I just have to say that this is how you do a reaction video. I wish everyone would do it like this. fill the screen with what's happening and nail the audio quality then place yourself down in the corner. Well done.
@Rob Soergel I agree 100% with your opinion about the technical aspects, and want to add: some of the more intelligent running commentary I've come across in the plethora of "reaction videos". As we all know, there's a ton of them out there, just for this one particular performance. For my taste, this was very well done!!!!
Floor is awesome, she brought all the magic back that was gone with Tarja... and more! She is really a metal-head. Try out "Song of myself" from the same gig.
i get the chills every time i listen to this. its like my bones turn to ice, and yet i still feel warm inside. so powerful and beautiful. (i think i got something in my eye..)
Floor was meant for Nightwish and Nightwish was meant for Floor. Everything each had done prior was nothing less than honing for this prefect union. I don’t think either would be able to sustain themselves to this degree should something ever happen to this band. I think Toumas knows this. I hope they have the wisdom, temperaments, patience to endure. Their music is truly a gift. Good reaction. Very insightful and articulate.
@@JuniioMusic Remember catching the best audio/video quality version of the song as there are many out there and the most viewed one is lacking proper video quality. Here's the best audio/video quality version of Nightwish - The The Poet and the Pendulum (Wembley 2016): th-cam.com/video/X2BYHEwD2B0/w-d-xo.html Thumbs up and have fun + greetings from Finland, home of Nightwish. :)
Probably one of the best reactions I've seen to this song! (And I watched most of them). After this, you look like the most appropriate person ever for reacting to another live masterpiece: "Nightwish - The Poet and the Pendulum (live at Wembley)". The level of composition, musicianship and performance of these guys will blow your mind. Also, though different from Nightwish, let me recommend you "Delain - Masters of Destiny" and "Ankor - Lost Soul"
Juniio, I've been waiting for this! Thanks for your reaction! Good insights as usual, there's just something magical about this performance. It is the complete picture I guess, one where the live performance transcends the studio recording. I do believe that symphonic metal lends itself well for great crowds and this epic feel.
Welcome to the wonderful world of Nightwish! You've sent up the metal flare, so us fans have come flocking to share the insights of the band and their music. Great reaction. The last note she hits on this song is what we call the Floorgasm. This epic song, like most of Nightwish's music is written by the keyboardist, Tuomas Holopainen. I'd like to recommend "Nightwish - Romanticide (Live Wacken 2013)" next as it features an incredible performance by both their male and female vocalists. Thanks and looking forward to more!
@Adam Blackstone Good recommendation; I'll second that. It really highlights just how well their two voices blend and complement. And of course, it has its own "Floorgasm moment" ;-)
I will always love and respect Tarja for trailblazing that operatic sound with metal that she's so widely known for, but for me personally, Floor is the most perfect solution the band could have found to fill that space in their lineup. They're all so obviously conformable with each other and friendly, but are also consummate professionals and artists on their own. You can see the whole band gelling together in a truly special way. I was also an old fan who drifted away when Anette took up the mantle (I don't dislike her, she just doesn't speak to me the same way the other two girls do) and I had a similar experience when I first watched Floor. Anything else from this concert would be a great follow up. I'm sure Poet and the Pendulum has already been recommended, but I also really like Storytime, Last Ride of the Day, and Dark Chest of Wonders. You could also check out the Wembley 2015 performance of Shudder Before the Beautiful, My Walden, or Alpenglow. Thanks for this awesome review!
Some awesome info and insight in this comment, I feel the same way about Tarja. Now that I've discovered Floor I'm looking forward to getting back into Nightwish! Thanks for the suggestions as well, glad you enjoyed the video \m/
I've watched a lot of reactions to Ghost Love Score, but your video has been the only one I've seen that's analyzed the lyrics and expatiated their interpretation in depth. Well done!
Great reaction!! I love how you took your time and analysed every part of the song, that really shows that you were indeed interested in what you were hearing! I know that someone else already suggested it but I am going to ask you to react to "The poet and the pendulum" live at Wembley too. Have a nice day and thank you!
Loved every single second of your reaction! The way you described metal music in general is the exact reason why I listen to it. And yes like you've already seen, Floor Jansen is so versatile she can sing whatever she wants and how ever she wants. I do recommend Romanticide next!
