    V6 yeah naturally aspirated! No turbo issues, selectable AWD/FWD with different modes none of the other lux models offer that. The XT5 is a really great SUV. The movable storage area divider, the storage cubbies everywhere, the OEM extras you can add like lighted door sills etc. Hands down looks wise the XT5 is above the others at a much better price point and great warranty. Cadillac should refresh and keep it. They actually just announced they will carry over to 2025.

      Exactly price matters and much less than the Lexus. Also the 4 cylinder much better on gas and with the direction everything is going in with EV's... big 6's not so desirable imo.

    Great reliable 3.6L V6 with good power, great for highway driving. I had a similar engine in my 2017 Impala Premier. I think the XT5 deserves a redesign before it’s discontinued, or at least a refresh since an update is all it really needs. This design, both interior and especially the exterior, aged surprisingly well.

    Don’t know how I missed this review Lol. But I have the 2023 Cadillac XT5 Sport in white exterior with Maple Sugar interior and suede headliner. Loaded it up fully and love every feature. The ride is incredible and I wouldn’t trade it for anything. Perfect sized for me. The. GMC Yukon is great, but I have more fun in the XT5. Anyway, another thorough review. Great job gentlemen!

    I own XT5.Unlike Lincoln Nautilus, XT5 doesn't have a floaty boaty ride. It is smooth, but it has some solid aspect of the suspension tuning and very well controlled rolling in the curve.
    The Bose performance is the way to go. V6 is adding the joy of fun driving. The only thing that XT5 is missing is the road noise, especially in rough-surfaced ones.

      The all new 2025 XT5 was suppose to be China only because GM announced that Cadillac is going to be an all EV brand. Such shortsightedness when the timeline to become an all EV brand is 2030. With the low demand for EV's, it looks like GM is changing their mind. I read now that GM is looking to bring the 2025 China only XT5 to America. Woohoo!!

    my dad just traded his in on an Blazer EV. I drove it a few times. The strengths to me was the ride and handling. Just drives very nice. Engine is fine back seat is small. Tech in his 2018 was not great.

    • @G-Rated
      @G-Rated 11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      That was only the second year of the XT5 after its debut in 2017. Tech at the time was of their old “CUE” system which has improved since then. It was just as horrid in the Escalade as it was in your dad’s XT5. My my my how far Cadillac has come in that regard. If you’ve seen the interior of a 2024 XT4, that’s what an updated XT5 would look like - just a bit fancier and more luxurious since it sits above that of the XT4 in the lineup. Think of an ICE powered Cadillac Lyriq.

    One item on this Cadillac XT5 that seems to get over looked. This vehicle has the V6 but it also runs in V4 mode which lowers the rpm and improves the mileage. I have driven at various speeds and as long as the road is fairly flat, the V4 mode will kick in. You can find the feature in the centre display which will show it running in V6 or V4.

    I know this is an old video but I am hoping someone who is looking for one of these sees this comment, and considers the one Achilles heel this vehicle has. I love mine, it is a GOOD vehicle. But this past month we found a huge design flaw completely by "accident". While traveling we hit a rubber cone that got knocked into the road directly in front of us by a semi, and when we hit it I expected some scuffing on the bumper or whatever, but our vehicle ended up being completely disabled in the middle of nowhere. And as it turns out it is commonplace for these. Tires, pieces of tire tread, rocks, anything around 10-12" high has the potential to go straight through a largely unprotected channel and wipe out the weirdly low hanging a/c condenser AND radiator if it is solid enough. And apparently this is common place for these things to go through a/c condensers just from random rocks. The lower bumper is extremely flimsy when hit and with so much of the condenser and the radiator hanging below any sort of bumper bar or bumper reinforcement, this is not surprising. This is a huge flaw and an surprisingly expensive one as it uses 1234yf refrigerant $709 just for the system fill let alone the parts, and should be considered. Thanks for reading.

      You're thinking very old school, no manufacturer is doing engines exclusively to 1 brand, that is very costly and unnecessary.

    A $38k Hyundai Palisade is more luxurious and more attractive than this. Why do people buy these craptastic Cadillacs? They don't look particularly good. They aren't particularly reliable. The resale is terrible compared to other luxury brands. I just don't get it.
