- Come shop with me and let's try and figure out why Zara sizing is so weird! I've been having a hard time getting my sizing right from Zara. So when I saw a TikTok about their secret size guide I jumped all over that. But is it real? Is there really a secret guide? So I head to the Mall to finally get the Zara sizes explained and answer the question "What's My Size?"

As I see it, mature women tend to carry their weight differently than young women, and Zara caters to a younger crowd. So their clothing tends to be cut a little smaller than other brands (more like Junior sizing), whereas Free People's items are generously cut (more like Misses sizing). I love both stores! By the way, a lot of stores like to boast they are size inclusive. When are they going to start being age inclusive? Probably not gonna happen because ageism is the last acceptable prejudice!
I agree with this and to make the sizing matter worse - they have a teen line which is even smaller then everything else. And I like to say this "No one is checking my ID when I'm checking out so I'm going to shop wherever I want." ❤
I read posts by Zara workers who say the shapes correspond to LINES/ depts of office more classical etc etc
Just bought a top from them for the first time and couldn’t even get it around my torso! I, too, am a 4 and normally wear a small and they don’t show those symbols online, so you can’t use them to gauge. But your vid was super helpful! I will order a Med from now on. Thanks!
