    The nose thing was just a joke and a good ending line. Of course i know Ringo has done more :P
    I used to listen to his solo stuff more than any other beatle. Choose Love, It Don't Come Easy, etc etc.
    I was just making satire on the fact that he had the least mainstream solo career of all 4 of them.

  • @tmage23
    @tmage23 8 ปีที่แล้ว +85

    Just a quick correction to your video. The pop/weird (read awesome) divide is probably Rubber Soul or Revolver (a few years before Sgt Pepper). Tomorrow Never Knows is, for me, the most obvious point of departure.
    Also, Yoko didn't break the band up. She was a symptom, not a cause of John's increasing disillusionment and alienation from the band.

    • @tonybates7870

      Yep, Tomorrow Never Knows was a magnificent leap into the unknown. I Feel Fine was less than two years before it - that's astonishing progress. We'll never see their like again - unfortunately.
      Or should that be Tomorrow Never Nose? God, I'm funny...

    Rubber Soul came out in 1965 and Revolver came out in 1966, each before Sgt. Peppers, which came out in 1967. These two albums are definitely not pop music. Yoko Ono was also not the cause of the breakup, despite the beliefs of many people.. Sir Paul McCartney is quoted as saying “She certainly didn’t break the group up. I don’t think you can blame her for anything,” in an interview, which on the Al Jazeera English TV channel in November. He also mentioned that John Lennon was “definitely going to leave.” Other than that, your information was correct. Thank you for such a great video!
    P.S. This comment is not, in any way, a form of aggression to anyone, especially not the content creator. I just wanted to provide some clarification.

    George Harrison spent more time at number one on the album charts in the 1970s then John Lennon did. Especially in 1971 for his monster hit LP All Things Must Pass with the single My Sweet Lord and 1974 with Living In The Material World LP. John spent only 2 weeks at #1 in '71 with Imagine and in '74 for Walls an Bridges. George spent like 12 weeks at #1 in 1971 and like 15 weeks there in '74. in both years George out did Paul at the top of charts.

    Technically, The Beatles (The Quarrymen) formed around 1958 (Paul, George and John, with the exception of Ringo, although he sometimes played with them when Pete Best wasn't around). Also, I would say that their more jingle like tunes ended after Help, or Rubber Soul, because Revolver introduced new sounds (like the sitar, backwards playing, and overall different sound).
    In my opinion, George has a more impressive solo career, as he was also in the band, The Travelling Wilburys and had a couple hits.
    Also, Paul was allegedly killed in 1966, way before the release of Abbey Road.

    Drugs happened way before Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band. They got into drugs during their live performances at bars and pubs, they used drugs to be able to stay up through the night. They started doing drugs as a recreation around 1964 and started to heavily just before the release of Revolver. They used it most in later years such as Sgt Pepper's.

    With Please Please Me in February 1963, and She Loves You July 1963, The Beatles started a n e w i n c r e a s i n g t e n s i o n with a resolve, in the melodies. The youth discovered them. Then came the ballads, and the elder generation discovered them. And it all ended with poor things like Let it Be.
