- This video is my little DIY experiment to make a kimono tie (himo) for the first time. It's no tutorial, but you can take it as reference when making a tie. If someone is interested in this, I will probably also make a DIY for how to make this the traditional way. So let me know! ;)

I just use lengths of bias tape to tie my kimono. It has grip and doesn't slip.
Awesome
TheFalloutBunny hallo!
A yard stick works well, too! (Meter stick?)
This is really awesome and fun actually. I already made one himo (as for today) with help of your video. It's fun and I'm really excited. But because I don't have sewing machine so i sew manually. Also it's kind of short coz i missed calculated the fabric but still can use it. It turned out to have about 170cm long😂. Next time i will try do it right
Thank you for the DIY! I aspire to make a kimono for myself one day when I live somewhere I have space to cut long lengths of fabric. Crochet hooks and the blunt ends of kniting needles are super helpful for turming fabric.
Love your hitoe!
YASS! Thank you
Do you have a link to make the traditional himo video, i can't find it