Not really. She can't sing whatever, not even from Nightwish (early material). BUT she can sing the songs that count, and she is by far the most versatile and most fitting vocalist for Nightwish; since unlike Tarja and Annette, she seems to be made from the same primordial metal ooze that rest of the band was made from as well. :)
Flawless Victory, once you started breaking down the first verse I immediately subscribed. I'm a huge Nightwish fan and you kept nailing why they've always lived on my phone, ready to be blasted. I've had the privilege to see them three times live now, the first time was actually Floor's second show with the band in 2012, seeing how the music and aura have completely melded and grown with her presence and talent and emotionality when singing is amazing and this trend of reactors watching this song makes my soul glow.
Nightwish live is a force of nature...I was there in Wacken ;) But I can connect with you in terms why we listen to metal, why we got to concerts. Have fun with Nightwish but you can also try After Forever. This was Floors first band.
I do not know if you are aware that this singer is their third one. Her name is Floor Jansen. Anette Olzon was the second singer after Tarja. You have missed 6 years with Floor. She used to be with After Forever and ReVamp. If you want to hear more of Floor any song from this concert is really good. They are better live. I saw them. They are amazing live. In this song Marco the bassist sings backup for Floor. I don't know if you know Tuomas Holopainen(key board player) composes and writes the lyrics for 95% of their songs. Emppu is the guitarist. Jukka is on drums. Jukka had to step down from drums due to trouble with insomnia. He works in management for now. Kai Hahto from Wintersun is doing the drumming at the moment. They also added Troy Donockley who is a multi instrumentalist and does some vocals. I hope you continue to take the journey to rediscover Nightwish. You will not be disappointed. I know their are a lot of fans that will join you on the journey. Play a couple more Nightwish songs and you will see a very dedicated fan base on your channel. I would suggest "Song of Myself" live at Wacken 2013. I hope the information helped. Thank you and I subbed.................... :-)
Some great info in here, thanks for that and the support as well! After seeing the reception to this video I'm sure I'll continue doing Nightwish songs every so often.
Ann. When you watch someone new react to Ghost Love Score do you share the same dread as I do, that they'll pause just before the last Floorgasm note. Such a relief when they don't. In fact the only guy to mess with the ending had to add "The worst" to the beginning of his name. You know the one.
Nice reaction. I am a Nightwish fan and have seen many reactions to this. Yours is one of the best. I like your set up. I like the effort that you make, the sharing of your thoughts and feelings. New sub. I have seen Nightwish live in 2015 and last year in 2018. among the best concerts I’ve ever been to, and I am a senior citizen! Floor is amazing and so versatile. I hope you remain open to enjoying the brilliance of many different kinds of music. Let me come up with a few suggestions about that, which I promise will be a nice surprise 😀🎹
I've watched about 100 people react to this performance and the floorgasm reactions are always just the best. Reading your face during that summy up what happened to me when first seeing that... EXCEPT I WAS IN WACKEN 2013 maybe the best reaction so far. Especially your ejoyment of the peace during the middle is something noone really went into
I agree with Mario Sanz' comment, your reaction really is one of the best, thank you so much for this! I like how you share deeper thoughts on the song and I ESPECIALLY enjoyed the fact you also checked out the lyrics which imo always is super important with Nightwish and many other reactors seem to not care about this important aspect at all. Allow me to request Nightwish's two longest masterpieces (both for their music and lyrics) for your future reactions: The Poet and the Pendulum (live at Wembley) -highly recommended to also do some background research before reacting to this one!- and The Greatest Show On Earth (live at Tampere) -watch until the very end of credits to not miss a part of its text-. And for another awesome vocal experience: Sancta Terra (Epica feat. Floor Jansen live Retrospect). Subscribed and looking forward to your next reactions!!
Awesome, thanks for the comment and the support, I'm glad you enjoyed the video! And don't worry, I've added both those songs to the list and, considering how well this video did, I'll be sure to do Nightwish again soon \m/
I personally prefer Floor over Anette or Tarja because of the versatility and her presence on the stage, just fits Nightwish so well. Now I feel like Ghost Love Score is a great introduction to anyone(re-introduction for you), it serves the purpose of convincing people that Nightwish is still going strong with the new vocalist as most of the older fans still hold Tarja as the one and only capable vocalist to front the band. GLS as a song is pretty simple, not too technical overall and compared to some of the band's other work somewhat one-dimensional. Beautiful melodies of course. As plenty of people have suggested, react to the Poet and the Pendulum live at Wembley. That's just... something else. Every time I hear it I'm blown away thinking that Tuomas Holopainen composed the song alone. Just so many layers. That song alone makes me proud to be a Finn! Great stuff with the reaction 👌
What I like about Floor is her body language fits the vocals. When she sings "My fall", it's literally like time stands still amidst the background chant. It doesn't feel like a performance, but an experience. There are a lot of great singers like Tarja who I loved on "Sleeping Sun", but Tarja's stage presence didn't change much from that. Floor looks like she's being controlled by the song.
