Ciao, mi chiamo Davide Martinelli sono un deltaplanista volevo ringraziarti e farti i complimenti per il video pubblicato su TH-cam. Ieri sera guardano dei video sul volo ho notato che c’ero anch’io nel video. Ciao.
I totally agree with you. Seems easy to top land there too! We don’t have any mountain sites here in VA which let us do that but still great sites nonetheless!
Mate grab yourself a Malibu 188 floater and you will have the best learning experience. I have only got 50 hours so far but all in the last 3 months and have already bought an Aeros ant nanolight with a fast wing and a slow wing. Also have the Malibu 188 and a Moyes 156 shark , mate it’s addictive. Hardest thing about it is to know your weather. Here’s a tip drive your car with your hands at the 5 o’clock and 7 o’clock and it gets you used to the motion of turning left and right because that’s how the glider works , it’s opposite. Let us know how you go😎👍🇦🇺
I find it a bit odd that no one uses the down bars for landing, when everyone uses them for take-off!?! Are all these pilots novices? Finally, at 14:06 I see a pilot use his down bar for landing and he had the smoothest landing yet. No fighting the control bar in a headwind, as you're able to control pitch an yaw much better. This also helps to lose altitude by pumping your wing via the down bar, so you don't over-shoot your landing in tight spots like this site. Happy flying one and all. Stat high! lol
@@markprange4386 One more comment: Did you notice how many pilots were falling on their faces (or nearly) after touch down? That's because they weren't using the down bar to help control the kite, they were pushing out on the horizontal control bar until they fell on their faces. That's not an experienced pilot maneuver. Been flying hang gliders since '77 w/ just a few hours flight time logged along the way, flying at sites across the continent, including Maui - my favorite flight, as I got to look down into a volcanoic crater. Happy flying, if you fly.
Some of these pilots have terrible handling techniques. As a former instructor I am suggesting go back to the training hills & practice your ground handling, take offs & landings. Just keep doing them. Don’t be so eager to get both hands on the base bar & zipped up in prone. Fly the aircraft. It’s the take offs & landings that will kill you. Practice, practice, practice.
This is a masterpiece of filming ... outstandingly done witn great background music ...
Wow ! There's an art to filming
A totally wonderful video. I want to go there and fly! I just returned to the sport after 15 years.
15 years, I have met so many pilots in our club who similarly stopped and are returning after years. Most are now in early 60s. Welcome back.

Ps make sure your palms are facing down when you hold the wheel , like your holding the cross bar on the glider👍
I’m stoked to get this going. Thanks for the heads up! This is a boost to get out there.
Lots of no-top landings until 2:40 then 2 top landings and a top crash. I only listened 'cause I like M83's 'Wait'.
Great video editing.
Is this God who has created this unexeptional Wind tunnel only for us?
Thanks for that, I must fly there next time!
I always dream of flying freely like a bird, even when I'm awake...
Is this filmed by a person who is dead ? Are this the first images of Paradise ?
Does the guy at 4:35 hang up his wing at 4:55 after he biffs it and knocks himself out so hard his grandchildren feel it?

They have enough headwind at touchdown that they don't need to flare.
@@markprange4386 You have obviously never flown a hang glider.
@@v.e.7236: Their groundspeed is slow enough when they touch down.
