I’d like to add that I haven’t personally had any issues with the three Hypr controllers I own, 1 of which has potentiometer modules and I’ve owned for over two years. Just because I have gotten out unscathed three times, and there are several satisfied hypr customers, does not make me comfortable recommending them for purchase at this time due to the overall state of customer support and quality control.
I’ sent my controller back to HYPR last Friday and have the proof it arrived. They were very helpful and their emails to me were pretty good . Since they now have the controller; I’ve heard zero. It’s only a week since they received it so I guess we will see.
I’m sorry to hear that it’s a bit of a shit show for all the girls n boys here ; I’ll keep you informed how my case goes.

Just wanted to say, I bought from HYPR after gamer heavens first positive video he posted. My controller broke within the first week, I issued a full refund, I was told to issue a charge back with my card holder because their Shopify doesn’t work and that hypr would fully cooperate with my refund. It has now been over 3 months and I haven’t gotten my refund, and even more they told my card holder that they don’t agree with the charge back. So I have no controller and out $240, insane company. They even lied and said when they reached out about the charge back that I didn’t respond, which was a total lie. Luckily I have proof, so I hope I get my money. Stay away from this company forever.
I bought mine almost a year ago, first 6 months I had no issues at all. After this time the left analog stick (Hall effect) started having only 50% input on both axis. So I send an email asking about the issue and if they have a fix that they could tell me about. They obviously didn't and I had to RMA, this proces also took a solid 2 months before I was able to send it to them. Since then I haven't seen my controller, money or any other form of compensation back. I have been in contact with them and they also offer me the things you showed in the video. At this point I am just taking the L and moving on, but if you, or any other subscriber in the comments have any ideas just lmk!
same here I've had mine for over a year with hall effect analogs and mines perfect lol
I've been building controllers and customizing them out of my shop for a bit, using OEM controllers and soldering back buttons etc. I cannot for the life of me understand how these companies continue this behavior and expect clientele. Bad word of mouth spreads like wildfire. I do everything in my power to make sure it doesn't happen to my business, I would think they would want the same. Thanks as always GH for the great video and making sure you're actually on the consumer side. This why I continue to watch these videos

I was on the verge of getting a hype controller. I instead saw your review on an aim. Now I can confidently say I made one of the best choices avoiding Hypr.
I’ve had my aim controller for the past 2 and half months and didn’t have any single problem. Mine do not have hall sticks and it’s still very good for me

I’ve purchased my controller in November. When the controller finally arrived in March the left stick had stick drift. I’ve sent it in to be repaired/replaced. They still haven’t even returned the controller. But they’ve been misleading me telling me things like “you’re next in our queue” or “ the controller should be shipped in 3-5 business days” meanwhile it’s been 20 days since then. Throughout this whole process I’m the one reaching out for updates otherwise I’d be completely in the dark about what’s going on because they’ve never sent me an email updating me on the status of the controller.
TLDR stay far away from hypr controllers

Just went through a situation with them where the Hyperkin controller I ordered never shipped and for 2 weeks “it’s shipping tomorrow” when I called them and it still has not but just today they said I should finally see a refund. I hope you get your money back asap!!
im glad it wasnt just me, 2-3 months ago i ordered a ready to ship controller from them. 1 and a half months in, it never shipped so i emailed them asking for a refund and had no follow up. another month and a half later, i had to email them again for an email, thank god they gave me a refund. but how are you just not gonna ship out my READY TO SHIP controller??

Well I ordered a oynx ready to ship on June 5 and got shipped today June 20 like it said it would u got to read it says 10-15 days to build then shipped the next day people just not patience
@@thetruth7089 You need to comprehend what 'ready to ship' means. In no scenario will it ever mean that the controller needs to be built like a custom order, 'ready to ship' quite literally means that it is already built and already packaged, hence the term _ready to ship,_ i.e. it's a standard product already within warehousing, just like any other product from any other company that you purchase from. All they need to do is print a shipping label and push it through logistics, the 10-15 day build time does not apply here. If they're including build time on 'ready to ship' items, this is blatant false advertising and yet another thing the company needs investigated for. Imagine ordering a standard off-the-shelf Xbox controller and having to wait the duration of the Design Lab lead time for no reason when you didn't order a Design Lab controller; the standard controller is 'ready to ship,' the Design Lab controller is a custom build, it's a direct analogy.
@@xaytana it’s not ready to ship it says pre configured but at the time it showed the date of when it was going to ship mines said it was going to ship in the time frame that it did but if you read the lead times it literally says 10-15 days from the time you order but they recently took it down on the pre configured ones but I’ll update when the controller arrives today 15 days not bad at all but he praises aim controllers and they suck and I heard they Hall effect sticks are horrible but he is bias because he was sponsored by them at the time
Just searched about hypr cuz I thought I might have been the only one that had these problems. I ordered mine on march 21st and it WAS on the “order ready” phase since now June 9th and then a few days ago went back to “quality testing” phase. I’ve also emailed them twice within 2 weeks and still haven’t gotten a reply, very disappointing.
After the last video I didn't think I could get much worse but clearly hypr said challenge accepted