Floor Jansen is the 3rd singer of Nightwish. Tarja Turunen (original) was pure operatic singer, Anette on the other hand rock/pop vocalist. Floor can sing pretty much any style she wants, I think she is the most 'metal' of all three. Her harsh vocals reminds me of Cadaveria (ex-Opera IX) I like my metal brutal, progressive and technical as much as the next metalhead, but in this type of music all I need is a 1.) strong melody and 2.) emotion. Hopefully you do more Nightwish in future!
Yeah I didn't realize until after I made this video that she was actually the third singer. I had forgotten Annette's name and just assumed that this was her. However, reflecting back on the song, I think I do like Floor better than Annete. Annete always seemed too poppy for me, which may have been why I stopped following them. Don't worry, I'm sure I'll do more Nightwish!
@@JuniioMusic This kinda happened to me as well, and the whole band flew out of my radar for a while. Luckily I found Nightwish again, and thanks to Floor's versions of the songs I listened the two albums recorded with Anette again. Some seriously good songwriting there! Anette also sounded less poppy, and bit more theatrical on "Imaginaerum". Like in a song "Scaretale" where she sounds like evil witch from Tim Burton movie :D Your wishlist must be quite long already, but if you are into melancholy doom/death metal checkout "Catherdral Walls" by Swallow The Sun (feat. Anette Olzon)
I'll probably get textually abused by people for comparing the two, but I enjoy Symphonic Metal for the same reason I got heavily into electronic music back in my youth, any genre of Trance, House or NRG with an overlay of female vocals being hauntingly sung, it truly does raise the music to another level. There's something about the female voice which can pierce the soul and extract emotions from me, I'm sure I'm not the only one because even in Electronic music the use of female vocals is very popular as it is in Symphonic Metal. Female vocal trance and Symphonic Metal in my mind can be very close in what they try to achieve, they have peaks and troughs for the listener to enjoy the build-up and feel the power of what the piece of music is trying to illustrate in our minds. Especially with quality EDM, the music is trying to play with your mind constantly. It's a bit difficult to sift through all of the female vocal trance that is now available, I don't bother anymore as I've moved on from that era of my life, but with Nightwish, I know I'm on a winner with Floor :) ..... and Tarja.
Really enjoyable reaction. You are well-spoken and clearly understand the music, i comes across really well and makes for an enjoyable video all round. Liked and subscribed. You mentioned about her vocal range and changing styles. This song, while showing some of what she can do is just the tip of the iceberg. She goes a bit more metal in Romanticide, with an ascending note in there that rocks the very heavens. The Poet and the Pendulum highlights an even more angelic vocal, filled with raw emotion. Yours is an Empty Hope is where she shows that she really can do it all, if you listen carefully to the chorus, she is doing the dark, growl counterpoint to the bassists vocals. Proper down and dirty growls, like from the pit of hell itself, I love it. She is basically just a vocal goddess. Oh one small thing, you weren't to know of course, but the song is written by Tuomas, the Jack Sparrow looking keyboard player (hell Jack Sparrow looks like HIM, Tuomas has been around longer) as is the vast majority of songs and the composition of the music too. The lad is a complete genius.
Yeah it seems like this current singer is quite versatile and a favorite among the fans, which is awesome! Thanks for the support, it's really appreciated! And I'll add your suggestions to the list as well, can't wait till I can revisit Nightwish \m/
Funny I comment a year after anybody else did, but you just showed up on my screen. I listened to all the Greats live in the 70's, Pink Floyd, Deep Purple, Led Zep, Edgar Broughton Band, Taste, Genesis, Ozzie, Franky Boy, and retreated over the last 40+ years to meditation music, etc. But Nightwish yanked me out of this, helped me tremendously through the Covid mess, and I love your sensible comment and way of presentation, of giving the stage to the artists, and being the commenting observer. Well done!
