You should definitely do "midra, lord of frenzied flame"
Its one of the most evil sounding themes they have ever made.
It's such a bloodborne sounding track I love it
The fact that it has a lemotif referencing the buried merchants is also insane
@@RunnerUpPhos a lot of the dlc bosses have references to other related bosses/themes. Messmer has from radagon, saint of the bud from malenia, rellana from rennala.
dude i walked through the final fog door, saw radahn standing in the gateway, heard his theme slowly building up, he does the gravity sword thingy from the original Elden Ring trailer, i was just soooo hyped
He doesnt do anything in the original trailer that was the story trailer you're thinking of
Not a fan of the whole radahn thing, but fromsoft always delivers on the execution man, it's still so cool

The first half of The Promised Consort is a remixed version of Starscourge Radahn's original theme. In his original boss fight he was just a shell of his former self, his mind and body taken by the Scarlet Rot, but in the Promised Consort fight he is in his prime.
This isn't his prime either. It's not even the real him. It's just his soul in Mohg's body which is being controlled by Miquella.

Divine beast dancing lion theme is make sense as it intended to be looped in the fight as the boss have its gimmick related to its theme
"Those United in Common Cause" and "The Saint of the Bud" are the two best tracks in this DLC IMO

It surprised me how good the ost of the dlc was in general. Best ost since bloodborne imo. Divine beast, messmer, midra, bayle, romina, final boss, the npc fight are all amazing tracks.
@@bigsmall2842 even some of the lesser tracks like Scadutree avatar have some evocative charm to them, with the unique variations in how Tomisawa incorporates string. Not to mention them giving a god-tier ost to one of the weakest mini bosses in the game (Elder Justiciar, at the beginning of the Abyssal Woods)😭

"Midra, Lord of Frenzied Flame" and "Those United In Common Cause" are fantastic OST's. Also "Bayle the Dread" is most evil OST in dragon form.
Bayles theme is great, but Manus' theme is still easily the most evil sounding. Bayles is a theme that paints a picture of an epic battle, but Manus' theme is almost cartoonishly evil sounding.

"Dance and covort. Wipe away the strumpets vile progeny". Everything about the Dancing Devine Beast makes me happy. The music feels like a combination of celebration, the Divine and chaos.
It really does sound like a divine ritual dance repurposed for war - which is what the Divine Beast Dancing Lion IS
Yeah, in the second part of the Promised Consort fight the boss literally tells you to move aside and let them do they're thing. They don't want to fight.
Please do The Saint of the Bud next.
The Saint of the Bud is one of my favorite of the DLC, it's hard to pick one that I don't like !

Bayle the Dread, Lord of Frenzied Flame, Putrescent Knight, and the Scadutree Avatar are for me the best OSTs in the game bar none. I never get tired of listening to them.
Spot on for the 2nd phase of Promised Consort, but with a twist. While it may sound safe, it's more dangerous than phase 1. The false sense of hope is part of the lore behind the boss, as "innocence" and "kindness" is his charm/power.

The Divine Beast analysis is spot on.
Basically the Divine Beast was a celebration of the divine. It was essentially a dance of all elements, with storm as its pinnacle. It was so revered that the performance itself was seen as divinity. But when Messmer’s soldiers attacked Belurat, this same “divinity” was turned into a war machine to defend against them.
Fun fact the boss changes elements in cue with the music. It is literally dancing with you.
The second phase of the Consort OST doesn't sound as threatening because the boss is already threatening enough
Fun fact about this OST. The boss is a Dancing lion doing a performance. The tone and keys keep changing like a tug of war between the player and the boss, Rising to represent the player triumphing, and getting lower/darker instilling a sense of dread into the player as the boss keeps getting more and more aggressive.
Truly a masterpiece and my absolute favorite boss fight in the entire game.
It's one of the few tracks that feels like a live performance - like someone's actively singing to follow the fight.
I think you pretty much nailed describing the boss fight theme without knowing anything about the visuals.

You were pretty spot on with The Promised Consort. In the story, the boss isn't really evil at all. It is a case where they and you are trying to forge a better world (maybe not in the case of the possible player choices) and only 1 side can bring their world into reality. The whole encounter screams "Unfortunate Circumstance". And as such, it ends in stark silence.
I mean, it's also a great commentary on stuff like "The path to hell is paved with good intentions" and "the ends justify the means" - Miquella's methods were dubious before, as the love people hold for him is literally enforced by a magical charm, but he still does genuinely love everyone back; in a detached sort of way typical for someone who never really had to work to gain pure and unquestioning affection. But after discarding everything - his flesh, his lineage, his very fate and even his _love,_ he becomes a monster... in just the way that makes you still feel sympathetic. That charm of his was part of his curse of eternal youth, and some theorize said youth also applied in mental faculties; all he really wanted to do was "make everyone get along" - and if they don't _want_ to? Well, that's what the charm is for - so his ultimate goal becomes to brainwash the whole world, to enforce a "thousand year voyage, guided by compassion." Conversely, a very childish way to copy _Ranni's_ line a little, huh?

Bayle The Dread's OST is fantastic. It had a very pirate-like Ahab vs Moby Dick vibe to it
The second phase sounds weird for a bossfight but it hits hard when you are fighting him
22:00 you see right through it man. the boss the god doesnt want to kill the player, he wants to work together with the player but we are not letting them. and the game the dlc at least is not about us its about Miquella the kind so is the theme