With the price for these controllers, you would not only think but expected their customer service would be five stars. And not only to see them not honor the garbage warranty they should be ashamed of offering but going out of their way to avoid even responding, give me a break. @GamerHeavenOfficial fair enough. Some 3rd party controllers are great. To clarify I was between hypr and edge and didn't know about these issues (I wanted hall effect or replaceable sticks) ultimately I decided to go with the edge as I just had a feeling that first party support would be more consumer friendly if something went wrong.

It took them a full 1 month from the beginning to my hand
So far I really recommend buying from them excellent quality

On a side note , no controller issues. Magdock a portable display company. They have held my refund up for 2 months as of today. No tomorrow won't matter. Have a better day ✌️

I ordered a controller back in November of 2023 and i just received a few days ago. Its July. I went with the Stealth Ultra controller by TB during this time. I am taking back the Hypr controller for a refund now. And after watching this video that refund might be a pain in the ass to get too.
I once commented on my experience, i shipped the controller back months ago, they received the controller, but since then i have no updates of any kind, and the purchase was first made in november 2023, which is too far away to dispute the charge. Sooo in the end, no controller and $250 gone.

Yeah the one I bought had a DOA battery and they refused to reply to me and then told me my warranty was up.
I ordered a HYPR controller in January. It came with a faulty HE thumb stick. After eventually getting in touch with support, I returned it to be fixed. Still waiting 6 months later...
Great video, hope everything works out with Amazon. I've noticed that Amazon has went down hill a lot over the past couple of years. Three years ago I bought a 6950xt and got a woman's bathing suit instead (it wasn't my color) so I tried getting a refund which took almost 6 months. Hope yours is faster
I remember the situation with PS5’s at launch where drivers were swapping house appliances like sweet ass toasters and blenders and taking the consoles home for sex and gaming of course.
Yeah I ordered a hypr controller a while back, when I got it the remap chip for the back buttons didn't even work. Controller seemed fine outside of that so I ended up giving it to a buddy of mine who plays claw so it wasn't an issue for him.
I know this question is old, considering when the video was made about it it was a while ago, but is the Turtle Beach Xbox controller still bad connectivity wise? I'd love to know. Thanks for the future notice on the hyper controllers as well 😊
The stealth ultra works good if you’re using the dongle, just don’t plug it into the back of your console

You can plug the dongle in the front port, or connect the dongle/dock with a cable and set it closer to you, definitely helps
As someone having his first outreach into the pro controller world, I was very put off by the fact that this would've been a custom controller as an international order, as the Australian Consumer Law (which allows a refund for very much any given defect), won't work in such a case as HYPR. It was far too risky for my liking, and my choice of first pro controller being the Turtle Beach Stealth Ultra from local stock was a far superior choice to virtually all other options - not only from far better components, but also said Australian law would be effective as well.

Unfortunate this video had to be made, but thank you for making it. Thank you for being a strong, well respected voice for those HYPR customers who this point, haven’t been heard. Hopefully, the other companies who no doubt follow you, will take heed and do right by their customers.
I have a feeling HYPR is in a death spiral, due to lax quality control & poor customer service, resulting in terrible cash flow which is why nothing is being fixed. They have crossed the Event Horizon, there is no escape.
If any of the aforementioned companies read this: do things right the first time, you won’t have a problem. If there IS a problem, own it, and fix it.

