- The Shturm-S in War Thunder is a weird tank destroyer. It can hide behind a hill and basically plays deadly peek-a-boo! The only thing you will normally show is the launcher and missile its self making it extremely difficult for an enemy to pick you off!
The Shturm-S has multiple different types of missiles from 800mm Tandem-ATGM's to Proximity Fuse Missiles for dealing with helicopters and planes.
This thing is pretty fun to play, but it's SUPER map dependant!

Use the proxy for everything, it actually can kill any vehicle in the game including Maus and ALWAYS oneshots due to overpressure unless you hit them where the HE cant blow through, actually saves missiles in the long run because even poor aimed hits tend to kill tanks anyways, does not radi fuze on tanks, so you need to hit hull/turret roofs.
And yet they still can't get the tow 2b to do more than just kill the gun breach. Fuck gaijin

Absolutely slaps with proxy. It’s absurd sometimes.
I have some experience with BMP 2M proxy missiles
And the fact that they recently buffed the reload on the shturm makes it sooo good, I take that thing to 9.3 and it still does fairly well
Odd you don't know how much better you make me feel. Just got back from seeing my dad in the hospital who has really aggressive liver cancer and I see you uploaded a video 2 hrs ago. I dont even play warthunder anymore but I still watch your videos because it reminds me of better and happier times and helps me to forget for a bit that probably soon I won't have my dad in my life anymore. That Gepard being angry at you for “stealing” his kill while at the same time not being able to kill any of the helicopters summarizes WT teammates perfectly. The fact that a Shturm was able to take out 3 helicopters faster than the Gepard sitting right next to it is just plain as day a terrible.
So often do I just watch my friendly AA fire dozens of rounds and hit nothing at enemy aircraft. I say “cover me!” And fly right over my friendly AA and the enemy plane chases me, the AA misses 100 rounds, and I die.
Radar lock on some aa is terrible for no reason. IIRC that russian 7.7 aa radar for example is way off compared to arcade aim lead assist. Gaijin should really buff anti air capabilities imo
Yea as a new player getting into war thunder I saw a tip saying “fly over friendly spaa if you’re being tailed” and 9/10 I watch the friendly miss everything I lose a wing and die
It's good to see you incorporating CAS again. I enjoy watching both ground and CAS. Mostly cause I can't CAS worth a damn.

@@mikeabulencia Well, as long as you know not to crash into the dirt, to aim bombs or rockets and to not fly in a predictable path for too long, anyone can do it. At top tier, the vehicle does the most amount of work for you. And apart from SPAAs and some light tanks, nothing can stop you.
Interestingly you can take this along with the IT-1 and make the ultimate peek-a-boo comp.

Yeah at least the bt7 has a decent cannon wich the m22 doesn’t have
that BT-7 had the F34 cannon so it's not your average BT.. plus the BT will not face russian vehicles that are at times hard to pen from the sides..
Honestly doubt it would be possible. They got similar armour (Locust is worse I think), but the Locust is 2.0 whereas the BT-7 was 3.7, with APHE and Scouting

when your ammo type switches it resets your optics range, like when you go from apfsds to heat.
The optics changes because of the bullet drop of the apfsds,heat/like how fast the shell is going. I believe the optics changes back to max depression the shturm-s has -5, At 4:11 as you can see, it resets to -5 its supposed to be -5 and he made it lower because odd was using the a

@@sugomaenjoyer1396 I get what you are saying,yes it resets to neutral because of the ammo type changing. If you look closely at the ammo at 4:11 it goes from tandem heat to hevt which will reset scope like what happens when you switch any ammo type. you can also see shortly after he fires that the gun reticle is in the look reticle showing that the guns range reset

I absolutely love the Shturm and I always carry it even in my 11.0 lineup. That warhead will go through just about anything & the proxy-fuse round I use constantly to take out helis & planes. TBH, I actually don't even use the Tandem warhead and just carry all proxy-fuse HE's. It's extremely rare that overpressure from that thing doesn't kill just about anything it hits, as long as you don't do it from the sides. Just aim for the cheek mantlets of ANY tank, even the Leo 2A6, and the blast will always go down through the drivers hatch and kill everyone.
Love this thing. I use it all the way up to top tier because it’s so good at killing helis.

This thing is one of my favorite vehicles, its nice to relax and sit back to just aim in the general direction of helis with the proxy missile.
No easy mode bias.... @ 8.3 no less with nuke proxy missiles and thermals lol. So blatantly op.

Using this thing extensively, i can recommend using proxy atgms only - wasting an atgm while only having 12 is something you cannot afford and air targets often appear so suddendly that you could not do so anyway. They still work against all but the most armored tanks and you're a far superior AA to any other vehicle at this BR.
I don't even play wt, but I still watch these videos for the sheer insanity.
As a shitshturm veteran, full HE-VT loadout, you can overpressure every tank you face and you can easily take out helicopters and planes at any time.
The VT's don't react to terrain or enemy tanks so you'll always impact them.
This thing is a monster.

I love the mtlb platform. (what the hull of the shturm is) it's such a versatile vehicle. I saw the polish using them as so many different things.
There are two versions of said platform, too. One (MT-LBu) is slightly longer and got extra pair of wheels, which allows to stuff bulkier and heavier equipment on it.
Curiously, war thunder lacks 2S1 Gvozdika, which is rather vital piece of equipment (Essentially, it's a "howitzer for regiments not really meant to have any").

I believe it went down to 800, but it's still a tandem-charge

you can still switch the ammo when reloading the round, it just resets the reload
Not on this thing, you have to make a choice before the reload starts.

It's a nice vehicle for sure. The deploy time and inability to set cruise control slow enough to keep the launcher deployed really makes it a niche pick though. Would be nice to be able to move slowly while being able to react.

Did you know bro that on average on every game you showcase you are taking out 3 to 5 players by yourself meaning your either taking out 1/4 of the enemy team or even close to 1/3 which is insane in itself because it's almost unfair lol
