The Northern Pikes Reimagine “Dream Away” From Platinum-Selling Snow In June
Legendary melodic rockers The Northern Pikes have returned with their first new single since 2019. The band, comprised of Jay Semko, Bryan Potvin, Don Schmid and Kevin Kane, have revisited “Dream Away” in a beautiful, driving, acoustic arrangement. It’s infused with gorgeous vocal harmonies, dobro, and pulsing rhythms, offering a fresh take on a well-loved song. The original is from the group’s 1990 LP Snow in June-one of the most revered rock albums in Canadian history.
The acoustic version of “Dream Away” is part of the band’s forthcoming album TIME to TIME, which offers further revisitations of classic Northern Pikes tunes, as well as three brand-new songs. TIME to TIME hits digital platforms and store shelves on June 2, 2023.