it has now been 6 months, and I still don't have it.
My mother bought me a hypr controller for Christmas and i came 4 months late. after using it for 2 months the charging port doesn’t work, the “hall effect” thumbsticks go crazy every 2 minutes when i play wireless, after accidentally dropping it a foot off the ground, the bumper is loose, and the switchable thumbsticks come off even if i flip the controller upside down. i can’t use the refund because a kid doesn’t wanna spend $200 dollars to ship to hong kong.
HYPR was my first “Pro” controller and it feel apart in less than 3 months. I’m on the sweaty side and strictly play FPS for 1-3 hours a day so I’m pretty heavy on my thumb sticks. Tried an AIM controller and it also fell apart. Going on close to 9 months on the Dualsense Edge and there is no comparison for me. The pros(response time on PS5, build quality, replaceable thumbsticks and most importantly durability) considerable outweigh the cons(Asthetic, 2 paddles instead of 4).
this is all good and nice, but I need a review of what is the best most quiet controller is for PC... I'm not sure if no one has notices but xbox controller is loud AF, actually most PC controller are loud AF, I have been working around this using a pro controller with a button swap mod, but the rumble on the pro controller does not work 100% of the time using steam....
I think I'll stick with Hex Gaming, thanks. Looking forward to getting a Hex Phantom later down the road.

Took Hypr 6 months to send in my controller. I got Hall Effect thumbsticks and to me they just dont perform that well and i was apart of the 2nd batch of hall effects. So i was utterly disappointed😞

It's time for me to get a new controller, and I was really considering aim this time
I bought a Hypr controller in the past. It lasted around 6 months. I had recently emailed the company asking if it could be updated with some of their latest offerings and repaired. Never received a reply 😂
I bought a hypr waited for months for it told them I was gonna do a credit card charge back and it shipped that day. Less then a year later got stick drift had to pay $30 to ship it to them waited another 5 months had to send them a nasty email and again it shipped that day. Got it back on 6/21/24 and the right trigger didn’t work they have had the controller more time then I have since purchase. I decided to take controller apart myself and got the trigger to work will never deal with this company again.
Why would anyone buy a oem stoker with fancy name on it. Just get a Dualsense Edge for the same price and be done with it.
First party is wonderful, but there is some really good third-party options for PlayStation as seen in my recent comparison video

The timing of this video. Just playing Warzone a couple of minutes ago then suddenly one of my back paddle suddenly turn to like a rapid button and I am having issue picking up items in-game as it spams the button and then my R2 suddenly stops working thus I can't shoot in a shooting game. Damn I think having your own controller to be customized is a lifetime partnership with Hypr Controller from all the new problem every time you send it back for repair and I always pay for shipping. And now I need to resend it back again for the 5th time for repair. I think they need better builder/tech. You can see on my reply below on what issues I experienced with this company.
1st issue: One of the inner buttons of the back paddles was detached.
2nd issue: Just right after I got my controller back from the 1st issue, I sent it back again because when I held L2 and pressed L3, both sticks would flick to 4 oclock direction.
3rd issue: One of the back paddles was double clicking, and the usb port got burnt (might not be their fault), but I paid for the new usb board and they also fixed the double clicking issue.
4th issue: I just got back the controller from the repair from the 3rd issue, then now moving the left joystick cuts of the L2 button when holding. I can't ADS normally in CoD because of this.

Hypr controllers are in my opinion not worth the hassle, I own one and it took way longer to make it because “the parts did not arrive to the Philippines from China yet” I also needed to replace the thumb sticks and asked them to send me some, they said just buy new ones off Amazon. I replied ok but I don’t even know which thumb stick you used, no reply back. I had to replace the entire thumb stick with new ones, instead of just the extension piece.
Poor customer service indicated to me that they were in over their heads either in supply/manufacturing. The product could have really taken off at the price point if they had a decent business plan.
I bought one of there pa5 signature controllers and have zero complaints! hands down the best controller I have ever owned! I feel bad for people who have had a bad experience hopefully Hypr can fix there issues

Honestly, Hypr inspired us to start our own controller company and it really sucks to read all the comments regarding long turnaround times and poor customer service. We really did look up to them..

You should never buy a custom controller it's cheaper and easier to build it yourself. Even if you mess up you could do it 2-3 times and still not be at the cost of the overpriced things they offer.
@@Ricolaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa I've never bought one this expensive. I won my scuf from a contest with the Call of Duty League and I've had it for almost 2 years with no issues luckily.

