Just ordered the brufuner metallic set of 72. I panicked for a moment there, thinking i might have to safe money some longer for the castle arts metallics.
But it really comes down to personal preferences i guess. One person likes this better and the other that.
I had the brutfuner 120 set i while ago, and they are crazy soft!!! So much pigment going on! Little bit of crumbles here and there... but for the hobby purpose that shouldn't be that big of a deal.
All my life the only pencils i used where bruynzeel. And the brutfuners... It's the world upside down!😅 never knew pencils could be that soft.

I have all my metallics in one pencil case and love mixing them. I use them for darker areas in the shade or night time scenes …🥰

Ah, so pleased to find a review from you on these Rachel. I have the Castle Arts & the greying annoys me so much, as it happens on a lot of the pencils. I have a regular set of 72 of the Brutfuners, I just bought last week. There are a few metallics in the set & I've used them today for the first time, No greying! So straight to YT to see if there was a comparsion review. Thankyou so much. Definitely buying them now.

Usually I hate metallic color pencils but the Castle Art ones are different & I love them so much because they're very smooth and sparkly 🥰 I use them in my wolf coloring book 🐺
I need to get mine back out, I have not used them for a while!

I got the Castle Art Metallics for Xmas and I bought the Brutfuner metallics after watching your video. I used them both for the first time today and it's Castle for me all the way. So smooth, blends like a dream, soft glitter and sheen. The Brutfuner gave me hand cramp just as you said so I'm glad it's not just me! I found it took a long time to get good colour pay off and even then it wasn't very even whereas the Castle was so quick and easy. Having said all that I have both brands in the pastels and love them both!
There are pros and cons to both sets! I hope you enjoy using them both!