One of the most enjoyable reactions I have ever seen. I’ll wait for “Poet and the pendulum”! That’ll be a journey between the music and your comments hahaha
Tuomas is a composer that put his feelings into music and his mind into lyrics...the result of these two are one masterpiece of music after another. Every song every lyric has a deeper meaning, many he has explained in interviews but not all, but his music is just amazing. Sleeping Sun with Tarja from End Of An Era concert is one of Nightwish highlights.
Ditto to what Mario Sanz said below. I have literally watched every reaction to this performance, and I enjoy your style the most. #legit. I've only known about this band for a few months, but I can say with utmost certainty that they are fckn AMAZING! And this coming from a hardcore lifelong metalhead. They just blew me the fck away for sure. Its all just beautiful to me. Hey bro, just dive in and enjoy. Oh yeah, keep these coming man. Have a killer day. Peace.
Hell yeah man, the beauty of metal is that it's so diverse you could listen to it your whole life and still not hear everything it has to offer. Glad you enjoyed the video \m/
Thank you for the good quality video and reaction. Great that you go little bit deeper with lyrics and stuff. You should also try Poet and the Pendulum from wembley or Romanticide from this same concert.. or Greatest show on Earth from Tampere :) Keep up the good work :)
And to think, that was the encore of what was likely a two hour set for the band. Imagine keeping up that level of intensity for two frigging hours. Especially Floor, good lord.
One of the things I like most about metal is the sense of being part of something big when going to a concert. Especially at metal festivals. Being engulfed in metal for days, alongside likeminded, mannered and friendly people. It's like you're in one big family. When at festivals, of course there are bands that you don't like, and maybe just don't know. But the ambience and spirit in the crowd is contageous as hell, and even if you don't know, don't like or just don't listen to whatever band is playing, it's hard not to be infected by the good mood of the fellow metalheads that are fans. It's incredible. That and of course my love for crowdsurfing and circle pits. Falling down, getting picked up, brushed off and asked if you're okay by several strangers you never met, and probably won't see ever again gives me a feeling of acceptance and love from my fellow man. Metal = faith in humanity restored. I need metal festivals, to get away from all the asshole on the internet, and generally around the world.
this performance and song is for me something more than "just" music, they will move my soul - and Your reaction, Your feelings increase the conviction that this piece, this performance, this is a work of art - thank You, & regards from Poland :)
Hi, I thoroughly enjoyed this reaction video. Thanks for sharing your thoughts and feelings - not just as they pertain to the song itself but, also, to life. And, yes, girls watch you, too! Liked and subscribed!
Loved this reaction! The way symphonic metal delivers emotion is really unique for me, that's why I love it. Next I would like to see your reaction to Nightwish - The Poet and The Pendulum ( live @ Wembley 2016) please!!
You are only the second person to pay real attention to the lyrics of this song, really appreciate that. Keep up the good work so that I won't regret subscribing your channel.
I totally dig NIghtwish. I have seen them live a couple of times. Floor is a Norse Goddess with the voice of an angel. They deliver EVERY time in concert. Love your reaction. One of the more cerebral interpretations I've seen online.
it's okay, kid.. you have been properly reintroduced to Nightwish,,,,If you have not been checking out Nightwish in the last 6 years- you've not been living.. Check out anything from Wacken Concert .. Tampere and Wembley too.. Not a dud in the bunch..By the way, Kamelot's new singer is doing just fine too...
I agree with whatever ann has to say!🤘 That aside two tracks id recommend are romanticide and everdream, both of them are complete opposites and thus highlights nightwish and floors versatility (both were performed in waken, so they sound amazing)
Think I relate alot to you, the way you think on this and music and general. You should check out more nightwish, I recommend poet and the pendulum and the greatest show on earth. Nice reaction!

Nightwish Live at Wacken Open Air 2013 🎶🎶🎶 Epic concert! 🎶🎶🎶 Setlist: 1. Dark Chest of Wonders, 2. Wish I Had an Angel, 3. She is My Sin, 4. Ghost River, 5. Ever Dream, 6. Storytime, 7. I Want My Tears Back, 8. Nemo, 9. Last of the Wilds, 10. Bless the Child, 11. Romanticide, 12. Amaranth, 13. Ghost Love Score, 14. Song of Myself, 15. Last Ride of the Day
My favourite reaction ever, loved every second of it, thank you. Floor is the best, I love her since After forever and Revamp. She also participates in Ayreon Project, amazing. Suggestions: Floor in Nightwish: Romanticide, Song of Myself and Everdream, all from Wacken; Poet and the pendulum, from Wembley; Yours is an empty hope, from Baltic Princess. In Revamp: Wildcard, Neurasthenia, Disdain and Killing me with silence. In After Forever: Monolith of doubt, Energize me, The Leaden Legacy and My Pledge of Allegiance #1. Liked and subscribed, THANK YOU, once again, for this great analysis. See you soon :)
@@TerranigmaQuintet Never heard of that cover, so I looked it up. I watched the live version, it really emphasizes what a great (rock) singer Floor is. But I also love her operatic voice.
