Be cautious of the Coffmans exhaust for the fz8. Just had one on mine and switched back to stock because with the coffmans I lost pretty much all mid range torque. It’s literally just a straight pipe with a baffle

Did you go with another exhaust ?

    Wow, thinking like a TX'n. Have an FRS'13 ( ;) Turbo'd ) and now FZ8 Coffman sounds nice.

How difficult is this Coffman Shorty Exhaust to install? I’m at a beginner level for modifying my 2011 fz8

Mike Brennan it’s actually very easy. It’s just a slip on, just some wrench’s a drill and a rivet tool ($5 harbor freight) you don’t have to use the rivet but I recommend it. Also Coffman’s sends very easy to follow instructions.

Don’t know how you lost any torque. All you are doing is changing out a muffler. It should in no way affect performance. I’ve had mine for two years and couldn’t be happier

@@Salas-fh4qz man I really miss my fz8. Had to sell it to cover some bills when my semi truck got stolen. But the z900 is making up for it.

@@Salas-fh4qz one of 2 things possible out of balance is what I’d check first. Second would be bad tread. After that it’s above my pay grade so it would be on to the shop from there.

Andre Chaparro. Did you use the supplied rivet? I never had any issues with mine for thousands of miles of hard riding.

Just ordered a stock exhaust off eBay to replace the loud and M4 on my FZ8. Tinnitus is real and I don't want it
