Beautiful and blessed! I love the saxophone!!! Music is my therapy and passion! Thanks for sharing your gifts and talents in music and services to our country and blessed President and true American Patriot in Donald Trump!
I'm curious, what are the requirements to join the US army band, especially the jazz ambassadors? Do I have to go to military school? Enlist in the army?
I dont know for sure, but I think you do. I know for a fact you have to go through training if you want to be in the Marine Band. That is what I will be doing.
This is one of the Premier Bands -- there are only a few. For the Premier Bands, you generally have to go to music school first, then you audition when they have an opening for your instrument, and then, if you are chosen, you have to enlist in the military and go to Basic Training (except for the President's Own (Marines) -- I don't think they go to Basic. If you do win a job in one of these groups, it is a permanent assignment for as long as you would like to stay. Some move on to other things after their first contract is up, but many stay the full twenty years and then retire.
Not all jazz styles use vibrato such as what you might hear in Count Basie's Orchestra, especially in modern compositions where you might not hear any vibrato at all!
No matter how many times I listen to this it just never gets old!
This band brightens my day every time. God bless our beautiful soldier musicians. 🇺🇸🎼🎺🎷🥁🎼🇺🇸

But beware if you don't make it the army puts you were they want.

I aspire to be these people
how come all i here is bari sax out of the sax section
Christian Haggenmiller it is pretty prominent in the mix, but that's OK - he sounds great! Tons of grunt...
Now I can't unhear it LMAO
How come they don’t play super loud? And how come there is no usage of vibrato?
we very little vibrato