Please react to poet and the pendulum and while your lips are still red live from Wembley Arena. Storytime and shudder before the beautiful live from Tempere Finland.
great reaction Juniio I've watched this preformance well over 100 times and I have to tell you that moment when the 6 foot 2 inch tall Valkyrie Queen Floor Jansen grabs a reacter just never gets old your "floorgasm" was great I saw it in your face never be shy we all get it when she hits that note at the end I always subscribe to a channel when the reacter feels the music Is Floor the best and or best there ever will be well I for one am not sure all I can say is Ghost Love Score gets me every time when she does "Winner" on Beste Zangers gets me every time "the Greatest Show on Earth" the list goes on and I have watched them all multipal times not just to see the reaction but also for the music be true to yourself metal is great again.
Since Floor joined Nightwish I’m still amazed by her versatility . Nightwish got their groove back lol 🤟🏻👏🏻🔥💜🙌🏻🎸🎤 The Valkyrie Goddess can bring them to another level 🎇🔥💪🏻🤟🏻
You should check out more Nightwish with Floor. She is really amazing. Even her past bend was great. Tarja is already now history because Floor can do much much more. I watched a lot of these reaction youtubers and most of them dont know enough to say something specific to analize the song in the right way. You are amazing in that and for that i salute you man. Finally someone that can react to a great song and say something with comments which have weight and knowledge about metal music. Thank God! RESPECT! And for next reaction I recommend Nightwish - The Greatest Show On Earth, Vehicle Of Spirit-Live at Wembley (2015). Its from their next dvd. If you have another dvd two years after the last one, you now that your band kicks ass big time-all because of Floor (who else?). CHEERS!
Thanks, glad you enjoyed! I had a lot of fun with Nightwish, and I'll add your suggestion to the list. I'm actually doing another Nightwish video tomorrow, I have a poll up where you can vote between The Poet and the Pendulum and Romanticide - check it out if you want :)
Great job! This performance especially, and to a degree this concert, (and also Tampere and Wembley) mark some new high points in the already pretty impressive world of metal. The marriage of a top symphonic folk metal band and a beautiful, tall, strong, Northern European Metal Siren (and stage-and-multitude-commanding star, for that matter), that of Nightwish and Floor Jansen, was pretty much made in heaven, and resets the bar for huge, live, electric soul grabbing musical majesty. Suggesting Shudder, Storytime, Song of Myself, Poet and Greatest Story. All live. Gotta be live with this band.
My pick for a reaction. The only song that nearly brought me to tears was Neil Young MTV Unplugged “Like a Hurricane” P.S. Very easy to find on TH-cam.
What a glorious voice she has! What a band! And what production values! This is rock as Grand Opera/Theater. Once again, I am musically broadened. If you like big Euro metal fests, I think I once recommended the video entitled Rammstein - Rammvier / PROSHOT HD (Pinkpop Festival 2016). And btw: well-said about not letting bad experiences define who you are. You are wise beyond your years, oh J-Man of the Flowing Locks.
You said at 11:50, "She doesn't do that operatic no longer" this is an intire new singer, this is Floor Jansen. You knew the band with Tarja... two totaly different singers, Tarja is more heavy OPERA, while Floor is more operatic (lighter form of opera). Floor has some pop, rock, operatic and sometimes opera influences. Oh and i that last note she sang was what we call a "Floorgasm". And i wanted to say hi to Ann
When they came back from intermission they went into an Irish-sounding 3/4--6/8 meter for a short period then back into 4/4 time. They like to change it up.
A bit of a sea shanty there in the middle to go with the rather "aquatic" theme! I believe the song was written in the wake of a love lost. It is wistful and bittersweet.
