Has optimus 2 NFC and google assistant?
Just received kospet prime optimus 2 ordered from bangood last jan 7 2022 and was surprised that no extra charger and cable included. Whereas your video shows extra charger included somewhat i was deceived.

Thanks for watching. Best I can advise it the SIM needs to be a nanoSIM card and the carrier must operate on the GSM network like AT&T or T-Mobile in the USA. Beyond that it will be a dance between you and your carrier to get special APN configurations worked out if it doesn't work plug-and-play. Good luck!

There are cheap wireless plans you can get for a watch. 5 to 15 per month. If you use Google voice you can share a number between watch and cell and have the same number for both
Hi Mr Smartwatch Ticks, thx for your great & helpful reviews over the past years! I bought this watch and will be happy to add user experiences once every couple of months. I'm posting a question as well - font size in apps. Can't adjust it in the usual way in Android (settings, display) on this watch. The font is so small I can hardly read whatsapp, browser and other apps I install. Is this a general issue in Android 10 / would you know a workaround? Thx René

There's just one things I'm not sure on as I'm a heavy sleeper I need to know if the watch has a vibration on it for the alarm clock and if the speaker wud be loud enough. This one has a pretty decent and loud speaker, so there's good chance it could work for you. As for vibration, it's about average and not super strong.

No, sorry, it doesn't support Bluetooth calling. It would need a separate mirrored SIM for that.

TH-cam works for sure. Don't know about streaming services like Netflix, Disney+, etc.
In the map mode (Historical view) on the right it is (+) Plus to increase the zoom, while on the left it is (-) minus to reduce the zoom..

Press power button and toggle circle/square to see and check 3rd permission then toggle back. Be sure to turn off in Optimization so it will run in background. You already know how to do this as I've covered it many times. Have fun!

It would be great to see some side by side size comparisons with some Android 7 watches.
I am currently using a Kospet Optimus Pro, and I get the impression that these newer Android 10 watches are a fair bit larger than the previous generation.
I'm kinda interested in upgrading at some point, but the Optimus Pro is already a pretty big watch and I'm concerned that these newer watches will be a bit too big.
Basically you are right. The older Android 5.1 and 7.1.1 watches tended to be AMOLED screen 1.39 inch watches and the new breed of 7.1.1 and 10 are the 1.6 inch variety. Once one company jumps they all jump and it's really difficult to find a round Android watch under 1.6 inches anymore.
Please tell me that from where and how you get it so early.

Proprietary connection from the company wanting a review to coincide with the public release date. Shipping has been their option. This one I'm pretty sure came out of Saudi Arabia through Bahrain, then to Europe, and bounced to USA to get to me. Faster than direct from China. When they want to make it happen, they can make it happen.

This was during COVID and many shipments were backed up, so it was about 6 weeks. Shipping of ANYTHING is extra long these days but getting better.
How do they behave in water? Can the screens be locked for swimming?
Only the more waterproof versions like the LEM14 or S08 can be put in water. Because of the rotating camera module at the top, the OPTIMUS 2 watch body isn't fully sealed against water intrusion.
But do they have the same feature like the T-Rex, that is the screen can be locked for swimming?

My main issue with all these watches I've tried (starting with ZGPax s8 maaany years ago up to Genesis from last year) - has been battery time with cellular connection on. They all have been overheating and then dying within just a few hours. Wondering is it better nowadays? Can it last through at least a day with lte enabled? )
My kospet prime 2 is typical of the latest breed of smart watches it lasts 30 hours with cellular and Bluetooth and WiFi on , GPS off p.s.my first smart watch was also the at pax s8 and I have bought most of the latest ever since.
I'm pretty sure you'll see better results with this one because of the dual processor system. Nobody has tested it extensively yet as it is too new. Only a few of us have samples.

3 days without charging with this watch
I have the Optimus 2 and I get 2 days with Cellular and Wifi on the whole time. I also have a rectangular Ticwris Max s and get 2 full days with it.
Amoled display and a little bit of work on the the OS and UI is all it needs to be perfect.

No, that's making the background black instead of white like the rage now on phones. The circle/square change is still available with a long press on the side power button.

Yes, absolutely. I think I demo that in one of these videos about the Prime 2 or Optimus 2. It's pretty cool. With Button Mapper you can even reserve a long press or double tap on the Back button to toggle the flashlight on and off. Lots of flexibility with these watches.

