The best thing he did in the video is showing the TV model number. Most TH-camrs when illustrating some settings in TVs don't do that kind of action
I went into my settings on my TCL 50" 4K HDR and turned it on. My PS4 ( original ) and it AUTOMATICALLY picked it up. This new patch is SWEET!
Thanks for the how to video, got a new LG with hdr and couldn't get the hdr to work with ps4 until I did the hdmi settings on the TV, now working and looking amazing.

Omg we have the exact same model and TV ! I just fixed things today i've never known that i can enable HDR from this cuz the PS4 have been fooling me 5 years now telling me the TV don't support it while it was just disabled automatically on the HDMI output where i was playing and it was already enabled on HDMI 1 so i swaped as u did and boom ! Finally i got what i've been missing in 5 years and i figured out all that just today cuz i never known that it was enabled on HDMI1 nor that the TV supported it... Aaaaah can't believe for 5 frickin years i didn't search it and guess who helped? Some guys playing DMC5 on ytb got better colors and display so i searched and got u Lol tnx sm dude ^^
I find that if you play single player games.. then turning the judder reduction all the way to 10 is the way to go... it runs more smoothly and some games look like movies because of it

My Toshiba 4K TV does have HDR. My 4K TV works perfectly with HDR. My TV definitely works perfectly with 4K and HDR enabled for PlayStation 4.

Can you help me? I have a Samsung 4k tv but under the settings I don't have this settings.. and my play ps4 pro says "HDR not supported.. your tv might support a higher quality and 4k HDR if you change its settings. Check your TV's settings. But I don't know which tv settings to change

Hi mate. Quick question, for HDR does my ps4 need to be connected directly to the tv or can it be connected to my receiver (which is a 2014 non HDR receiver). The receiver is then connected to the TV. For info purposes I am using the KS 8500
I also have a PS4 slim. Can you please suggest me a monitor with these type of settings atleast HDR option should be enabled

I got the same tv always struggle getting the colours right for different games, sometimes it’s too dark and sometimes it’s too bright can’t even look at the tv if the games in a outdoor area, always messing around with the brightness depending on the game scenario :( .Can you please do a video about getting the best colour accuracy on that Samsung tv with the PS4 Pro??

I have a samsung 4k tv (same one as yours) but whenever I try and change it to "HDR", it says "Your TV does not support 4k" for some reason.

wawa you have to make sure you are using the hdmi 1 port. I had the same problem until I heard him say that you have to switch it to that port specifically. Or maybe you just have an older model, but then again why would you have the option period🧐 call the tv manufacturer see if they can help.
Because you do not have the ps4 pro, you have to have the ps4 pro to change it to 4k

@@kelvinkarter9757 Currently, I'm replaying Ghost of Tsushima. In that game, HDR is a great thing for all of the day time moments but terrible for night time because it makes it almost impossible to see any obsticles in your way. How about you?

My Mate Vince, I have one last question, I dont know if you are sure, but when you turned on hdr to your ps4 slim, is there a difference in the quality without the hdr turned off because I heard alot of people say that there is no difference and i want to. make sure so that im ready to get my hdr tv soon, thank you👍
You will only notice a difference if the game you are playing has been patched for HDR. You can Google a list (a very short list) of compatible games.

Bro i just bought my first 4k tv and it has hdr but when i go to HGiG its greyed out , i cant select it.. do you know why? From the ps4 menu i can select and change my hdr settings but not from tv settings

remember to get hdr if you have a vr head set diconect as it will knock hdr of hope helps ps put HDMI cable from tv straight to ps4 or your pro regards Wayne

story for you - this rainy morning saw in slim settings HDR not supported, I inputted the cable from hdr 1 to hdr 2 where my x1x is and voila. The slim then said 'hdr supported'.
x1x was in the hdr 1 where slim formerly was. A game came one and the TV activated game mode - confused because the slim should have from the start. To make doubley sure downloaded in agains INSECTS demo when i deleted yesterday and HDR & 4K was there.
Finally returned the slim to hdr 1 which had not supported hdr and now the settings in slim says it does and the tv went to GAME MODE.
My SAMSUNG 50" was made in 2019, with 3 hdmi ports - theorizing my screen has all ports HDR, its menu does not have function to manually set any to hdmi as yours. Maybe if i recall I played a game on slim before the HDR came on?

I have a Samsung tv as well 4k 65 js8000 I believe is the model number, it's hdr 100% one of the reasons I bought it! The problem I'm having is when I try enabling it on the ps4 it just continues to tell me my tv does not support hdr....i have tried every HDMI port and still won't let me enable it on the ps4...also too mine works on all 4 HDMI because it let's me enable it in the tv menu for each port...i really have no idea what to do now

I have problem streaming videos using my ps4, sometimes its blurry and sometimes its clear. I already change the HDMI cable to a high-speed 18Gbps which supports UltraHD/4K/3D/HDR and still have some issues. I called my IP provider and guided mo reset my router, it wirked for a while but the blurry is still there. I have a high speed internet 230mbps and I don't know what it causing the problem. But if I watched movies direct to my 55” Samsung Smart TV, I have no problem at all.

So you enabled UHD Colour but when you switch to game mode in the end you leave "HDR+Mode" off? I thought thats the HDR setting then? Because if im enabling HDR+Mode only i get a super yellow dimmy picture

Dante Sparda try switching HDMI ports to one that supports HDR and try putting HDR on your tv first.
Make sure your ps4 hdmi is plugged into the Hdmi1 port than you turn on the hdr on the ps4
