Nice big bodies on them. I haven't had any babies with my Mollies in a while ,need some fresh genetics. . Going to the fish farm on Wensday hopefully they have some females. Charles I used Potassium Permanganate and that stuff is amazing for external parasites. It's saved my butt. I'm sure you know all about it. Cleared up everything,it's meant for larger ponds ,but works fine in smaller amounts. Nice fish.
@@EddyOrtiz-579 Since amphibians and reptiles can enter the greenhouses, we prophylactically treat the systems with praziquantel (in food), formaldehyde/malachite green, and solar salt (2-3 ppt) every few months. We also have Texas A&M test our fish and advise us on treatments. Charles
Always wondering if... If adding enough plants and trees could have absorbed a large amount of ammonia, when the death toll was high.. Or any other standby for such an emergency. Blessings, Sir Charles!! I DID find Scuds on Maui. But, never searched out the Brackish ones.. Love your shop and tunnels.. And dog.. 😊❤
The problem during the Texas Winter Storm was the amount of dead fish combined with low temperatures that slowed plant growth. Once we were able to clear the dead fish, the ammonia declined rapidly. Our systems have lots of places for dead fish to go undetected. If you look back at some of our earliest videos, you'll see the massive losses of fish. Charles
It is a darker blue (which doesn't show up well on camera) than the blue of Liberty Mollies. I may outcross some to Liberty Mollies to see what happens to the blue. Unfortunately, it takes a few generations after such a cross to restore the males' dorsals to sailfin status. Charles
Were you the one producing the albino sunset sailfin and albino harlequin sailfin mollies. I'm just curious cause I haven't seen them on the market since around the time you lost most of your mollies.
@goliadfarms7029 ahh well that was a strange coincidence then. Also how did you handle the recent winter storms I hope everything was ok in the greenhouses.
@goliadfarms7029 that's good to hear. It is better to pay for propain than the alternative. I hope everything continues going well for you. Also, I messed up one of the names earlier it was a gold harlequin sailfin, not albino harlequin.
good work Charles, hopefully you get them back on track very soon 👍
Thank you. We are working on it.

Thank you Charles. Love the livebearers! Hope y'all are weathering the weather.
We survived this last cold spell. Looking forward to more warm weather.

I LOVE your Mollies. They're so chunky and huge! I am definitely looking forward to adding these to their own tank next to my platinum Molly tank!
We hope to start offering mollies soon.
Charles
Love the sailfins - look forward to seeing more varieties for sale in time
We hope this is the year we can begin offering more mollies.
Charles
It is always amazing to me how nature turns on and off breeding cycles due to external factors.
It's our job to determine what those factors are and arrange a fix.
Charles
Such a great video. The fish are so interesting with their breeding cycles.
The fish keep educating us when we are receptive.
Charles
Slow but sure recovery!
A lot slower than I like, but while Susie says I'm impatient, I keep on going.
Charles
Nice
Thank you.

Those are cool!
Thank you,

Awesome fish
Thank you,
Charles
Wow! They are beautiful.🤗
Thank you,

Love how robust these mollies look, just curious if this is the same type blue that you’d see on a Liberty Molly?

@ I have 20fry (liberties crossed with Silver sailfin) just to see what I’d get. Will continue following your rebuild 💙
@@MrFarmboy151 Keep posted on your progress with that cross. I suspect you won't have any sailfins in the F1 generation.

No, that wasn't us, but those would be interesting strains to add.
Charles

@ So far, no problems except having to buy extra propane for heating.

You should get into the saltwater molly business. They're very desirable herbivores and are super cheap/pretty.
Most mollies, especially the sailfins, will adapt to marine conditions.
Charles
I wonder why it is called blue marbled. Because it is black and white speckled! Blue sheen is barely seen! Nice size fish though!
Unfortunately, the blue doesn't show up well on our camera.
Charles
He calls them Blue because that’s what he is trying to bring out is the blue. Prior to the storm the strain had much more blue in it.
@ I hear you. Please protect your strains as much as possible
@ I would have loved to see those pics. Blue mollies look awesome indeed. They are more sought after.
@@chriscasey7113 Very true. Also complicated by the camera not picking up blue very well.
Charles
hehe fish
Thank you for watching.
