Screen tearing means that the display hardware is displaying information from multiple images in a single image. Screen tearing is caused by desynchronization between the video being sent to the system and the refresh rate of the screen.
It can be quite annoying to see the screen tear while playing a game. Don’t worry about it. Here are some solutions to help you solve this problem, and you can try them one by one until Windows 10 screen tearing is completely fixed.

so I'm guessing it's my monitor not being able to keep up with my gpu

This tutorial literally fixed my screen tearing AND input lag simultaneously. I thought I would have to enable VSync to fix screen tearing at the cost of input lag but just specifically choosing “let me pick from a list of available drivers” rather than browsing or automatically searching for it on my computer updated it and fixed everything. I’m on Windows 11 too with an NVIDIA card so I am very grateful. Thank you so much!
Yep. Litteraly did the same. That's crazy because I tried updating my drivers directly from my graphics software (AMD Adrenalin) and it did not fix it.

I've had this problem since 2021, and never knew how to fix it, it randomly occurred while playing roblox 😭 especially when trying to get shaders, the shaders kept flickering as well which made it annoying. I've heard "update your drivers" a lot of times, and it rarely helped.
But now i was trying to run Black and White 2 on my weak laptop on windows 10, and got some flickering black stripes and black squares, and your tutorial fixed it

Can you tell me what this is actually doing when you update the driver and select it manually from your computer? The driver on your computer should be the driver it's currently using. So aren't you just reinstalling the same driver? I mean, unless you're using the Microsoft basic display adapter, which no one should be using with a graphics card. Most people should already have the NVIDIA driver installed, and if it's not, it won't show up on that list. So what exactly is this doing?
Can you please do a tutorial for an iMac ?My computer does the same thing but its hard to navigate this tutorial bc system is so different.

It says my driver has a problem and now I my laptop icons are bigger. It has nothing to do with the small, medium and large icons selection you can make by right clicking the desktop. Also, I can't change my brightness anymore. Please help me😭😭

I have a Dell G7 17 7700 for 2 years now and for about a year the screen is flickering and lately it has grown in pixel size, I've tried everything I cant change the refresh rate so its always 144 but when I disable Intel UHD Graphics in device manager the problem is gone but with Nvidia driver on I don't get 144hz instead 60hz and I cant play or watch vids properly... Any help?
I have some weird problem with the monitor basically everytime i restart or reboot the pc it goes to washed out picture. When i restart the monitor, change random monitor setting or screen goes to sleep mode, then it display the correct picture until i close the pc.

Ok so I did this, and it fixed the flickering, but for whatever reason, the audio now only comes out of my pc? Like when I try to change the source of audio from speakers/headphones to AAA(display audio) it’s just stuck in speaker/headphone audio. Like I can’t change it to get it to come out of my monitor

Mine flickers but won't let me click anything or show anything on the home page I can open task manager using con alt delete and everything flickers besides task manager page and can't figure it out

Well, If I had an issue with flickering on 1 screen, this would've helped big time (as I was having that issue...AMD PRO Edition, switched from Adrenaline Edition)...
But my problem is that I use two screens, which have different aspects (Both are TVs, but one is UHD set to 4k, while the other is same manu., but smaller, and is 2k.)
The smaller one never flickers....it's the main screen.
If I turn off the second screen, I don't have the problem...but I'm a content creator, and I use both screens constantly. Recently, I had tried a technique that worked (turned off "windows problem reporting service" and "problem reports and solutions." Both were fine up to today, yet now it's back to flickering again. I've not installed anything, nor changed anything.
I had re-opened Unreal Engine 4.27, which was working fine.
I don't know what to do. I am scaled back to using one screen, if I don't want the annoyance of the flickering...BUT, you pay all that money for a good video card and the ability to use multi screens, and this is what I get??