I agree that the atmosphere is different at a metal concert than at most other types of concerts, and I'm not even that big of a metal fan myself. I think it's simply due to it being a "niche" music genre so the people who go to those concerts are *really* into it and not just the "Oh cool, there's a concert on in my city.." type of people. The people who go to metal concerts *really* want to go to metal concerts. If you take current popular artists like Ed Sheeran or whatever it's not like everyone at his concerts is a super fan by any means, it's just what's currently popular. That's not to take anything away from his success of course but the audience just isn't as "fanatic" and "nerdy" about mainstream pop music as they are about metal, hardcore techno, classical music, opera and other "niche" genres. When things become mainstream and widely popular, constantly played on the radio etc. the audience quality immediately drops significantly. You've seen that with hip hop in later years as well for example, it used to be a pretty "underground" thing where people were really passionate about it.
The song is written by the keyboardist Tuomas she doesn't write music for the band. This song is actually originally song by Tarja their original singer. This is from the album Once.
Very in-depth and on point. Another performance that invokes similar feelings for me is Iced Earth - Dante's Inferno (Alive in Athens). You should get around to react to it if you don't already know it. Regards from Germany
Want more of that folk in your Nightwish, try I want my tears back from the same concert then! You will get more of a taste from Marco, as well as Troy playing his instruments. And a great showcase to watch how the band loves playing together now as well. The epithome of a group of people having so much fun on stage.
Dude! you are great! i subscribed bc i wanna watch you react to more metal. You are in this genre already, but i can see you loving some good music, like when you mention Bob Dylan... Looking forward to hearaing from you more! You are also witty! Idk youre age but you are dead most far ahead!
"i am kind of speechless right now" ..well, i sure wont want to experience when you have a lot to say.

I've watched a lot of reactions to Ghost Love Score, but your video has been the only one I've seen that's analyzed the lyrics and expatiated their interpretation in depth. Well done!
Wow.. you’ve outdone every other youtube reaction video for this song. I really enjoyed it!❤️
Yay, glad you enjoyed!
Of an angel without care, for love and lost.......wow!
Great reaction!! I love how you took your time and analysed every part of the song, that really shows that you were indeed interested in what you were hearing! I know that someone else already suggested it but I am going to ask you to react to "The poet and the pendulum" live at Wembley too. Have a nice day and thank you!
Thanks, glad you enjoyed the video! And don't worry, the more people request a song the more likely it'll be done at some point :)
Loved every single second of your reaction! The way you described metal music in general is the exact reason why I listen to it. And yes like you've already seen, Floor Jansen is so versatile she can sing whatever she wants and how ever she wants. I do recommend Romanticide next!
Thanks, glad you enjoyed the video :) and tons of people have been requesting Romantacide so don't worry - it's definitely on the to do list!
Nightwish should perform at the Super Bowl
:O
Superb Owl?
As epic as that would be, America wouldn't be able to handle it. Or properly appreciate it
Americans would either shit themselves in amazement or hate it cuz they don't understand it
I enjoyed your thought process man, good review. U’ve got a new sub. Keep at it
I do not know if you are aware that this singer is their third one.
Does Marco sing backup vocals in Ghost Love Score? I never noticed that. I'm too focussed on Floor, I guess 😅
Some great info in here, thanks for that and the support as well! After seeing the reception to this video I'm sure I'll continue doing Nightwish songs every so often.
@@meganega123 no Marco does not sing in this song...
Ann. When you watch someone new react to Ghost Love Score do you share the same dread as I do, that they'll pause just before the last Floorgasm note. Such a relief when they don't. In fact the only guy to mess with the ending had to add "The worst" to the beginning of his name. You know the one.
@@sylbarynHe's the one that apologized to us. He really did feel bad didn't he?
Floor is Lava
Nice reaction. I am a Nightwish fan and have seen many reactions to this. Yours is one of the best. I like your set up. I like the effort that you make, the sharing of your thoughts and feelings. New sub. I have seen Nightwish live in 2015 and last year in 2018. among the best concerts I’ve ever been to, and I am a senior citizen! Floor is amazing and so versatile. I hope you remain open to enjoying the brilliance of many different kinds of music. Let me come up with a few suggestions about that, which I promise will be a nice surprise 😀🎹
Always open to exploring new music, I await your suggestions! Glad you enjoyed the video \m/
I've watched about 100 people react to this performance and the floorgasm reactions are always just the best. Reading your face during that summy up what happened to me when first seeing that... EXCEPT I WAS IN WACKEN 2013
maybe the best reaction so far. Especially your ejoyment of the peace during the middle is something noone really went into
Thanks, glad you enjoyed the video! I'm jealous that you got to see them live, they came around my area last year but I wasn't able to go :/
Floor rekindled the Nightwish flame for me too.