I received mine 3 days ago and my battery is at 43% I haven't charged it again since. I love this watch but wish he had the TicWatch pro 4g design military thing plus ip68.

Yeah, finally Optimus 2 is out. Good one step forward adding flash led in camera module. the camera is more reasonable and usable in that position, and no bump side face camera is so great. i'm still waiting NFC feature... but if it difficult and impossible to implement like google pay, just add passive NFC just like NFC ring has , coz we can use it for opening smart door lock . Is there other version of 128G ROM capacity?
I don't think there's much interest in NFC from the companies unless it could be used for transaction processing. There will probably be more 128GB watches in the near future, just not out yet.
Just curious, but what do you need 128GB of storage for on a watch?

G'day mate from Australia. I'm interested in this type of watch to replace my phone at times when it is inconvenient to carry it. The main reason I'm looking at this type of watch is I love audio books via the Audible app and samsung or wear os don't support it. Apple does but I hate Apple phones. Could you please try downloading the audible app on a Android 10 watch and see if it is functional though bluetooth as a stand alone and not linked to a phone. I'm sure there are other audible addicts like me wondering the same thing. Great work and thanks for your channel ;-)

I just got my optimus 2 I can get it to pair with the app but not fully paired ,Bluetooth won't even connect
Try doing a factory restore of the watch, reset your phone, and take your watch and phone outside away from any other Bluetooth devices to get them to pair.

No, only GSM network supported services like AT&T or T-Mobile.
Using 4G, how longer the battery last?
Sorry, haven't run battery tests on this one, especially with a 4G SIM in it. Obviously, battery life would also depend on how often you used 4G for calls and data, how strong your signal is in your area (low signal takes more power for the constant connection pinging that happens in the background), and other factors. Not sure you're going to get a solid answer without doing your own testing.
@@SWT Hi I bought the watch last week and am using it all day with nanosim on, bluetooth on, brightness 50% and screen out after 30 sec. The battery goes from 100% to 30% in about 15 hours. That's good enough to last for a day.
Can this run google fit app on it?
It should run OK but it hasn't been tested for linking to the heart rate sensor or the GPS. Somebody with time on their hands needs to do that for us on all these different Android watches and different versions of Android.
Does it have an Always on Display Mode??...???
No, sorry, these new ones don't use AMOLED screens and that plus the transflective screens are the only kind that can handle always on. All others have a backlight that eats too much power to keep lit up all the time.
After using this watch for almost 1 year, I have the conclusion that it is the Smartest watch ( Health feature not tested), is indeed the best and smartest of All smart watches, because of the Full android system it has, especially the google assistant function is identical to that of android phone, which is super super convenient when using on your wrist, much much smarter than any wear os watch Including the Samsung galaxy watch 4 classic , plus the fact that the battery life is still good and was much better than other full android watch I tested.
Be amazing if they added infrared illuminator too.

didn't know where to put this but....you have the best unboxing videos of all unboxing videos. Is there any chance you would explain what you do to produce such fantastic videos? Questions I have are: Where is your camera, looks like it might be on a tripod in front of your chest? Do you use a separate mic? What is your lighting? Where is your monitor so you can see what you are recording? Anything else you might want to pass along. If this comment is wrong for here, please delete it.
Haha, I love that it looks so professional! I shoot with an Android phone (Revvl 5G) hanging off the end of a cutting board sitting on the top of a black, two step stool on the floor. No separate mic, just the phone mic, and I sit slightly off camera on the floor (sometimes my big toe creeps in the lower left and I don't notice it -- watch for it!). Lighting is whatever is shining through the windows and doors, but I do play with the color balance a bit in the camera app sometimes. I keep the house lights off and do all recording during the main part of the day avoiding early morning and late afternoon. My worst visual issue is that the paper I use to show the specs (high end production technique) comes out slightly blue because the white balance is set for outdoors).
As for a monitor, well, I'm peering over the camera and go back and forth from looking at the camera to looking at the watch directly. In my Android watch reviews with front facing cameras, you get to see the watch-eye-view pointed up (bottom of the cutting board with the phone peering over) when I show the front camera live on the watch screen.
For audio control, I try to scare away the chickens and work around the horny doves during mating season. Sometimes a rooster gooses a hen and she cackles for 20 minutes or so, in which case I do something else for awhile. Other than that it's shooting between neighbors mowing their lawns.
I guess by way of a tip, I'd say fiddle with your setup to get something that looks good, check your lighting and audio before starting, shoot in reasonable segments, and be yourself, enjoying what you are doing! Studio on a budget.....

