I have used it to weld on and as a work table for when I'm doing wood working. I clean it up and use it to sit hot pots and food on when having an outdoor event around the fire pit or cookout. It has come in handy for many task.
I can't say for certain that both are made in the same manufacturing plant but they are very similar. I looked at the Dewalt but decided for my use the Northern Tool Klutch would be better for me. I like the leg adjustments much better on the Klutch and the price was a lot better. It has served me well with no issues.
The Klutch is on sale now for $120 vs $230 for the Dewalt , according to specs the Klutcch is 42 lbs and the Dewalt is 40 lbs , easy decision here , the Klutch is on order . @@ifixit172
1,000 pounds? Sorry, but no way. 100 pounds? Sure, no problem. 200 pounds? Well, sure. 300 pounds? No, these are way too flimsy for that. It seems as though they test these things by very carefully stacking bags of sand on top, covering the surface, until it collapses. But give it a push, and it will collapse sooner.
I dont weld but the height adjustment and metal top makes me want to get this as a work table more then the other plastic options

@ifixit172 would you trust it to use as a platform also ?
@@zabduhamel6745 I think it is as sturdy as my Aluminum step platforms that I have. Might be a big step to get up on.
This looks identical to the Dewalt which is priced way higher , are the two made by the same manufaturer ?
