    As always absolutely fascinating.
    Talking of which, Hemsby to Sea Palling with its off-shore barrage would be a good one to apply your magic too?
    An interesting exercise here in what happens if you dont defend the coastline from the sea & the obvious benefits of doing so.

      Definitely on my ever growing to do list! I had a sneaky peek at the coastline near Hornsea and gosh its changed!

      @@JamesFoxTimeTravelArtist On Withernsea seafront there is a sign showing where a church used to be many years ago - far out to sea.
      Part of the history -
      "Old Withernsea was largely destroyed by the 15th century. In 1444 the church had been abandoned because of coastal erosion, and within a few years the entire village had been lost to the sea".

    I'm guessing a lot of that washed away material ended up at Orford Ness.
