Myles Garrett calling Watson a “model citizen” is pathetic
Guy acts all high and mighty, bro didn’t you hit a guy with his own helmet? You could have seriously concussed him.
Agreed. All he had to say was "I don't like people cheering that my teammate got hurt" and no one would think anything of it. But why say more than that? Even if he likes Watson he should have enough awareness to realize how unpopular Watson is and WHY he's so unpopular. And I'll be honest, when I heard that he got injured I felt a little glad. Only player I can think of where I didn't feel bad about his injury. Watson is going to make millions of dollars and get the best medical care so in the grand scheme of things this is a karmic slap on the wrist but at least it's something. And his career is over. He was the worst QB in football. He was never going to play again once his contract was up.

Yeah, Dashuan Watson is the victim here. A guy who has almost 30 SA accusations on his name but yet we aren't supposed to remember it or talk about it. We have to refer to his numerous scandals as "Everything Else". We have to sweep "Everything Else" under the rug. It's really the fans that are the problem because two people in an entire stadium cheered when Mr "Everything Else" got carted off the field. OK.

The browns then signed Watson and baker requested a trade… after three teams and multiple “prove it” seasons, not to mention the market increased for QBs, baker signed for pretty close to what that original offer supposedly was… so, in no way am I blaming baker, but it’s never as simple as it seems with these contracts…

there’s a clause in the contract that says if watson were to get suspended for any reason that was previously undisclosed to the team, the contract and all guaranteed money would become null. to my knowledge that’s the only clause of that type in the contract. myself and my fellow browns fans have been PRAYING that the latest scandal that the NFL is still investigating wasn’t previously disclosed lmfao.

My thoughts exactly. Since arriving in Cleveland he's only played in 19 games (6 in 2022, 6 in 2023 and 7 this year). That's roughly $12M a game and those boos were the fans voicing their frustration for yet another series of bad decisions by Browns ownership. Absolutely no justification to boo an injured player. His injury was just the catalyst.

Well, I don't know the Browns' attendance numbers, but clearly a lot of people think football is more important than Watson's baggage. For the record, other franchises do this too; Tyreek Hill in KC and Miami is a good example. But Hill plays good, so those fans get to ignore his baggage.
