    Great review. I'm close to pulling the trigger on an Aries. These Kiesels look amazing.

    Man, someone dumped a pile of money in that Aries. Both are super nice guitars with a lot of thought put into their designs. I just got my first headless Kiesel, an HD Delos. It's so light I can have it around my neck for hours without my back complaining. I love it.

      How does the HD hang on a strap? I’m interested in getting a HD6 but I don’t like guitars to hang horizontally, I prefer it when the neck is on more of a 45 degree angle.

    Hi Mike! Very imformative video and fantastic guitars there! :) I have also a Aries already which I have bought used, and building my own Aries right now in the guitar builder. One question which I could figure out from the video, what wood is the fingerboard? Looks like it is zebrawood I suppose? How does it feel? Is there any special coloring on the wood, or it is its natural color? Still torn apart which fingerboard wood to choose, tyring to get impressions from other guitars like this one also. Don't want too light natural color, but not too dark either (my current Aries has a beautiful pale moon which is mostly on the dark side with some light spotes in it). Keep up the good videos, really like your channel!

      Yes this fretboard is zebrawood. It feels great, but it's a little busier look than I prefer. I like the fretboard to be very flat colored so it doesn't distract me at all. All the coloring is natural. My guitar that I custom built has a roasted maple fretboard which is my favorite.

      @@rockguitarpower Thanks for the answer! :) Saw that guitar also in your other video, a very beautiful one and sounds great also! I like this "busy" look have already one with pale moon, however that one is mostly dark (80%), but looks astonishingly beautiful! Still not decided, not easy when one have such great variety in the builder. :)

      @@gabortoth1977 Yeah if you like a busier look its a good wood for it... What's most important to me is how well the necks play and that's always a consistent with Kiesel so it's hard to go wrong with anything they have. You can always call them and get their feedback too

      @@rockguitarpower Absolutely! The one I have is amazing, the best neck I have ever played. I will go for roasted maple neck this time with normal thickness, the one I have now has the thin profile. The fingerboard and the top - I think - more to the look than the sound anyways, since they are thin however 4-5 mm is still 4-5 mm thickness, so does add a little bit to the sound also I suppose? Can't go wrong with any of the woods in the builder anyways. :) Some of the "can be too "busy" in the look" woods I excluded already however they are so beautfiul also. (poplar burl, burled maple). But still torn between buckey burl, splated maple, and considered even with the same wood as the body, the black limba in honey california burst color. This color will choose anyways for whatever tops I will ended up with.

    I'd love to have a 7 string version of that osiris, maybe with a scalloped ebony fingerboard
    P. S. I subscribed 😁

    So, no balance issues on the headless guitar? Any adjustments getting used to the 20 inch scale? I am thinking about buying a Kiesel FG1 because I like the access to the lower frets in that model.

    • @rockguitarpower
      @rockguitarpower  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      The headless does take some getting use to in regards to balance... you'll definitely feel like something is missing, which it is.
      The 20 inch radius feels right at home for me, but i've played a lot of classical guitar in the past and my Ibanez has a 15 inch radius so I'm use to flatter fretboards. I do have an 80's strat with a 7 inch radius and it is a totally different feel. Wouldn't say better or worse, just different.

      Hey Ryder... I actually am now looking to sell this guitar, only because I got my custom build in after waiting 7 months and don't expect to play this one as much. It's an amazing guitar. Use the contact form on www.rockguitarpower.com/contact/ to message me if you are interested.