I think you hit the nail on the head with the lyrical interpretation. It's a lament for long lost love, and also a celebration for having loved.
Thanks for your reaction this great NW song! Great Job and Song Of Myself same consert next, please. Greetings from Finland and Hi To you Ann😊😍....
Hi! Jouni............. :-)
Yeah, I think the next Nightwish song I do will either be that one or Romaticide, both have gotten a lot of requests. Glad you enjoyed the video!
@@JuniioMusic you can't go wrong with either one, but while romanticide is "just" a great song, Poet and the pendulum is. Well, something far more
What I like about Floor is her body language fits the vocals.
I have literally watched every reaction to this video on YT, just to see the Floorgasm.
Floor Jansen is the 3rd singer of Nightwish. Tarja Turunen (original) was pure operatic singer, Anette on the other hand rock/pop vocalist. Floor can sing pretty much any style she wants, I think she is the most 'metal' of all three. Her harsh vocals reminds me of Cadaveria (ex-Opera IX)
I like my metal brutal, progressive and technical as much as the next metalhead, but in this type of music all I need is a 1.) strong melody and 2.) emotion.
Like in a song "Scaretale" where she sounds like evil witch from Tim Burton movie :D
Your wishlist must be quite long already, but if you are into melancholy doom/death metal checkout "Catherdral Walls" by Swallow The Sun (feat. Anette Olzon)
@@HiljaisetAskeleet This list can always get longer haha, thanks for the suggestion!
You had that looks like "Wtf just happened?" after that Floorgasm at the end. 😂
I recommend Epica - Sancta Terra (feat Floor Jansen) Live Retrospect show. Such an amazing performance :)
NightWish with Floor are something amazing - and yeah, there's something special about Metal, that's why I've been a Metalhead since the late 70's 🤘
Enjoyed your commentary. Great reaction.
Thanks, glad you enjoyed the vid!
"And that was the entire 3-day festival! Thank yooou!"
Ladies and Gentlemen You have just witnessed something that people say doesn't exist, "Perfection"...
All those songs are on the to-do list! Glad you enjoyed the video :)
i love how you share your thoughts, i feel you're one of the few genuine person doing reactions. keep it up man.
And to think, that was the encore of what was likely a two hour set for the band.
Imagine keeping up that level of intensity for two frigging hours. Especially Floor, good lord.
18:16 "Back to belting", or as we call it: "getting slapped on the forehead with a big fat Floorgasm" :P
The Floorgasm found another victim 😆 great reaction 🤘
Liked and subscribed!
haha welcome to the channel! I'm glad you enjoyed the video :)
Loved this reaction! The way symphonic metal delivers emotion is really unique for me, that's why I love it.
Next I would like to see your reaction to Nightwish - The Poet and The Pendulum ( live @ Wembley 2016) please!!
Achievement Unlocked: You`ve Been Floored!😍💞
You are only the second person to pay real attention to the lyrics of this song, really appreciate that. Keep up the good work so that I won't regret subscribing your channel.
Amazing performance!
True
Top 3 of my favorite reactions! Poet and the pendulum live Wembley. My favorite song all time
Well Nightwish brought me to you and your reaction made me subscribe so there you go more Nightwish they are quite astounding are they not?🤘❤
Oh they're incredible! And welcome to the channel, glad to have you \m/
Not a dud in the bunch..By the way, Kamelot's new singer is doing just fine too...
haha will do!
I agree with whatever ann has to say!🤘
That aside two tracks id recommend are romanticide and everdream, both of them are complete opposites and thus highlights nightwish and floors versatility (both were performed in waken, so they sound amazing)
I’m surprised she’s not here yet.
Think I relate alot to you, the way you think on this and music and general. You should check out more nightwish, I recommend poet and the pendulum and the greatest show on earth. Nice reaction!
Definitely check out The Greatest Show on Earth (Live in Tampere) if you're a fan of interesting lyrics!
Great review I enjoyed that you looked for the deeper meaning behind the lyrics
And yes, I again enjoyed this review. Seen all reviews of this song on internet.....
The Greatest Show on Earth live at Tampere!
