One thing I'd like to see you explore with the line-ups is doing just a 5 vehicle line-up, as that is the max number of crews you can purchase without using GE. Would be a good example for the free-to-play or just straight up el-cheapo (like myself) users.
@@di5ea5eairsoft6 The extra slots are not worth it. If you die in 3 tanks the round is probably lost anyways, one multirole and one attacker is enough. The 6th one is a nice to have for variety on different maps but you also gotta level all those crews. And in the end you dont have that many good vehicles on most BRs anyways.
I believe the perception of TH-camrs only doing great in matches and never showing the bad matches can annoy players who try to play as they want to play as good. Seeing the bad matches gives people a sense that not every match is a good match and a youtuber can represent both sides

And also I still remembering those time when JustinPlay making Obj 906 vids and all my team bullying him at Korea dam map, he almost got to cap A at first time but 3 guy on my team throw arty on him and we killed him, at second time we guest he will show at near B so we waiting and yep then 5 guy with M2HB burst him into death lmao....... So in the end he just have 0 kill with 2 death on those Obj..... Then he quit from the match 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Please do more of these. So much more fun with the variety. You're so enjoyable to watch so it's fun to watch even if you don't showcase only one tank. Just a regular game with a full lineup are also very enjoyable to watch while you play.
Similar to your How to CAS video, I think it might be neat to see you do a How to SPAA video. Mostly showing the basics of not firing at targets 4km out and getting out of the spawn. Possibly make it a How to Anti-CAS including tips on good fighters or how to prioritize targets. There's a lot of players out there that hate CAS in ground RB and it might be interesting to see something useful that helps players learn to manage it better. Both in lower BR and high tier play.
Absolutely. I used ot be very frustrated that CAS never went how I expected, and it's less frustrating now that i've seen odd's video. SPAA is also pretty frustrating, even though I enjoy it, so I would love a guide.

It's unfortunate really but look at US naval ships during the Pacific campaign they generally had a hundred or more AA guns in flotillas of half a dozen ships and still got hit by kamikazes and air strikes yet we're supposed to kill 5 planes in 10 secs with one SPAA with no flak and the plane holding all the advantage.
Here's the strategy. Hope the enemy plane player is stupid and Gaijin will buff SPAA's. Typically finding cover *IF the map even gives you air cover* is the best way to play, but some airplane players at around 4.0-6.0 will never draw close enough for you to get a bead and will manevour out of any shots you give them so just kinda... yeet rounds at them and pray. OR you can be a true SPAA player and just focus on killing tanks. It's much more satisfying and rewarding.
Fun fact: the reason the M18 is built differently as a light tank is because it’s not a light tank. It’s a fast response tank destroyer. Using the speed and mobility the M18 brought a big gun quickly across battlefields to counter enemy armor advances.

I wish players at higher tiers would use lineups. Makes some nations unplayable around 9.0-10.7. Your entire team just dies once and leaves the game making it impossible to win.
It's because you can buy your way to top tier now regardless of how many standard tree vehicles you have. Best German tank the Pz3? Hop into a tier 6 battle with a Leopard 2A4 with no secondary vehicles.
To me this is far more entertaining than the ones featuring one vehicle. I can actually see how you employ different strategies in order to win the game, rather than just surviving long enough in order to get some sneaky kills. Btw my favorite lineup is the US 5.3 (without the hellcat and using the previous sherman 76) as i don't own that UFO of a jet that can carry any game. This way not only do i avoid the 6.7 vehicles which can be quite bad for the jumbo, but for some reason most games are just 5.3 ones against German tech tree players, for which i don't have to give a description 😆.
Thank you for actually running a full lineup, it's always been annoying how folks like Phly led to alot of people taking just single vehicles and quitting matches quickly because they don't even have backups for the single vehicle they brought.
That's not the reason this happens, i do it myself, wanna know why? because if play with a full lineup in a losing game im gonna be down 1000s of SL, Gaijin should fix the economy first and THEN players might start actually using every vehicle they have

I just wish there was a US SPAA that could go between their 4.7 and 8.0. Unfortunately they have the same jump IRL. That player on Frozen Pass is the kind of special that can’t be allowed in public without an adult accompanying them.
Wow! A full lineup is so entertaining. It's like you have multiple tools available and can contribute to the team in a way that makes winning more likely. The thing is, running only 2 or 3 vehicles at a time taught me to respect my vehicles and not just recklessly run in thinking that I’ll have more vehicles to spawn in
Being to careful is also bad, it makes matches go stagnant for over 10 min straight, seen it happen way too often, enemy have 3 caps but none of the team likes to push

I love playing SPAA at low to medium tier, but mainly because so many people are bad at it that planes tend to ignore you… making it super fun if you know what you’re doing.

