Eddie created the Motorhead guitar sound, played with tons of feel and balls, pure instinctive guitarrist, perfect match with Lem & Phil. They're rockin' up there somewhere right now!
One of the most overlooked in the history of hard music! Innovator..., visionary. Listen to the covers of MOTORHEAD songs during the "fast eddie" era..., hardly anyone can capture the essence of this player. Jeez..., just the sound he got out of his instrument is incredible!!!
Eddie absolutely gave Motorhead "that sound" that they never let go of. I don't say this often but truly overlooked in hard rock history. Great player man!
I've always loved Eddie's guitar playing he was quite clever using a strat over lemmy's bass sound that's partly why Motorhead never sounded the same without him
R.I.P. EDDIE~ 1st came across you as a 23y old in 1977. because john peel played.the 1st ever single "Motorhead" on his show.that solo knocked me out, and i brought the single. Cheers Eddie!
@George Varotsis he did say the best but not technically and as far as motorhead goes i would say eddie wasnt that technical of a player which is why i loved his playing
Saw them back in 78 when they first started out with Eddie - they were great! Just ferocious rock and roll, loved Eddie's tone and playing, still do - good on yer Eddie!!
Eddie (RIP) . No hay duda de que con tu Profesionalismo de guitarra dejaste una huella imborrable en lo que es MOTORHEAD. Nosotros los fans te llevamos en el ♥️ y consideramos que estás en el mismo escalón de LEGEND de la guitarra
I like the way the beginning of the solo is Black Sabbath's Supernaut. I've never caught that after hearing this song a million times. I guess because he plays it extra fast during the song. Fast Eddie Clarke is a guitar stud. Killer Fender Strat.
I know not everyone will agree but Fast Eddie is the Original and Best. I've seen Motorhead many times over the years, the were my very first gig in 1979 aged 13. I've seen them in every decade since and although I very much like the current line up. It's just not the same, there was more energy back then, they rocked that hard you had punks and metal fans in the audience equally in awe!
@88mpny yes, DiMarzio X2N in bridge, Dimarzio SDS-1 in neck, standard Fender single coil in middle, Gibson frets, chromed brass pickguard. Once it was fitted with a stndard Fender tremolo, now a Kahler locking tremolo.
My uncle gave me a little toy when I was a kid and it was called "Fast Eddie", because he was the fastest toy in the world :). I think my mum still has him somewhere💙
eddie clarke used to leave motorhead all of the time and lemmy asked him back but when they were making one of thier albums lemmy was told that eddie had left the band because of an arguement and lemmy didn't ask him to come back
With all due respect for Phil, Fast Eddie is the master of Ace of spades :D Somebody knows where I can find the correct tab for Ace of spade (the fast eddie version) ? Thanks a lot !

Should be remembered forever just for this lick alone
For sure!!
He had this Blues-efficiency with spot-on notes; great feeling, no noodling
That's the way I live.....
This guy lost his two best friends in less than a year. He`s still going.
Love ya, Eddie
The last Original Motörhead
Rest easy Eddie, i know you wont you’ll be playing the loudest music up there with Lemmy and phil
@@missespinky2810 Not now.

Lol, Fuckin A! I literally just posted the same thing. He gave them "that sound" they never let go of 🤘

Fast eddie rules, Motorhead was never the same without him.
Yes I agree

RIP you metal god.
”ROCK N ROLL”
Insane tone. Fast Eddie is my hero
Too much drive xD
@@Tobi-zj6oh Motorhead needs high-gain.
THIS IS MOTORHEAD! overkill, stay clean, bomber, ace of spades, no class, iron fist, damage case.....
R.I.P. EDDIE~ 1st came across you as a 23y old in 1977. because john peel played.the 1st ever single "Motorhead" on his show.that solo knocked me out, and i brought the single. Cheers Eddie!
R.i.p Fast Eddie...you are not forgotten...you were great ...thanks for memories...only with you in the lineup Motorhead were at best 🤟🇮🇹
Not the most technical, but still the best Motörhead guitarist. Kilmister-Clarke-Taylor forever.
Soul men rock !
Doesn't have to be technical, it's what works for you and the band. Great sound, great music and great band. Go Eddie!
I respectfully disagree. Eddie Clarke made Motorhead who they were.
Technicals for deathmetal loving wussies.
@George Varotsis he did say the best but not technically and as far as motorhead goes i would say eddie wasnt that technical of a player which is why i loved his playing
I fuckin love this shit. I could listen to Eddie Clarke play riffs all day.I'll never understand why people don't love this guy.
I do.
Me too
Rip great Eddy 😘😘😘
His guitar sounds absolutely amazing when he let's that G chord ring out during the verse section.
Saw them back in 78 when they first started out with Eddie - they were great! Just ferocious rock and roll, loved Eddie's tone and playing, still do - good on yer Eddie!!

He always had a good tone with the Strat and Marshall. RIP
One of the most underrated guitarists ever.
Love his playing.. his strat.. especially his 1st fastway album, the guitar work is my style 100%
Actually, it's mine.....
Eddie, you are deeply missed and I hope you, Phil and Lemmy are having I good time when you are playing together up there !!! ♠⭐♥
I like the way the beginning of the solo is Black Sabbath's Supernaut. I've never caught that after hearing this song a million times. I guess because he plays it extra fast during the song. Fast Eddie Clarke is a guitar stud. Killer Fender Strat.
Iconic, timeless, hope they’re having many heavenly reunions!
Rip Eddie, my major inspiration. And that guitar is the reason why I started to love Strats!
It just works. It's pure rock and roll. OG Badass

Fast Eddie is sunonymous with Motorhead.

Perfect Match in Motorhead with Lemmy both play not in technical sense but feel

Nothing better then a well played guitar, nothing more exiting...

Fender needs to build a Eddie Clarke model!!!
The best
Power !
Epic distortion tone
Perfect fucking sound
wow yeah excelent
He is one of my musical idols (others like steve Vai, Morello etc.)
Mestre
I know he got a lot out of Ritchie Blackmore from Deep Purple. All the guys in Motorhead were huge Purple fans.
Well, he's still got it!
this is it!!
@Farquharson64 also had something to do with the cover of "stand by your man" with wendy o, or so i hear
The proof that guitar is an expression instrument.
The Best, Come On to Brasil Man !!! ;-D
Motörhead Sound pur! Ohne ihn kein solcher Sound.
Nice tone!
good playing:)
Fender, please release a fast Eddie Clark signature Stratocaster
Times like these I'm glad I brought a 1970s Fender Stratocaster.
❤
Rest In Peace
That sound...
eddie clarke used to leave motorhead all of the time and lemmy asked him back but when they were making one of thier albums lemmy was told that eddie had left the band because of an arguement and lemmy didn't ask him to come back

Eddie and Lemmy were Motorhead.
With all due respect for Phil, Fast Eddie is the master of Ace of spades :D Somebody knows where I can find the correct tab for Ace of spade (the fast eddie version) ? Thanks a lot !
Looks like a DiMarzio X in the bridge?. and a Dimarzio single in the front.

Eddie should have had a signature Stratocaster, shame on you Fender, shame on you!