Song Of Myself très belle chanson l'une de mes préférée j'adooore Floor est phénoménale vraiment et ce de la tête au pied 😁🥰🌹❤🙂🙆♀️🙋♀️

Your reacts are great, thank you!! 😊 Nightwish has this another (and many more ) Epic song , The Greatest show on earth, live at Tampere.. Wish you to React that 🤘 Huge tribute to life itself!!!
Great reaction! I also listen to every genre I can, but gravitate towards metal. Check out her performance of Poet and the Pendulum, live at Wembley.
YES YES YES YES CANT WAIT TO SEE IF YOU EXPERIENCED YOUR FLOORGASM
haha don't know what exactly you're referring to but yeah, I probably did. Edit - ah, her name is Floor, I understand now.
@@JuniioMusic 😂😂😂😂 yeah Haha I saw it . Was not disappointed !

Floor is the best, I love her since After forever and Revamp. She also participates in Ayreon Project, amazing.
Suggestions:
Floor in Nightwish: Romanticide, Song of Myself and Everdream, all from Wacken; Poet and the pendulum, from Wembley; Yours is an empty hope, from Baltic Princess.
Those songs of After Forever are awesome. You forgot Tortuous Threnody 😁
@@zerofan28 I may be a minority here, but I also love their cover of The evil that men do.
@@TerranigmaQuintet Never heard of that cover, so I looked it up. I watched the live version, it really emphasizes what a great (rock) singer Floor is. But I also love her operatic voice.

Goddess? Nay, she is a Valkyrie.
Romanticide: Wacken 2013!

great reaction Juniio I've watched this preformance well over 100 times and I have to tell you that moment when the 6 foot 2 inch tall Valkyrie Queen Floor Jansen grabs a reacter just never gets old your "floorgasm" was great I saw it in your face never be shy we all get it when she hits that note at the end I always subscribe to a channel when the reacter feels the music Is Floor the best and or best there ever will be well I for one am not sure all I can say is Ghost Love Score gets me every time when she does "Winner" on Beste Zangers gets me every time "the Greatest Show on Earth" the list goes on and I have watched them all multipal times not just to see the reaction but also for the music be true to yourself metal is great again.
Since Floor joined Nightwish I’m still amazed by her versatility . Nightwish got their groove back lol 🤟🏻👏🏻🔥💜🙌🏻🎸🎤 The Valkyrie Goddess can bring them to another level 🎇🔥💪🏻🤟🏻
You need to hear Yours is an Empty Hope Live version. Floor growls...
:O I have to add it to the list!
Great job dude. Love your approach. Would love to see your reaction to the greatest show on eArth live in tampere
The poet and the pendulum live from wembley could be the next!!!
My pick for a reaction. The only song that nearly brought me to tears was Neil Young MTV Unplugged “Like a Hurricane” P.S. Very easy to find on TH-cam.
beautiful song
That last note catches everyone off guard.
You have just been introduced Floor Jansen. The best IMO. She is perfect for NW.
Nightwish for ever !!!! check out: Song of Myself _ Greetings from Germany
I'll add it to the list, thanks for the suggestion! Greetings from Canada \m/
That is a title I shall accept with humility and wear with pride.
He was referring to her vocals earlier in the song, not Tarja.
Enjoyed most of the review. Wish you would have listened more to the music and commented at the end.
When they came back from intermission they went into an Irish-sounding 3/4--6/8 meter for a short period then back into 4/4 time. They like to change it up.
View The Greatest Show on Earth performed in a festival in Tampere, Finland. Brilliant.
That was some silent 'Floorgasm' you had, but I know you felt it 😅
The song is written by the keyboardist Tuomas she doesn't write music for the band.
I'll add it to the list!
Thank U for this review!)
"Romanticide" and "Song of myself" live from Wacken 2013 is next! Believe me these songs are masterpieces!
Want more of that folk in your Nightwish, try I want my tears back from the same concert then! You will get more of a taste from Marco, as well as Troy playing his instruments. And a great showcase to watch how the band loves playing together now as well. The epithome of a group of people having so much fun on stage.
I'll add it to the list!
If you think her range and variety was impressive here, check out "poet and the pendulum-live at wembley"
Dude! you are great! i subscribed bc i wanna watch you react to more metal. You are in this genre already, but i can see you loving some good music, like when you mention Bob Dylan... Looking forward to hearaing from you more! You are also witty! Idk youre age but you are dead most far ahead!
Thanks! Glad you're enjoying the videos homie, welcome to the channel \m/
