- Another video but this one is all of Roncesvalles neighborhood. #general_knowledge #beach #canada #history #nostalgia #ontario #toronto #ttc #queenstreet #kingstreet #roncesvalles #seniors #streetcars
Those maroon and cream PCC streetcars were so iconic to the Toronto.👌
So glad some of them are preserved by both the TTC and Milton’s HCRY.
Nice to know some of them are preserved, I miss seeing them about town.
Amazing that Aris place is still there
So is the Ace restaurant.
Beautiful I really enjoyed watching this!❤ Roncy village is still amazing then and now 🙏🏼
It is an amazing neighborhood to visit.
Mesmerizing photography of Toronto the old vs the new! Thanks a million, your efforts are highly appreciated.
You are welcome, I love doing these videos.
Very nostalgic. It’s so nice to see familiar places from my past 😊
Thank you for watching.
Got married in the mid 80's and bought my first house on Westminster Ave. for $285,000. Good neighborhood for the most part and being right up the street from High Park was a great setting for raising kids. Aris Place was my go to place for good food.
What a great price for a home, most homes are unreachable now for working people, which is a shame. I will have to check out the Aris sometime.
What a treat! I’ve lived in this area since the early 90’s, so wonderful to see! Thanks for all your hard work, we look forward to seeing all your videos!
More to come, thank you for taking a look.
Excellent!
Thank you.
Around '66, I ran hundreds of deliveries to Roncesvalles, and they were all to apartments, with the maximum block built on a house-sized lot, and a tiny attempt at elegance around the entrance. My favourite pair was one with a little water fountain, and the one next door just calling itself the Trevi.
I love hearing the memories that my videos bring up for people thank you for sharing.
My family arrived in TO, Canada in 1959. I love your video, brings me back to the old days.
My family came in 1966. I was 6 years old at the time.
Excellent- I live at Roncey and Galley above a store. All the best!
Your welcome spent almost a full day there.
It was interesting to see how that 1957 Buick moved around. I had four of them. I really miss those cars and the times.
I think we all miss those times, thank you for watching.
This is interesting to me as I work on lots of roofs in this neighbourhood. I didn’t recognize the library at first because they have added a renovation to it but I was stoked to see that it’s still here.
I'm glad when they don't pull original buildings down, and they matched the original look with the editions.
My old hood
Lived at 289a Roncy
Lovely hood in the old day... started getting grubby
Gentrification underway
Yuppies and condos aplenty
It looks like you'll be looking up friends who have a drone to take the air shots for you.
And as always, excellent photography.
I have a drone, but the rules are strict in Toronto on where I can fly it, To recreate some of the old shots I would need a permit, which I looked up could take years to get.
