Still absolutely beautiful. I remember seeing one in Florida in 2005/6 sometime at the comp there. And it looked amazing. :)

Amazing wing!! And awesome explanation in your video. I am curious about the cost of such a beauty....I have been flying flex wings for the past 30 years and have always dreamt for a riggid wing....money is my issue....now I am 56 and feeling a little weak... I hope God allows me to keep on flying....blessings from Valle de Bravo Mexico

It's hard to say how much money we was spent for this. In 2000 when we started our investment for the prototype was 32.000 German Mark. Ist about 16000 Euro and about 16000 us dollar's. We built 8 examples. Each one had cost of about 7000 Euro without working afford. It was a private non commercial project. So the working time didn't count. 😊 By the way, I am 61 now, and I am flying hang glider since 1986. And I am glad to be i a good shape to go on for many years. Have a look at this link also. photos.app.goo.gl/u1VgFLCiaDJin6766

    How long time it takes?

Why isn't this glider still produced? Are the vertical tips required to prevent excess yaw?. Anything unusual flying one? differences to a flex wing.?

It was a private non commercial project.
The winglets are required to get an handling likes a real plane.
Tail less wings flies much better with winglets on it.
The impact ist steared by ailerons. Not spoilers,
That makes a direct defined precise handling .
It feels like an Hang glider not likes an ATOS.

Thankyou for your reply. Do you have any video on construction of the d tube leading edges. Would like to see that process. Thanks.

Think about the multiple meanings of the word IMPACT

    under perfect conditions:
    flat setup site
    no wind
i need about 35 minutes for setup.

    No adverse yaw?

In flight there is no adverse jaw to feel. The wing precisely follows to the ailerons. It feels very defined. Much more spontaneous likes the spoiler controlled ATOS.

Anyone else think it odd to name a glider, Impact, as in impacting the ground?

It's only a projection of your fear....

    Absolutely beautiful, stunning looking glider.
Te only slight objection what I would say is the name : IMPACT. What were you thinking ???? Did you ever consult somebody who knows anything about PR or marketing ??? Unfortunately, just because of the name you will lose many potential customers.
I sincerely hope that I am wrong , and wish you very best for the future.
