- There is a lot of worry about oxalate content in the diet. In fact, some health professionals recommend avoiding oxalate in the diet for their kidney patients.
But what is the evidence for restricting dietary oxalate for kidney disease?
Should kidney patients avoid oxalate-containing veggies and seeds?
Should a kidney patient be a carnivore?
What about kidney stone patients?
In this video, we reviewed the literature, and we got to the bottom line. We answered the question: is dietary oxalate toxic to the kidneys?
Very well presented. Thanks.
Great point of view. Many thanks. Middle way probably might work the best. I will keep following the chanel.
So I ate anything with no issues but I went to all fruits and my kidney function went down and I had inflammation in my kidney but doctors couldn't f find anything in the urine and no stones.. so this is liver damage?
Could be. Fructose goes thru a special process in the liver and gets converted to fat. Works great for Bears since they hibernate but not so much for humans not to mention, they’re only available for a few weeks in the wild at certain times of the year.
Just curious if you folks have examined if the Kempner rice diet still has sufficient “power” to help with kidney problems?
No. Studies show Fructose causes inflammation in the kidneys. I am a CKD patient and I had the same thing happen to me. Went Carnivore 2019, kidney function improved. Added in fruit only and kidney function went down and I got acidic.
@@nicoledrylie7671 I don't think it's the case. I think it's cause it's damage already in the kidney that's why