Hello Mr tics, actual purchased the Kospet Prime S sent it back to their company because speaker went out with in a month. they did not have anymore to replace so they sent me the Optimus 2 for extra $80. I seemed to not have much luck with the Kospet watches same with Optimus 2 it kept rebooting then come up 3 times with it saying to factory reset which i done . Now it only charges up to 91 % Cant be bothered sending it back too. Hasd this one for almost a month. Still like the watcxhes both of them but not what you pay for them to stop working properly . lol
Sorry to hear about your problems. If you have time, please report this over on www.fullandroidwatch.org as they provide some tech support and work directly with Kospet on problems like this. They may have some ideas for you to restore your charges to 100% as well. Read through the Optimus 2 thread for ideas.

Oh, there's interest, it's a matter of security and the banking industry. This Android OS is open design and not closed proprietary like the Wear OS by Google OS, so banks haven't signed off on the software. The hardware would be easy. NFC chips are much easier than GPS chips, but it's more banking issues blocking it.

No, just splash proof and be careful of water near the camera module. These rotating cameras have openings for the cable to move and water could get in there.

Sure! It also supports Google Navigation if you have a SIM in it or are connected to WiFi (like your phone in WiFi hotspot, for example).
Can we take photo of documents and read it?
Sure! And you can install a PDF reader, like Acrobat, just like on an Android phone. There's a trick you can use to triple tap your screen and zoom into documents to make them easier to read.

Check out the Lemfo LEM14, Rogbid Brave or Brave Pro, or the Rollme S08, etc. Any of them using this body and construction is considered waterproof. Some are Android 7 and others are Android 10. Have fun with your search!
This watch had a lot of potential unfortunately the batter died after a year of medium usage, wish they could have use Samsung battery technology and a USB C charging cable instead of proprietary cable.🤔

I have finally received from Aliexpress this watch , and here is my opinion
in comparison to LEMFO 13 and 15 from tech an comfort point of view .
It's substantially better, stronger battery ,stable software ( exactly same software
as LEMFO ) wrist band's quality substantially better , everything seems to work
very fine , the Chinese even produced a Western like operation manual . As I suspected
this may well be the flagship of the Chinese smart watch industry . Their APP
GaoFit is a complete disaster full of ads and spyware , therefore I strongly
recommend the potential buyers not to use this APP at all . Also a word of caution Kospet
Global and Online ethics stinking , in order to excuse their logistic and shipping isses
they produce fake postal tracking numbers ,and so you wind up with serious delays
not that they end up cheating you but simply lie like rest of those Chinese !
Glad you like the smartwatch. Yea, the tethering app needs some work to bring it up to par. Some folks use the app suite "Watch Droid" instead. As for shipping, it's wide open now with Covid affecting everything. Tracking numbers often change as packages move from one carrier to another when moving between countries. Main thing is you got it.
Just ordered this watch. From what I can tell it is missing 3 essential things that will hopefully be on the next model: Bluetooth sharing so you can answer calls and text through the watch from your phone, multi-touch ,and some sort of ip rating.

Unfortunately it doesn't come in AMOLED SCREEN, so no Always Time Feature...what a disappointment for a smart watch
Sadly, none of the current or future ones are planned to have AMOLED screens at this time. That seems to be a 2018/2019 relic. They got stuck at 1.39 inches and folks clamored for larger, so the size tradeoff meant letting go of Always Time. It could be revived if someone R&Ds a larger AMOLED screen in the 1.6 - 2.0 inch range.

Not really impressed - I'll stick with my FAW upgraded kospet prime 2 with integrated Google apps and assistant launched with a simple button press.

I don't really care about the watches app functions as long as I know they work identical to the phone apps. What I care about is the durability. Is my money worth spending on this item or not? Why spend a quarter of a grand just to have it destroyed by water.

@@lecdj2009 Well, the company is Kospet and yes, there is a Kospet Prime 2, but there is no "Optimus Prime 2" as in your comment. There is an "Optimus Prime" character in the Avenger Universe. Hope that clears things up.

Oh Mr ticks can’t believe your reviewing this watch for this company this company is not good I purchased this watch a month ago and it’s defective sent them numerous emails with a video of what the watch does try calling the number on there website nothing to return it or get my money back. It’s unbelievable so just fyi
