Lovin that Honda 450 and 250 as well !!!! Freezing weather LOL right now northern MN we have 25 mph wind , snow , and - 11 degrees - even colder tonight - we have brrrrrrrrrrrrr and no braaaaaap !!!! I was all set up to get the Triumph 250 the day before christmas eve and the dealership decided to be closed - rrrrr it really is the only day this month I could get free from wk etc and they are closed LOL 😂 would not be tooo bad but they are 150 miles away and just tough to get there for me - well as they say back to the drawing board !!!! So glad you are still riding and doing video's for us - helping me at least to get through these non riding months !!!
Sounds like a very clean running 450. Clean smooth maps coupled with less enging breaking than a KTM sound like a very interesting power to chassis character.
Seems like a great bike. As a vet rider do you feel that the 450 makes much sense over the 250? Also this track seems like a training dream for the average guy, love tracks like that.
Yes my buddy Daniel's grass track is a fun and safe place to ride. 350's are my favorite combination of Power/Weight/Handling in a 4-stroke dirt bike. I enjoy 450's because they are the flagships of OEM dirt bikes. So much engineering development work has been focused on 450's these bikes are fast and powerful yet with linear and smooth power that helps make them easier to ride.
@@mxengineer1 As an average vet guy (6'3 160lbs) riding motocross tracks and occasional racing, I've thought about a detuned 450 vs 350f but wondering how it feels on the track. I'm on a 250f now but thinking that I want a little more/longer power in my next bike. I do like the quick handling feel of the 250f. Any comments on how a detuned 450f vs 350f feels on the track handling wise and power delivery? I should add east coast guy riding mostly soft dirt, loam, sand, and mud.
@@JimG1964 There is a line of reasoning that a 450F can be full power or dialing it back with a tuner to 350F power is like having (2) bikes in one. Dialing back the power on a 450F will not reduce engine inertia feel so the 450F will always have a heavier feel in motion compared to an actual 350. I tend to ride dialed back power on my 450F's when I get back to riding outdoors in the spring - just helps me get used to the power. However the 350 always feels good. Austrian 350's are my favorite combination of Power/Weight/Handling in a 4-stroke dirt bike.
The press guys rode the bike late last week. There is an embargo for them till this Wednesday. I am an actual customer who bought the bike so I can share my ride experiences now!
All the full on moto bikes are going to be tall for a 5'3" rider. Having said that and sitting and riding most of the latest moto bikes perhaps the YZ250/450F's are the tallest feeling bikes while the Husky 250/300/350/450 moto bikes have the lowest seat height. I finds the latest CRF250/450r's to be middle of the road...not as low as the Husky models but lower than the YZ250/450F. The latest minimalist Honda plastic (small radiator shrouds) do help give the 25 CRF's a little smaller "feel" overall. Any of these bikes can be adjusted (sag) to be lower and suspension mods and lowering links can also help.
@mxengineer1 Thanks for the feedback. I've recently bought a 24 FC 350 and waiting to pick it up next year. I used to have a 24 CRF 250 RX and always felt it was way to high. I did enjoy the power and stability of it. I am always curious to know which bike is lower from factory before making any changes.

I just bought the '25 450RX. Amazing machine. Honda truly nailed it with the '25s.
Yes Honda really dialed in the 2025 CRF450R/RX models - really good bikes this year!
New bike day are the best 🎯 four banger wheelies - all day long 🏆
Yes nothing like picking up a new motorcycle on a Saturday morning! 5th gear wheelies are fun too!

Maybe it is a sign you are not supposed to get the Triumph TF250X!🤣 Stay warm and glad you enjoy the channel!

The smoothness and overall refined feel of the 2025 CRF450R engine really stands out when riding the bike.
Nice video showing the different values.......watching you makes me want to go riding but it's snowing right now up here in Maine
Get some studded tires for the XR200!
The new bikes all seem amazing. Just pick your favorite color (and dealer)and you can't go wrong
Yes! So many really good dirt bikes available today and the special edition models add a little extra appeal.
I don’t think the weather is going to slow you down!!!
That is what electric heated gloves are for!
Wow how did you get this thing already?? I've been bugging my local dealer and he sees nothing in the shipping portal from Honda.
Honda Marysville Motorsports is a top level Honda dealer and they seem to get bikes a week or two sooner than other dealers.

How high do the 250 and 450 Works editions sit? Would it be comfortable to stand and sit on for a someone who is 5'3"?
