I think the Claw 8 AI+ is for the people that love the power, battery life, and VRR screen of the ROG Ally X, but don’t like the small 7 inch screen and giant bezels. I ordered mine already.
Im waiting for all the new handhelds to be announced/released before I make up my mind on which one I get. I'm leaning towards the new Asus Flow Z13 or Legion Go 2 but we shall see.
Me. I migrated from my full gaming pc to Nvidia GeForce now and haven't looked back. I want this so I can play some stuff locally, and game on anything demanding on GFN. With GFN I can dock this to my giant 4k TV, grab a wireless mouse and keyboard sit on my couch and play at 4k ultra settings. Honestly, I want to build another pc but I just can't justify it, and this, for less than the price of a GPU, is great.
I found that ultra7 2nd gen and 32GB for 900$ is the cheapest and latest portable PC ever. so thats Why I considered it a smash price deal. however, I might skip the non detached gaming handheld as it will not be targeted to Pocket PC fans and It will make the owner must use it for gaming
while on paper it looks to be powerful but head to head with the rog ally x its almost identical in performance, bench marks have already been done and it is impressive and welcomed into the eco system I think its a bit late to be bringing it out when the new Z2E chips will be here first quarter 2025
Performance based on what? The device isn't even out yet, all the true benchmarks we have are from MSI which show a 20% performance increase, everything else are fake benchmarks. And even those are to be taken with a grain of salt because MSI themselves are doing it. So real performance against Ally X is yet to be shown in real reviews
@@ek3jay828what TH-camrs? All of the videos are "first impressions" videos. And the "benchmarks" from the channel FPS vn are the ones that are completely faked. Why? Because no one has a review unit, the TH-camrs that went to the MSI event said they will receive them on Christmas.

But you can literally just buy a Rog Ally Z1 extreme and use GeForce now for $500, why would you spend the extra $400 on this?
Because, when he plays locally, he wants it to be a good experience as well.@@thedeleted1337

I would get it if I didn't have a rog ally x

@ TH-camrs have bench marked it against the rog ally x and there’s hardly a difference between both

The WEIGHT is the biggest issue about these handhelds
Agreed the ally x is pretty heavy. The legion go and this should be redonculous
