Playing this at homecoming halftime, one of the altos has to run all the way across the field in 40 beats
Jazz running with a saxophone sounds terrifying and that is what you would probably have to do in this situation.
running with an alto, from experience, is not fun at all. it’s actually quiet difficult, especially if you’re supposed to play while doing so.

I hope to play this my senior year (2023-2024 season) and I hope my band director doesn't mind ordering it. I've been an Elton fan since I was born, and getting to play one of my all time favorite songs would be a great send off to high school!!! We're playing crocodile rock for the upcoming season though!
