Umm the size usually differ with style as well. I would say you give it a try as ZARA footweat falls under one size down.

Where do we find the website you used to plug in your measurements and get a size recommendation?
All the measurements/Size guide is provided in all their website/app- may be H&M or ZARA.
Just type sizeguide in their search bar and you should get that.

According to my experience, even I am struggling to find the best trouser that fit me from ZARA.
So in that case, I wont be able to recommend the exact.
But for 30 inches = EUR 40.
The sizes in ZARA and H&M are listed in EUR so you can check for EUR 40.

ZARA size differ according to each counties.
So probably you need to figure out the one international size for yourself as given in the video and convert the other sizes into that.

You can go with EUR 38 for bottoms in ZARA and H&M with your described waist size.

Honestly, I am not satisfied with ZARA jeans..
Like I an too 26 and I got EUR 36 but it was not fitting properly from waist and even in length in my case..
So I would suggest go to store and try it there itself.. it's easier to get the fit according to style from the store.