My Hypr controller didn’t work out of the box and it took them almost 2 months to respond to my multiple attempts to reach them. When they did respond, they informed me that I missed the window for a return even though I contacted them the day I received the controller. Waste of money. This company is the worst.
I bought HyprController which cost me around 300$ arrieved after 4 months after so many emails i sent to them. Back Peddles are very hard to press. 1mm triggers are also hard to press. Major issue with my controller is, it misses input sometime which is very irretating and their supports is very garbage. I dont not recommand at all HyprController although theri Joysticks are pretty good.
Dualsense edge is the move, replacable thumbsticks are goat
Thought about buying a HYPR controller, luckily I saw a teardown and repair video so I didn't. Then considered the Dualsense Edge until I saw thumbstick replacement modules sell used like new for around $40.
So I went ahead and just got me another standard Dualsense with an extended 3 year warranty instead after my first one developed nasty stick drift days after the 30 day return window closes, but they gave me a full refund.
I'll stick with the standard Dualsense until better quality hall effect sticks are on the market than what is currently out there right now. They're just not quite there yet, but they've been making pretty rapid progress recently.

None of the big custom controller companies have reliable enough quality control to be worth the price. The two that I have tried, AIM and BattleBeaver, have given me nothing but problems. Better to order something that gets mass produced, ironically.
I ordered a controller incorrectly last November and sent it back. Then I ordered the correct controller, which is still not ready after 6 months. This company has now kept over 400 euros from me and has not yet sent it to me.
NEVER ORDER FROM THIS COMPANY. THEY WILL ONLY CHEAT YOU AND KEEP YOUR MONEY!!!

I ordered my custom Xbox controller from them, with hall effect sticks, and it came in 3 months. Which is still longer than the initial eta, but after hearing everyone else’s stories, I can’t complain. I guess I got lucky lol. The quality of the controller is fine, not great but not horrible either. But the customer service is so bad, I wouldn’t recommend it for anyone to buy either. The controllers aren’t worth the horrible customer service experience.
I also haven’t had any issues my my Hypr controllers but there’s clearly some fuckery afoot over there

Hey man I love watching your channel, it's fun 😁 but I maybe should have listened as I was going to get an elite 2 core with $130 CAD of xbox gift cards or the turtle beach stealth ultra and pay a pretty penny, I went the less expensive route and got elite 2 core with 3 year warranty for $75 CAD out of pocket. Got it in the mail one of the paddle buttons don't register until we'll after hearing the click of the button and left trigger to aim in FPS holding it down causes it to spam the button like 20 times in a second, not happy to say the least. Does microsoft even test these before shipping them. The QC is still atrocious I guess. Even though I got warranty I will likely return it I think as I see myself probably having to use that 1 replacement sooner rater than later. Hypr was a cluster. I got my product after 4 months or something wild like that. It’s a fine product(wasn’t what I ordered but hey I got it). Today the up arrow on the dpad stopped working. Can’t send it in, cause duh. Idk what to do, can you take your ps5 hypr controller apart and make a video on it so that I can see the inner workings before I try to do so myself. Shankssssssssss

What Hall effect ps5 controller would you recommend? I have a dualsense edge but the modules are unavailable for purchase via Sony or anywhere else for the £19.99 they normally priced at seems as if they all been bought from people who reselling them for £70 for 1 module. I need Hall effect controller that’s going to last as potentiometer controllers just fail on me over time.
There's a reason I don't purchase anything online that doesn't have a physical store I can walk into. If it's not on the shelves I don't but it. Reason being if something happens you're at the customer service disposal which is a awful experience. See the thing is in store they don't want a scene to happen online they don't give a shit.

Just in case you didn’t know most controller companies charge shipping to and from aim has charge me scuff modded zone I’m glad I didn’t bought from them cause I was waiting on them to fixed their problem

I must have lucked out ordering in February, got a pre-built (no customization) with hall effect sticks and 4 back buttons and received it in Canada within 2 weeks and it has been perfect so far!

It looks like hypr is the only one available rn (other than the Nacon and the QRD, both being 3rd party and not OEM form factor). After a bit more back and forth with customer service and finally got the controller. The controller is really nice but took 8 months to get. Customer services has made a large improvement since 8 months ago but still expect delays.

Hyper is shit, 1 you cant program L1 and r1 to paddels or buttons, expesive for a not great controller, other controllers are much much better