One of my favorite things to do in War thunder was blapping overconfident Tiger Hs with my Cobra King after I realized an AP shot to the cupola resulted in one shots/crippled tanks most of the time.
2:15 Yeah, the fifty-horsepower drop, Gaijn gave the M4A3 and volumetric shells really nerfed that tank. It's less maneuverable than Panthers now and is just not competitive at 5.7.

US players try not to abuse CAS after dying 30seconds in after doing the bare minimum to get a plane with 3 bombs 6-8 rockets and 2400+ 50cals with AP belts. ("Hurr durr just first spawn SPAA" they say as they only need 1-2 kills or a single cap to spawn a plane)
I agree with taking a full lineup, but i still mimic some ways that YTers like you and Spookston play. Usually more cautious and trying to play to the strengths of your vehicle
the jumbo is indeed good for breakthroughs. My team was trapped in the spawn. i pushed out in the jumbo the team followed and destroyed multiple enemies while i just drove forward lol

You know, I had this exact thought the other day. "What if all the one death losers are just trying to be like their favorite youtuber/streamer?" They need to be put onto a matchmaking cooldown if it happens too often. Content creation was a net negative for gaming.
Hey Odd, you should play the Phil m/40 again. I’ve been using it for the event, and it grinds out critical hits like nothing else. The round is really good, and it doesn’t feel limited by the magazine size.
Combined with the Swedish AA(79mm pen if i'm not mistaken,same BR) and trumpet you will get trough the Summer Event really quick,i don't do it but 'Mr Boblee' has a really good video on it. He has a very small WT channel and it's like Dollar his channel. Sometimes even better,fantastic use of memes. He deserves to be mentioned and get some love just like we mentioned Dollar to Phly . It's a real treat to watch. it's hilarious.
I stopped playing this toxic game over a year ago but I rarely played lineups because I usually only wanted to play a specific vehicle and was usually too pissed off to spawn in again, not least because GRB battles devolve into CAS battles and I was a ground only player. Also, if I left a match early, crew locks were not an issue.
Man you are just too good regardless of your choice of vehicle or the tier you're up against. I'm fairly new to WT and keep getting smacked after 1-2 kills per tank, maybe with time I'll gain more map knowledge to predict enemy flanks and all.
This is very similer to the way I setup my lineups when I play ground, the best advice I can give is to always take atleast one fighter, you never know when you could clutch air superiority
Really great video Odd, it was just nice to see a full line up video. I know it makes sense for you to play 1 vehicle for a vid but this was just really fresh and worked so well.
The event only requires one of your vehicles to be Rank 3. So my current lineup is Puma (2.7), Pz.IV H (3.7), Wirbelwind/Ostwind (3.7), Bf109 F-4 (4.0) and Bf110 G-2 (3.7).
also all challenges from BP and daily and special can be done if u spawn tier 3 vehicle like u can spawn tier 3 ussr aaa and then play with su 122 or bt5
The lowest BR tier 3 ground vehicle in realistic is the Swedish L-62 Anti II SPAA at 2.7. It is relatively quick, the gun is great for side shots and can pen a lot of things frontally, but it has no armor (.50 cals chew this up like soggy toast) and the turret traverse is poor for an SPAA. It is better as a tank destroyer. In order to get credit for the points to apply, you must actually use a tier 3 or above vehicle (or an event or BP vehicle of any BR/tier) in the match; just having them in your lineup will not suffice.
OddBawZ can you make a video about the SU-85M? Im recommending this because at BR 5.0 It has 148 mm of pen and a 9 second reload and the frontal armor is 145-160 mm which is really just 75 mm on a really steep angle. Its frontal armor is so good in fact that i used it to get 10 kills in 3 minutes and didnt get frontally penetrated once. The Tiger H1, Tiger E, KV-85, IS-1, M6A1,M4A3E2, and many more high penetration tanks struggle to penetrate its armor. I find myself being most commonly destroyed by T-34-85 (D-5T)’s, Panther D’s and M4A1,A2 and A3 shermans of the 76 W variant. I think you could make a very good video using this underrated tank.

