why are Mangaka so underpaid? If Oda was American and made his story with a publishers here he would literally be a billionaire what type of 360 deals does Shonen Jump give
😂they are not lol it's just they not show off otherwise for your kind information Oda is a millionaire plus he owns a worth a billion yen mansion They just don't tell this thing to 外国人
He is a WEBTOON artist, so he is completely different from Japanese manga artists. The method of income is also different. Japanese manga artists have huge royalties. Why? Comics sell extremely well in Japan. If you do a little research, you can see the income per book. Moreover, the person in the thumbnail is not Oda.
In Japan, Oda's income is said to be 3 billion yen ($25 million) per year. This is calculated based on comic book royalties. This income has been going on for over 20 years per year. This is the same amount of total assets as JK Rowling.
I'm glad that you consistently point out that characters are more important to a story than the plot is. It doesn't matter how good your plot is if all your characters are unrelatable, unlikable, dull, and stagnant. If most of the characters in a story are likeable, I could watch/read a series of them just living a normal life and still be entertained. I wish you the best of success in getting an anime by 30.
I have been working on a project blending multiple genres for half a year, and to me, its a banger i really like it, but i haven't been drawing for a while since i feel i kinda peaked how do i get even better than this. Im aiming to create one of the best stories of all time and have been researching/studying writing, novels, movie stuff. Actually i have a video on my channel of my manga art.
Hey Brandon! My question is if someone is trying to self publish a light novel series but is worried about the financial return to continue releasing volumes, should they just serialize online on a site like Royal Road or Webnovel?
Hi Brandon! How come you don’t just work with indie animators and make your own anime project? Is there a difference working with professional animation studio? 🤨

I've been drawing my whole life and wanted to make a webtoon but my writing isnt the best and my high expectations keep holding me back.
gojo is indeed dead
Do you think it's worth aiming to become a published mangaka in Japan or remain an independent/self-published creator?
I need you to get rich from this. I hate following broke comic authors. I need a success story!
I’m not rich or poor! I do reinvest most of my income into making more and better stories tho
an author income has nothing to do how good or bad an story is.
