Love this video, of course! Popping in to comment on the “stick to drawing what you love without focusing on trying to please everyone” bit of the discussion. No truer words! I love drawing thicc boy pinups but keep telling myself I need to do fan art. My socials followers definitely know when my heart wasn’t in a piece. When I release the work I really enjoyed doing and that speaks to my loves and aesthetic, the art gets noticed that much more.
I drew what I would look like in the Puppettes during this video, something I sorta already planned on doing- but it’s definitely not what I planned to do during this video lol I really like how it came out! I drew her in abase outfit, then some of the outfits I already own! This video was definitely very inspirational and fun to draw with
I loved this talk, your voice is very pleasant to listen to, you sound like you could easily be a voice actor 😊. It was fun to draw with you! I am someone who used to draw nonstop growing up and over the past few years has just lost all spark for creating, crafting, anything 😬 . I’m a computer animator so I think all my energy goes there. But I would love to draw more, and your work truly reminds me of things that I love and inspires me to get excited again about art~
Great format! I hope you'll make more of these talk/podcast videos. It's great to watch while working, you've got so much to say and I feel much more at ease now. Rather than artist's block, I'm kinda stuck on improving my portfolio and looking for a job, so I appreciate your input. Keep on doing amazing art!
I love you as an artist SO MUCH! A lot of things that you said in this video resonate with me so much in this moment! I just realized that is better I do the things on my own pace and have an end result that I really enjoy, than do things for the social media, specially because I don't have a lot of followers and every time I saw my art "flop" it made me more discouraged to finish the projects that I started! But right now I am trying to draw more for myself, and trying to achieve an art style that I like! YOU ARE AMAZING!!!
Oh I love this concept! I’m currently working on some foam heads and doodling to understand how to make Shrek chibi. Definitely going to keep this video in an inspiration playlist.
Exciting! My art is having an "ugly phase" right now and I need something to kickstart improvement. i love how u use a wacom tablet as ur monitor heheh i really enjoyed this video! i am completely obsessed w drawing cute boys w obnoxious hairstyles and i'm often insecure about not branching out more because that's literally all i ever draw, so hearing you encourage it was nice. people often try to convince artists to branch out and leave their comfort zone, which in itself is good, right? but feeling the pressure to do something different, thus not doing what i actually like, discourages me from drawing at all often. i just like drawing boys
I think it’s good and necessary to push yourself out of your comfort zone, but i think there is a time for studying and learning, and a time for just enjoyment!

I love this idea of videos! I need to rewatch and draw along. I just saw to take notes on what I could do and find references lol

@@SavannahAlexandraArt i agree!
beautiful works i will use this in my own works great talk
I know your Puppettes inspired me to redraw one of my own dog characters that I've had a nightmare to 'see'.
God i needed this 😆😊
Also, do you prefer to do light shading or more heavy, detailed shading for the puppettes? Or does it really depend?
Usually I tend to not do a lot of shading on them, I prefer a flatter/light shading look because it tends to feel more commercial vintage
@@SavannahAlexandraArt ah! Thank you!
🎉Happy St.Patrick's day Savannah!🍀🍀🍡🍡
