    Great video I also learned when setting each day to come on, if you go pass the days a 1 comes up meaning you can select 1 it will come on everyday if you select 2 it is every other day and so forth . So you don't have to select each day individually .

    I just bought two of those four-zone Melnor water timers-one for the front yard and one for the back. Brilliant!

    I have two Melnor 4 port timers. Very user friendly. Great functionality. We'll see how they hold up. Be careful with the timer fitting that attaches to your house. It's not very strong. I bumped it with my mower and the white plastic ring inside that fitting neck cracked and water immediately started spraying out of the crack. This is not fixable.

    Brah, question, probably a very dumb question at that, but........... just making sure...... in order for the Melnor auto timer to work and come on as scheduled/programmed, the spigot that the timer is connected to, has to be turned on all the way , correct ? Have you ever had any issue with the spigot leaking since it is always on the 'ON' position ?? Thanks! Enjoy the channel!!! you're hilarious and just REAL , I appreciate that!

    • @YardBrah
      @YardBrah  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      No that’s a good question yes the water has to be all the way on! I use plumbers tape and a wrench to tighten down the timer so nothing is leaking… Melnor has pretty good pressure control so just like a normal hose not on it holds the water in place until it’s ready to go 😊🤙🏾🙌🏾🙏🏾

    How can you set up for rain water from barrels

    • @YardBrah
      @YardBrah  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      So the only thing I could think of is using some kind of water pump to place into the barrel then using a system of placing the timer in front of the water pump. Or just using something like
      This worx hydro shot amzn.to/3FMCkde
      check out this water pump too amzn.to/3THS2fA
      I have to dive into this because it is legal to collect rain in my state! Good luck! 😊🤙🏾🙏🏾🔥

    Can this be programmed for two different pipes. For example one for showers and one for drip on soil.

    • @gh3g3dus

      I'm using 3 ports for sprinklers and am trying the fourth for a drip feed for trees.

  • @MightyHex
    @MightyHex ปีที่แล้ว +1

    How many sprinklers do you have running for one zone?

    • @YardBrah
      @YardBrah  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Now I have one sprinkler head per zone so I get the full pressure from the water … using two heads on one zone really limits the distance of spray 😊🤙🏾

  • @ScottMcNorton
    @ScottMcNorton 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Is it possible to set pressure at each outlet, zone 1 at 100% and say zone 2 at 50% and zone 4 at 10% or are all set at what ever pressure you have coming in the timer?

    • @YardBrah
      @YardBrah  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I’m sure if you have some kind of pressure regulator nozzle fitting but as for the timer I have not seen this feature I could be mistaken but I don’t see that option 😊🤙🏾🙌🏾🙏🏾

  • @troyhenry3267
    @troyhenry3267 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    how often do you have to change out the batteries ??? when you do, does this erase/wipe out all of your programmed times for each zone??

    • @YardBrah
      @YardBrah  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I always change the batteries once a year so when I get out there to turn on sprinklers it’s battery change time… it does not wipe your settings very nice timer! 😊🤙🏾🙌🏾🙏🏾

      @BRISTOLFORCE2009 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      The batteries were full battery (March 2022 - September 2022) though I changed the timer yesterday because I had 3 issues
      -I had to set each zone’s start time individually to go consecutively
      -I couldn’t water every other day
      -when watering manually and setting more than one zone they run simultaneously rather than consecutively

    • @BRISTOLFORCE2009

      I now have a 4 station orbit timer which fixes my 3 problems, yes if you have the same opinions then I don’t recommend getting this product

    I bought one of these and it worked fine for a few months but now it randomly doesn't work at all during scheduled waterings. It looks like it should be working but it doesn't open the valve.

    • @YardBrah
      @YardBrah  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Try this... push manual and set it for 2 minutes... then after its done it should go back to its regular schedule! This happened to me as well that little trick fixed it! Also check the batteries if they are low the valve doesn't open up for sure. Hope this helps!

    • @YardBrah
      @YardBrah  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @Jdns Jsjd haha dang that would be crazy!... my neighbors are cool though I think they would do something if the sprinklers were on 24-7 haha!

    Get the Mini Melnor sprinkler and you won't be spraying thru the fence. It's amazing

    Do you have any leaking issues with your Melnor? Mine seems to leak in between watering

    • @YardBrah
      @YardBrah  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Not at all before I switched to B-Hive Melnor was working perfectly! I tightened the timer with a wrench to the faucet and never leaked, also never leaked from the zones either... you might want to exchange the one you have could just be the unit 😊🤙🏾

    My issues with timers is that they don't allow me to water every 2-3 hours when I've over seeded and days get warm. My current timer only allows me to water every 6 hours per zone (outlet). How often does this timer allow me to water?

  • @Sneakerz4me
    @Sneakerz4me 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Which sprinklers do you use?

    • @YardBrah
      @YardBrah  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I have to get the brand but it's just the simple $15-20 hardware store type heads. I also just use simple hoses but the longer hoses I got from amazon and they are made of metal! My very first video has the sprinkler in there check it out! Thanks for watching!

    • @YardBrah
      @YardBrah  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Still holding up! Melnor is in the back doing amazing as usual and I have the new b-hive upfront. I do bring them in for winter but other than that just change the batteries once a season and it’s good to go!

    What about water restriction feature where I dont want it to water at night? I only want it to water 3 mins every hour but only in the day time and not night time? Wassup with these timer with no end time?

    • @YardBrah
      @YardBrah  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      so you can do up to 4 cycles of 3 min per zone. Only 4 unfortunately I think you are looking for something like a 8-12 cycle which this doesn't do

    • @Ryan-eh5pk

      I'm actually curious about the same thing. My water pressure cut in half with the splitter.

    • @YardBrah
      @YardBrah  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      So I run multiple hoses so each sprinkler head has its own timed nozzle.... so if you are splitting a set of two and the pressure goes down you need to set each nozzle separately... can be inconvenient but you won't notice cause it's timed anyway lol thanks for watching!!!!

    • @JavierHernandez-kg9du
      @JavierHernandez-kg9du 3 ปีที่แล้ว
