The 5VZ-fe is a very reliable engine a lot more reliable that anything a chev , dodge or ford puts out . They are not ment to be a high performance race engine , they make for a great every day driver / excellent trail truck . The Toyota 2JZ make a great high performance engine that you can get 1000 plus HP out of it .