The AM Mauler. Why the Navy selected the AD Skyraider over the Mauler is a mystery. I think it was because the engine required significantly more maintenance. Still, it was much superior.
as a matter of a fact, it can be better to play with only one vehicle in your lineup and maybe one cas plane, because in some tech trees there are some br barriers with big armour and gun differences. like 5.7 Sweden for example. it has the strv 74. that is really the only good vehicle there, and you can bring in something like the j21a3 for cas since for f2p players that aren't experienced they can lose in many tanks in a lineup and then have a massive repair bill. but if you only bring 1 or 2 things, it can train you to be better at the game since you have less opportunities for profit. it is also great for focusing research with that extra 10% for something before it.
Bringing a full lineup into a battle costs too much to repair. I started brining 1 main vehicle, 1 backup with dirt cheap repair and something for cas (which I use rarely).
what if we ONLY play air RB? I cant stand ground battles because I dont find it fun to get shut out at the start of a match then sniped from across the map by enemies I cant even see while trying to leave the spawn. Air RB is a much more balanced mode to me as each player only has a single plane so the matches don't come down to who has the biggest lineups and who does the best to keep getting respawn points tokeep coming back indefinitely.
The thing about taking out a full lineup is that you get punished for it, unless you have Premium, Win and do extremely well you will loose SL after the second game, now combine it with the absurd repair cost of Sweden and you get my life
You get more SL for playing a match to the end though. I take full line ups all the time and it's very rare that I lose SL, even without a premium account, and even without winning.

How to AA: Spawn a damn fighter. SPAAs are just at a massive disadvantage to planes at WW2 BRs, especially if there is more than one plane up.

Yep - i learned it recently by playing the object 120 as only vehicule in 7.3 lineup. If you can let another person go in front? Do it. No risks

1leavers have gotten totally out of hand, on all battle ratings and as you said that's mostly thanks to popular youtubers sometimes even clearing showing themselves leaving a game after 1 death, and not even using a backup.

There is one thing I wish is that the number of crew spaces you can get with sl was bigger then I could bring a bigger line up
One of my favorite things to do in War thunder was blapping overconfident Tiger Hs with my Cobra King after I realized an AP shot to the cupola resulted in one shots/crippled tanks most of the time.

Of course it could be because the cctv gamers are flooding the other servers now because they shut down cccp servers, it is what it is I guess. US players try not to abuse CAS after dying 30seconds in after doing the bare minimum to get a plane with 3 bombs 6-8 rockets and 2400+ 50cals with AP belts. ("Hurr durr just first spawn SPAA" they say as they only need 1-2 kills or a single cap to spawn a plane)
I agree with taking a full lineup, but i still mimic some ways that YTers like you and Spookston play. Usually more cautious and trying to play to the strengths of your vehicle
the jumbo is indeed good for breakthroughs. My team was trapped in the spawn. i pushed out in the jumbo the team followed and destroyed multiple enemies while i just drove forward lol
Now Odd, I know that rarer vehicles have their appeal, but I would really like to see videos with lineups like the rest of us, to have less premiums like the rest of us. Love your content

Hey Odd, you should play the Phil m/40 again. I’ve been using it for the event, and it grinds out critical hits like nothing else. The round is really good, and it doesn’t feel limited by the magazine size.
Combined with the Swedish AA(79mm pen if i'm not mistaken,same BR) and trumpet you will get trough the Summer Event really quick,i don't do it but 'Mr Boblee' has a really good video on it. He has a very small WT channel and it's like Dollar his channel. Sometimes even better,fantastic use of memes. He deserves to be mentioned and get some love just like we mentioned Dollar to Phly . It's a real treat to watch. it's hilarious.

