I loved your reaction! It was so unfair of people commenting on she supposedly being a bad mom, because of how this song could affect her kids 🙄 Oh come on! Those same people never complained about her kids watching his dad's new girlfriend sunbathing from the window while her mom was brokenhearted. I'm glad she found the strength to leave him and to release this song, for herself and for all of us to enjoy. I think too that Piqué is a narcissist and she could've go harder on him, she is being nice, she is Shakira!
People said that about her?! That never crossed my mind and I’m always thinking about how what I say may effect my kid. That’s so horrible and unfair. She is free to speak her truth. What about the example he’s setting for his boys?! This just infuriated me!!!!
I agree with you, he did all this and now they are blaming her for speaking up. She needed to express her side and she has done it through the last three songs that she had released recently.

As a native spanish speaker, i gotta say a lot of the dissing is lost on the translation. Props for getting the Clara-mente reference!!
Though you did miss this one and I wanna point it out so you can enjoy it as much as the rest of us: when she says "sorry if it splashes on you" (perdón que te sal-Piqué) she actually is calling him out by name, too. Her ex husband's name is Gerard Piqué.

I'm brazilian [so I speak portuguese], and i have been studying spanish since i first got into college [in 2019], and uh boy, when I heard "Yo solo hago música, perdón que te salpique" I SCREAMED!!! Because of the joke with Pique's name ond the end of a sentence that literally means that she just does music, and it's not her fault that this splashes on him, seriously this woman is a genius
