Been to both many times.. while I love France but Italy, Italian people and Italian fashion, Italian cities and Italian beautiful landscapes… are all one word… Magic!!
Italian style, in my opinion is not boldness neither dramatic = it is joy and fantasy, celebration of life and all its colors ❤🎉 I am Italian in fashion, way of clothing, and more…. ❤🎉
Only Italian style! I feel better, nicer and atractive😊 in this style, although I’m Polish, Italian style is happier and they know how to celebrate dolce vita!!!!!
POC who appreciates both but prefer the Italian Fashion. The mix of color and silhouette looks cool and fun. I’ve never cared for Trench coats. The fitted blazer goes every where for me.
I used to think that French style was the best. Now I know - the Italians do it way better!! French style is understated (boring) and classic (old). Italian style is classic, yet fresh and bold and new. I love the way the Italians dress.
I like to have basics like the French and add color like the Italians. While considering myself to be more of a French style dresser, most of my wardrobe and go to labels are Italian labels.
Italian style in the 50’s and 60’s, French in 30’s. Not sure for the 40’s. I like both but as half Italian you know. Now, really it is not hard to get French style but to nail Italian you need to be born this way ❤
Difficult to replicate in other countries. First, their textile and their garnment industry is better. The Italian look may seem bold, but look at the perfect lapels and well constructed garnment. Second, their washing machines are better. In the US, the standard washing machines destroys your attire.
The French style you show is more the style you see in Paris. If you travel around the country, you'll see that people in the South are more flashy and bling, in the North, there's much more alternative styles like punks or goths...
Viva la French! You convinced me that I tend to be more of a French and classic dresser with adding a printed scarf and accented simple jewelry for the past 50 years. Note I started out as a t textile designer. 🌹
El estilo Italiano es fácil por lo extravagante y permisivo que es, los excesos quedan bien o al manos son simpáticos... El estilo francés es mas difícil de lograr porque requiere tener un ojo muy entrenado para que "el menos sea más"...
I am definitely French style which I learned from my mother. I grew up not knowing anything else but classic pieces that she wore. I. Ontinue to embrace the classic French look, in clothing and makeup. However, I have been known to wear a bold necklace , earrings, bracelets, and purses to elevate my distinctly French style. I will be living in Nice part-time) soon , so I want to know as much as I can. PLEASE do an episode on French footwear....from summer to winter!
I like how women over 50 dress them selfs in Latino America, it's simple and collorfull, long, floral and light. Almost no acessorys many tattoos and all the rommantic curvys are showed, my mother is a little over 50, and her beautiful curves are amezing in her cotton dresses from Farm Rio...
I've come to really appreciate the simplicity of French style. However, I like to pop it up with edgier American street style. I'd like to see more of the Italian style, but what is shown in the video is way too over the top for me. I'll look for other videos on this.
French style in dressing up is laid back and effortless. Italian style on the other hand is "dressed to kill" and somewhat flamboyant. By the way, how can you distinguish between French and Scandinavian/Danish style since they almost look the same? Thank you and greetings from Manila, Philippines.
I’m glad you watched 💛I added the products mentioned in the video description for you to check out 👜💖

French style is very easy to achieve. Italian Style requires a very special eye.
Italian style ❤️ there are no better dressed and more beautiful people than in Milan and surroundings.
Italian fashion is my favorite...Definitely!!!
Only Italian style! I feel better, nicer and atractive😊 in this style, although I’m Polish, Italian style is happier and they know how to celebrate dolce vita!!!!!
Italian fashion is colourful and fun rather like the people themselves who make you smile.
POC who appreciates both but prefer the Italian Fashion. The mix of color and silhouette looks cool and fun. I’ve never cared for Trench coats. The fitted blazer goes every where for me.
Definitely italian 😊
While I like the French style, the Italian style is much more exciting and fun, might I add.

Les italiens sont élégant dans la rue les français ont perdue cette élégance depuis les années 80
Italisn style. I love bold colors
Truly excellent conversation with a stellar historian
I am in my 40s...probably lean more French, but sometimes I go out on a limb, push the envelope and go to the Italian side. I blend the looks too. 😊
Italians are the best for sure
Maybe a mix of both styles is the best.
Thank you and God bless you.
No comparison. Italian wins hands down EVERY time !
I love and prefer French style. Simply chic.
Loved watching this perhaps another time a male vesion . Salute to you all ♥️🇮🇹

I would love to see a video on Dutch Style , much more interesting 😉
Have you ever been in Italy? Italian style has much less bright and excessive colors than seen in these photos
I like both
this is not french style you see in Paris at all. especially, no french would ever wear a beret!
❤🇮🇹❤🇮🇹❤🇮🇹
Classic, chic, elegant- French! ❤
I mix the neutral colors with powerful acessories.!!!! I mix both the styles! Tks for sharing this!❤
There are too many rules in French style and it's based on class.
Amei!❤🎉

Italians are romantic and Franchwoman are good
Thank you very much for this comparison. i'm truly more to French designs than Italian fashion, which shouts to much for old classic me.😊
French Style!

Give me opulence and drama any day!
French! With an Italian style element sometimes

It’s only lately that Italians have embraced bold patterns and colors. Now they are just having fun.
