Truly America's greatest weapon
To surpass metal gear...
That bass trombonist is wild. I can hear every note he plays
You're wrong; what you heard was the tenor trombone which is a smaller instrument. A agree with you on the facial expressions of the interpreter and his great delivery! I used to play tenor and bass bone until a few years ago.
@@bobboscarato1313 Are you trying to tell me the tenor trombone is playing the bass line? I think you're talking about something else. I currently play tenor and bass bone.
@@hunter2532 I said the fellow that plays the trombone solo is playing a tenor bone. Tenor has one single turn in back; bass has 3 turns in back.- Hope this helps you.-
@@bobboscarato1313 I wasn't talking about the solo.....
The bass bone is real heavy from 1:00-1:30
@@bobboscarato1313 Deaf.
that bari is deadly

The bass clarinet is just on the stand for the whole

I'm an Army veteran and a Texan, so you can probably figure out what I think about this extremely well-done musical piece. God bless the United States Army, and God bless Texas!

whats the point of an army band? not fighting any battles are they?
Morale. It's the same reason men were given smokes and chocolate in the 20th century wars. Simple pleasures keep fighters sharp and willing to fight.
+Brandon Burrows i understand having having men playing instruments (bagpipes etc) leading soldiers into battle, but i doubt these guys have ever seen a battlefield before.
NothingButTheWin Enlisted personnel aren't all on the front lines fighting, and when they are they aren't fighting all day every day. RnR is a concept as old as military friend. I don't think you understand what an armed force is. It's more than constant operations run by drones of unfeeling deathbringers. Sometimes it's just a cloud of stress from a line of work that demands more from its employees than any civilian line of work that needs to be relieved. Top brass like the pageantry, the desk workers get to take part too, the men in the shit get occasional breaks for field concerts, even the islamic fighters get their war trophies. At the end of the day it comes down to one factor. Morale. If you don't let men release their stress occasionally all sorts of problems arise in any armed force.
+Brandon Burrows wait so the people in the band are actually soldiers and other army personnel on a break?
NothingButTheWin The people in the crowd are potentially off duty, they could also be military families. The band is a specialized unit that performs as a band in a variety of circumstances. They deploy to active warzones too, but they don't fight. They boost morale. They also perform at military funerals.
