So I got this for a repair from a friend that was using it for some time. Overall console worked quite nice however somebody spilled some coke all over it.
Both faders and master stopped working. I cleaned them with 99% alcohol and they seem to work propertly again :)
Disassembly is pretty much straight forward - all the screws that you need to remove are marked with arrows - if it's not marked - you don't need to remove it.

if you still need to buy fader there are two options:
1: More expensive one: ebay - and search for DDJ-RB replacement fader
2: Cheaper one: search for DCV1010 replacement (it's actually fader for most of pioneer mixers) but it's acutally way cheaper than one for DDJ-RB because it's declared to be "for old mixer" (even though it's actually the same size / resistance #hackerman :))) )

pro tip guys, if you're having issues with volume faders for channel 1 or 2; grab a qtip and spray it with rubbing alcohol and just stick it in there to clean the faders. Chances are it's micro particles like dust or pet hair etc. Didn't have to do a complete removal and seems like an easier fix for this particular issue. Super helpful video though, thank you!

I have the same problem with my channel 2 volume fader. So all I have to do is get a qtip and rubbing alcohol only? And then stick the qtip in the fader?

You can also put a little wipe with Isopropyl alcohol with a toothpick inside the fader and move it up and down :)

What I like most about your video is, I don't see anything on here to scare me. I have a 'Line in' channel on my mixer that needs repairing through normal wear and tear (It's a VERY old DJ Mixer bought at the same time as my SL1200 mk3 decks) The sound is coming out of the channel no matter where the slider control is set so I assume it is a far bigger problem than you had, but at very worst I know I can take it apart and have a jolly good go at repairing it. Thanks for uploading this.

Man, thank you so much, you just help me saving 20$ for the new master volume. MV on deck 2 is work propertly again, but i have small problem that after cleaning MV on deck 2, it not smooth like MV on deck 1, i think im rub to hard lol. Keep it up
Tiến Dũng you can use a bit of oil on a qtip and lube the metal part (casing) of the fader (not the electronics) and that should fix your problem :)
Had the same problem on R/H deck fader, just oxidation on the contacts though, just sprayed with a little contact cleaner through a long straw & worked the fader bit. Good as new, thankfully no stripping down process to go through.
Ahh… that’s a short term solution (about up to 6 months) here in croatia people use that method when they want to sell the mixer :)))) )
@@MTS_IT 1st time it's happened since I got it over 2 years ago. No intention of selling got a gig to do at the end of month. Like I said No spillage, just Oxidation. In Yorkshire we also have a saying "If it isn't broken, don't fix it" lol Interesting video though.
managed to clean one and re solder back on no worries, second fader however is not responding and filter knob is now working as the fader control on reckordbox.. any tips or help is appreciated! great video regardless

Managed to fix my tempo fader on my ddj 200 thanks to this vid. It does not stop in the middle anymore and is not level but works for now. Can't find a replacement fader and not sure if I could use one from another model 😁👍

My DDJ400 tempos left slider is responding irregular only going from +4 to +6%, with +3% where suppose to be 0%... Any recommendation?

thank you for this video my 2nd channel fader broke 3week ago and i'm waiting on the faders to come in my mail today, however i don't know if i can fix it, my low pass/highpass filter right now controlls the 2nd channel fader and if i press in the 2nd fader it works. so i hope the replacement fader fixes it. havent opened the controller jet. will update on another comment when i did. have a nice day

Sorry, no - i would need to disassemble it. Try searching for some kind of protection diodes on input.

Hi, there are two options:
1. Search ebay for DDJ-RB replacement fader (1=10$)
or
2. you can actually buy: www.ebay.com/itm/5Pcs-Channel-Fader-for-Pioneer-DJM300-400-500-600-700-800-2000-DCV1010-10k/184248482315 (same fader bit it's cheaper because it's for old mixer - but same (literally))

Hi i have a problem with this model because my filter trim works as a left Chanel fader, but the fader won’t work, so I have to control the volume withe the filter stem, is there anything I can do? I tried to uninstall but it doesn’t work, I chceck on 2 laptops

i have a ddj sx2 that is shooting volume up and down i replaced volume faders and trims and the equipment is still behaving the same, can master volume result to that if is faulty?
Yup, however it can also be problem with ground.
@@MTS_IT can you do a little research for me please coz have used alot of money to bring back that equipment to normal state but until now i have issues with it,
and what about Front PCB Assy if is faulty can it affect audio output?

soldering iron and vacuum pump (for removing solder)

@@cameronduncan395 either that or wick. In theory you can only use soldering iron and pull the fader but chances of fucking something up increase exponentially
