A woodland. My gosh, now you’re moving back into the 80’s. Good stuff. Mexico made a similar jacket in woodland as well, but it’s not as common. Love the video. Huge fan of all your interests. Keep up the great work.
I only pick up army style coats or jackets at value village , I have an OD Green , darker green , jacket with a light two-tone camo with hood $21 , I don't particularly need to go and buy this jacket or spend $ 300
I own a OG 107 M65 from 1978. It's so new extra thread is coming out and it came with liner and the hood. I'm putting some patches on it to make it my own but I'm familiar with the jacket in general. They're tough and long lasting.
@@Jr.carillo Hi I don't but I have them for sale on ebay and I know they can. use this link to one of mine and you can see what others I have on there. www.ebay.com/itm/266685466322
You mention that the medium regular fits you as a 42 chest. Is that a fit without the winter liner? Do you still have room for the liner in a medium? I’m also a 42 regular but I was thinking large because I wanted to use the liner or layer with a heavy sweater or puffy jacket underneath. Thoughts?
I’d still go with the medium. Unless you like a looser fitting jacket. If you’re stuffing a puffy jacket under it then maybe go large. These are bigger than a store bought jacket to begin with. I can wear a small but it’s more fitting.
Have an original Woodland M65. Favourite coat until I got my Irish Army Smock/coat. And that was the hardest piece of camo to find ever and I'm in Ireland. The American woodland is a good pattern but that very light colour in the camouflage for Northern Europe stands out too much. But saying that still great coat and know it will outlast me.
My daughter wants to get me a jacket for my Christmas I like the M65 but I don't know if I be better off with a parker jacket I'm not sure if she be happy if I wanted one from army surplus store she might think it second hand jacket
HI, I'm not familiar with a Parker jacket. Army Surplus stores are few and far between now days. There are a lot of reproduction M65 jackets out there, but I don't have any issues with second hand. For me a true issued jacket is better than a reproduction.
None of the woodland camo M-65 field jackets have woodland lining it's always solid OD green. The OG-107 is nice in my opinion because it's more versatile and looks better when faded. I love woodland camo but it doesn't look good when faded.
@@derekdoeschannel Sorry, but I don't know that much. It seems that there are other unnamed zipper manufacturers as well. www.mash-japan.co.jp/prd-image/91-50-2019-3.jpg

Thanks, it's totally 80's (pun intended). I'll have to look up the Mexican one, as I've never seen it.
Seriously cool looking Camo

Good pick ups. This jacket woodland m65 isn’t $300.
I have an OG-107 with a nylon zipper. Sew Sew Styles. 1987 I think.
I love mine from 1987 in OG-107. It's old meets new, the best of both worlds.

Hi, really nice video, do you ship outside of the us?
Hi, I don't through DerekDoes, but I can put them on Ebay and they offer an international shipping option I believe.

Good jackets
That they are!
My woodland has an Ideal zipper.
AWESOME VIDEO!
Thanks!
I prefer to patch the woodland and took off the patches on the OG-107, Once again I prefer the M-65 with a liner in it.

@@derekdoeschannel I live in Scotland near Glasgow thare is a large warehouse that has army surplus clothing in Glasgow
@@alexblue6991 Fantastic. Do they carry US stuff? There might be copies of the jacket from other countries also that they would have.

Thanks. Yes, the Green looks amazing faded.
Good jacket.
Thanks!
my 1983 woodland camo m65 fits juuust a bit bigger than my 1974 olive drab m65, same size
Might be one was washed and shrunk, or the Army asked for "vanity sizing" in the 10 years or one manufacturer just made them bigger than the other.
Only an issue jacket cuts it Derek.
Agreed, at least till the originals run out.
@@derekdoeschannel Just don't buy a Rothco.
@@spitfireaaceYes Rothco are absolutely awful, as are ALL their products!
Dang i have a m65 woodland camo from by dad

The zipper may be made by SERVAL.

SCOVILL.
Hello, what is your height and weight❤
Hi. I'm 5'10" and 155
It’s YKK zipper. Not YYK
There's nothing wrong with a good Nylon zipper.
There isn't, but I like the metal ones as a personal preference.
@@derekdoeschannel I have a woodland with Ideal zipper.