I stopped playing this toxic game over a year ago but I rarely played lineups because I usually only wanted to play a specific vehicle and was usually too pissed off to spawn in again, not least because GRB battles devolve into CAS battles and I was a ground only player. Also, if I left a match early, crew locks were not an issue.
Man you are just too good regardless of your choice of vehicle or the tier you're up against.
I'm fairly new to WT and keep getting smacked after 1-2 kills per tank, maybe with time I'll gain more map knowledge to predict enemy flanks and all.

This is very similer to the way I setup my lineups when I play ground, the best advice I can give is to always take atleast one fighter, you never know when you could clutch air superiority
Really great video Odd, it was just nice to see a full line up video. I know it makes sense for you to play 1 vehicle for a vid but this was just really fresh and worked so well.
The event only requires one of your vehicles to be Rank 3. So my current lineup is Puma (2.7), Pz.IV H (3.7), Wirbelwind/Ostwind (3.7), Bf109 F-4 (4.0) and Bf110 G-2 (3.7).
if u have event vehicle like bp vehicles u can ecen take some Turan 2 or something at be able to farm score at 2,0 XD
also all challenges from BP and daily and special can be done if u spawn tier 3 vehicle like u can spawn tier 3 ussr aaa and then play with su 122 or bt5
The lowest BR tier 3 ground vehicle in realistic is the Swedish L-62 Anti II SPAA at 2.7. It is relatively quick, the gun is great for side shots and can pen a lot of things frontally, but it has no armor (.50 cals chew this up like soggy toast) and the turret traverse is poor for an SPAA. It is better as a tank destroyer.
In order to get credit for the points to apply, you must actually use a tier 3 or above vehicle (or an event or BP vehicle of any BR/tier) in the match; just having them in your lineup will not suffice.
OddBawZ can you make a video about the SU-85M? Im recommending this because at BR 5.0 It has 148 mm of pen and a 9 second reload and the frontal armor is 145-160 mm which is really just 75 mm on a really steep angle. Its frontal armor is so good in fact that i used it to get 10 kills in 3 minutes and didnt get frontally penetrated once. The Tiger H1, Tiger E, KV-85, IS-1, M6A1,M4A3E2, and many more high penetration tanks struggle to penetrate its armor. I find myself being most commonly destroyed by T-34-85 (D-5T)’s, Panther D’s and M4A1,A2 and A3 shermans of the 76 W variant. I think you could make a very good video using this underrated tank.

The AM Mauler. Why the Navy selected the AD Skyraider over the Mauler is a mystery. I think it was because the engine required significantly more maintenance. Still, it was much superior.
Mice juice is a reference to Dune, the David Lynch version I think, the Harkonnen house do weird stuff like that.
as a matter of a fact, it can be better to play with only one vehicle in your lineup and maybe one cas plane, because in some tech trees there are some br barriers with big armour and gun differences. like 5.7 Sweden for example. it has the strv 74. that is really the only good vehicle there, and you can bring in something like the j21a3 for cas since for f2p players that aren't experienced they can lose in many tanks in a lineup and then have a massive repair bill. but if you only bring 1 or 2 things, it can train you to be better at the game since you have less opportunities for profit. it is also great for focusing research with that extra 10% for something before it.
I have to say, I’ve only recently started to grind out planes for cas because i only recently realized how influential they are in a regular match

Bringing a full lineup into a battle costs too much to repair. I started brining 1 main vehicle, 1 backup with dirt cheap repair and something for cas (which I use rarely).

what if we ONLY play air RB? I cant stand ground battles because I dont find it fun to get shut out at the start of a match then sniped from across the map by enemies I cant even see while trying to leave the spawn. Air RB is a much more balanced mode to me as each player only has a single plane so the matches don't come down to who has the biggest lineups and who does the best to keep getting respawn points tokeep coming back indefinitely.

The thing about taking out a full lineup is that you get punished for it, unless you have Premium, Win and do extremely well you will loose SL after the second game, now combine it with the absurd repair cost of Sweden and you get my life
You get more SL for playing a match to the end though. I take full line ups all the time and it's very rare that I lose SL, even without a premium account, and even without winning.
