Hey, I used to hear that low platelets could cause irritable skin and more pain; however I have been actively told by one out of 4 hematologists that I’m making that up entirely. Is it a real thing?
Thank you for the excellent video. You should make a PDF book that collects and summarise all your lecture series. I would happily buy it. Keep up the excellent work.
Having ITP really sucks. I’m 14 and was diagnosed at age 7, so I’ve had it about half my life. This was an amazing description, I couldn’t have done it better! I showed it to my friend when she just wouldn’t understand and it got to her. Thanks!
“Idiopathic which means we are idiots and we cannot figure out the pathology.“ “Intellectuals and their verbal virtuosity.” “I think I should stop talking.” LOVE IT! 🤣
Watching your videos make me emotional. Im often lost and frustrated in medicine. But you have god status in teaching. No way any professor can make me understand so easy. You are the best.
Like the "medicine make sense once you understand what the flip you're talking about." Busted out laughing. Making me more motivated to learn this for my class. :P
I’m a 64 y.o. F chronic ITP x 5 yrs and this was such a fun lecture! Yesterday my plates were 50. I’ve got bruises, bleeding scratches from scratching an itch and my tongue is swollen and purple and has 3 or 4 big painful sores each side. The inside of my lips are purple and it looks like I’ve been drinking purple kool aid. Anyway, I dyed a purple streak in my gray hair for fun today.
I was born with this but only understood it at a basic level like bruising easily having to see the hematology and needing platelets when I got surgery as a kid so now that I'm 26 this is very informative thanks
I am super proud that you're Egyptian I am out of speech seriously One of my favourites that You're using your voice tone incredibly well that makes me feel like i am listening to rhythm of music and stuck to my head

Dang! It really was the best video about ITP. Also, besides the autoinmune diseases and HIV or HCV infections, i was thaught that the children frequently have a lower airway respiratory viral infecction previous to developing mild ITP.
omG i really love it when you're implementing soft medical puns during the teaching.. the laughing wakes me up haha truly a passionate professor you are

i also have another question. so you mentioned that ITP is caused by autoantibodies against Gp2b/23, but on the table you showed at6:46 ITP is also caused by autoantibodies attacking Gb1b. so it could be caused by both right? thank you

Pinched nerves could cause homeostasis... So far two homeostasis was mentioned, primary and secondary.
Some of these cells could caused problem by having too much or too little disease...
By 4 times 20, less bacteria
