Not everyone has dumbbell weights can you give alternatives
I use plastic bottles filled with water. Works great!
Water bottles about 16-20ounces
I loved it. When you picked that weight up with both of your feet by ankles(?) That was tough, and I found out I need some muscle in that area. And using the yoga block for lifting legs. Yupp... I was feeling it. I did want to give up, but

I am SO happy ffor this video! I am 73 years old. I've had 10,000 steps a day since August. (Minus 1 day I was under the weather.) While walking, I began having much pain in my foot, and then it proceeded up my leg and ankle. -- My chiropractor discovered I had developed a flat foot on the left - quite severe. -- He ordered some insoles made to correct the issue and I am much better. My ankle sometimes is strained mostly at this point. I wear a support sleeve on some days. I am very active. I ride my horse. Due to the trouble I had developed, I wasn't able to get on my horse very well. These exercises are right up my alley! I love your videos! I ALWAYS see results when I do them. I love your "muffin top" video. Always enjoy seeing the puppy too!

The exercises were awesome however I was not successful. Lifting my legs while holding the dumbbell was impossible.
That’s a great effort Monique! Try putting your legs in the same position, elevated under the knee and then place a bag of rice or something similar on top of your feet and try doing it that way. The goal is to add resistance so you can feel your quad muscles working. Give it a try and let me know how you go ❤️

Thanks Schellea for another seated workout (for legs ) really need this to get back into fitness while my ankle recovers after breaking it last Autumn. I've lost so much muscle strength due to being so inactive. I used to use the Dyna band in my younger days it would be great if you could do a few videos using bands as I think they are very good resistance work out. But I find my old videos are too fast using weights and bands making it hard to get positions right which is so important. You are very considerate of that issue so make it easier for your students thank you. You are a really great fitness instructor and I have had many years of keep fit classes being a runner and keep fit junkie 😊 Instructor told me years ago about touching the muscle you are working eg abdominals because it makes the connection to the brain that you are working on that muscle so increasing the effect 🤔do you think this is so? Many many thanks for your videos really appreciate it 💕

How heavy are the weights that you are using?
I like to start at 1- or 2-pound dumbbells for people who have never worked out before, then move up to 5 or 10 pounds if you’re someone that is used to lifting weights. Hope this helps! I'm sending you a big hug 🤗💕
