【Kimono Item DIY】Kimono Tie

  • This video is my little DIY experiment to make a kimono tie (himo) for the first time. It's no tutorial, but you can take it as reference when making a tie. If someone is interested in this, I will probably also make a DIY for how to make this the traditional way. So let me know! ;)

    I just use lengths of bias tape to tie my kimono. It has grip and doesn't slip.

Entschuldige, ich hab gerade eben erst dein Kommentar gesehen 😅 (TH-cam zeigt nicht alle Kommentare an, deshalb gehe ich grad alle meine Videos selbst durch) das mit dem Kochlöffel ist ne tolle Idee! Das muss ich unbedingt mal ausprobieren ☺️ Kommentare, die auch anderen helfen, immer gern auf Englisch. Ansonsten lese ich gern auch ein wenig Deutsch 😘 entschuldige noch einmal die sehr seeeehr späte Antwort 🙈🙈

    This is really awesome and fun actually. I already made one himo (as for today) with help of your video. It's fun and I'm really excited. But because I don't have sewing machine so i sew manually. Also it's kind of short coz i missed calculated the fabric but still can use it. It turned out to have about 170cm long😂. Next time i will try do it right

    Thank you for the DIY! I aspire to make a kimono for myself one day when I live somewhere I have space to cut long lengths of fabric. Crochet hooks and the blunt ends of kniting needles are super helpful for turming fabric.
