It's so cool that you have things from your childhood that haven't been touched since you last played with them.We should all be so fortunate.Your dads yard is loaded with cool old stuff that's rarely seen anymore but you guys trip over it every day...I think it's really cool that you guys saved all that neat old stuff! It's probably more valuable than you realize...

Many thanks Silas, this has been a really enjoyable episode to watch. It was very interesting to hear those old memories of your early years working with your dad in that yard, my early years were spent in a similar way. You are so lucky to still be doing those things today with your father, both of my parents passed away when i was in my early twenties, I miss them both so much. Just be sure to enjoy and cherish the times you can still have together.. Please do more filming in this yard, I really find it fascinating to see what you have in there, and with your dad too. Just remember that one day these videos will become priceless memories for children and grandchildren.
    Take care and keep safe.
    David in the U.K.

We lived on a farm and my dad bought me a 53 Chevy belair that didn't run and had no grill or bumber for my friend and I to play in. Even tho it never left the yard except when dad pushed it with his 56 chevy wagon around the barn yard it went a lot of place's in our kid world. Dads fuel pump went out on the wagon and the one on the 53 fit. He paid 15 dollars for it in June of 66. Lots of memories there.

I had a Dodge Colt wagon like that red one at 13:36. Mine was green with fake wood grain. Had a Mitsubishi 4 cylinder and a three speed. I think it was a 74. I bought it for $175. That thing would go through snow pretty well with snow tires on it, but the heater was terrible ! It got hit in the passenger side when my friend was driving it. Sold it to a buddy of mine for cheap.

I enjoyed your reminiscing. The winch truck had a wheel cover on the deck, and it looked like the wheel covers I had on my '84 Chevy Citation. It was ironic that I found one of those wheel covers today in the garage, and gave it to a neighbor for the "man cave" he is making in a small garage. This was 5 hours before viewing your video.

Great video Silas. When I was in my Uncle Billy;s yard I knew every car and truck in there. There was stuff going back to the thirties. We ran the excavator over them. Just another load of scrap back then. Nice to see some old cars in your yards and that you do save a lot too. All the best from Jack in England.

@13:30 ,21 years ago in Southern California I came across a mint condition 1976 Dodge Colt (Mitsubishi) coupe in red & white color scheme paint with super low mileage on it & all original ,some Asian American home owner wanted me & my friend Vincent to junk it along with a aluminum camper that their incarcerated druggie tenant owned.......hell no it didn't go to the crusher ,only the trailer did ,I ended up taking it back to our dealership yard & got the legal ownership thru the landlord & for the towing debt & promptly sold it to another friend who is a large car exporter to Japan ....yes this cute little coupe went home to Japan as it's rare to find the Dodge version over there, got good money for it too ,let's just say it was well worth it ! He bought several 60's thru 80's GM vehicles from me was well as VW vans, beetles ,bugs & Corrados ,he told me that Colt went to a high end collection over there,I am glad that little car lived on to see another day ,hopefully I will see it again if I get back over to Japan in the future

I spotted at least 3 early sedans, the red coupe is a first year 1960 Monza coupe!! The wagon appears to be a 1962 700. Corvair 95 Corvan is awesome! Excited to see if you have more Corvairs there! Would love to see the vin and data plate on the Corvair 95 van, so we can add it to the Corvair 95 registry! What a great video! Also spotted a white 77-92 Cadillac under that Caprice! Definitely would like to see more gems there!

Here in Ohio there are used car dealerships, in Auto Trader mags, that specialize in low mileage, rust free southern and western vehicles, brought in by the semi load. Too bad you couldn't pair up with 1 or 2 to unload potential rat rods, especially those old trucks, by the semi load.
