    The jack goes inside the hitch frame. Is tucked out of the way but hard to get to. I love the Vermeer baler.

      Yea I thought I saw something on the inside of the hitch... but was like it's too much of a pain to put it there. Just leaving the jack in the shed, usually stays hooked up to the 8870 all summer unless something happens.

    I like the central greasing points and a monitor that is straight forward with adjusting settings. This seems to be a winner and I totally agree with you that Vermeer is a great brand.

    I’ve got a 605n. 3rd full season and roughly 4500 bales. So far so good. Did notice cracking starting below netwrap box of the tailgate. Keep eye on. The pickup clutch is awesome

      Is that cracking on the tailgate frame itself, or on more sheet metal? Glad to hear not much trouble.

    That monitor sure seems simple enough and I've never round baled before. Personally, I've never chained the pto shield on anything. Figured I would just stay away from it while it's turning. The way you keep care of things, it should last you for many years. Nice little upgrades on it over the M, like the grease bank for sure.

      On the SuperM, we unchained it after replacing with a new shield (the old shield destroyed itself) but this shield on here is a bit different so we're giving it a go. Helps to not having to tie up the hoses and harness to make sure it stays away to prevent rubbing issues.

    Nice video. I'm a dairy farmer and we have a vermeer tm1400 mower. Nit a baler but it is very nice to.

    That square mount in the hitch is where I was told to stow your jack. It’s a pain to get it in there because it has to be jacked all the way up. But I will say I have hooked jacks with the back tire on a couple occasions but that jack you never catch.
    I got to ask do you find in Vermeer wrap at the end of the roll do you find that net wrap gets blown out of the spiral gear and your constantly getting out to refeed that dang roll? I bought two 7000 rolls of Vermeer wrap and on both rolls and the last 30 bales I had that issue.
    I e got to say I honestly will not be going back to JD balers these Vermeers have been very good for me. Great baler!

      Will say with the wind when your loading your wrap on a windy day I park my baler with it’s back to the wind I find than it blows the wrap in to the baler and it seems to hold decently

      Might have to adjust your brake back there? Does the roll spin too easy or is it tearing too soon? We used 2 vermeer rolls that came with the baler, then went back with the Tytan stuff we usually use. Had to adjust the brake a bit but didn't have any issues with both brands after that. I prefer the Tytan over the Vermeer stuff simply due to better coverage. The vermeer seems to have larger gaps in the wrap, don't think it sheds moisture as well.

    I’ve never understood why they put twine in a round baler? It doesn’t tie, so what good is it?

    • @farming4g
      @farming4g  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      It kind of doubles up at the beginning of the bale where it starts tying before it gets to the edge, so as it makes its pass back the twine overlaps so it doesn't come undone... however the end wrap is not the best...

    Right to the Point, well u should get some Green Paint and repaint that Baler.....and on other news, the Federal Agriculture People came for a visit today, They want us to get our farm back up to full capacity as there is a lack of Pork in north america. Well not as easy as them people think, #1 we need the feed, which we don't have and might not have till next fall. Crazy people, we nearly had to disallow them from entering our barns, we have safety rules, no matter who u r u gotta follow our rules. #1 bleach footware bath. sure hope they did not bring any virus into our barns from elsewhere.
