Good video! I'm in Fort Walton Beach and will pick my 21' Cruise up tomorrow hopefully. Getting ready to sell my Yamaha 242 now. I keep my boats in the Marina at Eglin. Will be nice to see these boats around the Bay, Crab Island and the Sound this spring and summer!

We went to our local boat show, none of the dealers had a switch on display! We were so disappointed!!
I looked into these and they are cool. However, they draft deeper than other pontoons, and I needed one that can handle shallow water.
They do a bit more for sure with the center toon.

I have the 2022 Sea Doo Switch Cruise 21 footer with Supercharged 230hp and luv it!!! I did 54mph a few weeks ago on the lake with 5 adults on board 💥✋️ Good Times.

Well that's the thing, I was super keen for these boats but then found out what the servicing requirements are for these engines and it's shocking to realize they only go like 150-200 hours before a major service and after 400 the choice of a rebuild? That is a deal-breaker, I don't make that much money

Great looking boat, as for the fitting in the garage Jon, have you thought about removing the top canopy from the boat itself? Maybe remove the tire wheels and set it down on castors (more maneuverable) that would give it more clearance, everything would have to be measured out first before going through all that trouble but it "could" work.
As for renting it out Jon, I'm not a fan of that (personally), unless you started a Rental Company for them (licensed and Insured), way to much personal liability against you, your house, your property, your vehicles, simply not worth the risk JON. My personal views. Great looking boat otherwise, thanks for the share. :)
That’s way to much work and a hassle to try to fit imo. Especially if pulling out 2 or more a week.
The site I’m looking at is like Airbnb when their is all of that wrapped into the rental. I’ll also have private insurance on the side too. Thanks!
@@TRDJon Not sure how much clearance you need on your garage, but you can look into converting your trailer to a drop trailer. Should be able to get a new axle and drop it up to 4".
Make sure u have some type of insurance due to death or injury when renting out and or have them sign paper of no fault

As someone who used to work for a resort when I was kid that rented jet skis and boats make sure u get a credit card for damage deposits. People will destroy that bad boy. My friend now owns the boats side of the buisness and he is continuously fixing his pontoons and replacing them because how hard people are on them.
That’s why I like that this is modular. And I definitely will. Probably $1K deposit for sure

Although I'm generally not a fan of e-vehicles, this would be great as e-powered if it could allow access to lakes/reservoirs that have gas-powered bans.

Thanks for a great Sea-Doo Switch tour! Did you get the boat to fit in your 7' garage entrance? Spec sheet says Sport Compact height is 6' 9" with bimini down. How did it go for you?

40mph is fas for a boat especially of that size.
I have a 16ft Boston Whaler that just fits in my garage. My HOA doesn’t allow me to have it in the back yard.
My 4Runner tows it no problems.

We just bought the exact one that you have, even same color. Taking it out tomorrow morning can't wait! Did your trailer come with the cotter pin for the coupler or did you purchase it separately? We asked about ours and the dealer told us they don't come with pins on the compact. Just wondering we thought it was odd. Also thanks for the awesome video, it played a part in our decision!

@@kennediwyman9844 We absolutely love it! It's a nice ride, easily maneuverable, It's very comfortable to sit in, fish in etc. Lots of storage! We're very happy with it!

How many on the compact Sport? I think Sea Doo says 5? Do you wish you had a bit bigger model? Have you tried fishing from it?
5 correct or the max load capacity. I have not yet. I love the smaller boat.
We have been taking our sport compact out each weekend when weather allows, to fish in opened ocean in southern cal..we love it, handles the swells pretty good,with 4 adults and sometimes 5 dogs…we wish we had gotten the 18 feet now…it s good for us but extra footage will be better to fish…we don’t have kids but love to take our nephews
I have two properties on the Okaloosa Island, I wouldn't mind buying one of these for my renters? Let me know the pluses and negatives after doing it for a few months or a year!

Awwwww that thing is cute 🤣🤣 I can't way to see these and the spark after 10 years when seadoo stops making parts for them and how weathered and dry rotted the plastics will get. Especially your plastic clear paneling around the hull. I bet they turn yellow and get dry rotted as well.
Seadoo does great at part availability. Their parts aren't cheap, but this is a significant profit source for the company and I have had no problems getting parts for my 2007 Seadoo GTI SE 155 ski. And it runs like new...300+ hours.
@briancollard8738 my aunt has 2 gtx limited they went in last spring to fix electrical issues on both. One needed a wire harness and the other a instrument gauge. A year later they still don't have either of them back. The summer before last one of them went down and had no reverse. Not a issue unless you have to pull up to a dock witch they do. These seadoos are junk. My buddy's 03 xp di went down due to a bullshit design a cheap plastic part that connects the oil pump to tje crank. Guess what it failed and now he is putting a engine in it. U can't pre mix the oil either like a typical 2 stroke. It will mess it up. The 951 di engines are the worse designed pwc engine out there. Local mechanics in my state won't even touch them because they are so bad. This is just 2 issues I could go on trust me. Seadoo is junk. I only ride yamaha or kawi
@@jeffbryner5355 Yikes!! That sounds horrible. Fortunately, I have had no issues at all, even with some body parts. The jet pump housing was on backorder for a couple weeks and made me nervous, but got it OK. I will see how it goes when I get to the 20+ year old range.
I'm sure they'll still look better than dry rotted wood, faded carpet, and rusted rails.
@RonTDB who's boat is that? Lol nails on a boat? Non stainless hardware? My boat is a all fiberglass hull with snap in carpet that can be replaced with ease if needed. That boat has plastic flooring that you can't add anything to or the clip system won't work so ypu are stuck with the dollar store looking interior and the fisher price outside lol
