If you’re new to eating frozen Ezekiel 4:9 Bread from Food for Life let me give you some “how to” advice. It’s frozen to keep it fresh longer, and because it’s not full of preservatives found in most bread. For several years I kept it frozen and wrestled a piece off as needed and put it back in the freezer. That works, but some loaves will have more moisture than others and will be frozen solid. You’ll break slices trying to pry one off. That’s not the best way, and the instructions on the bag say to keep it frozen until you’re ready to use it, then let it thaw in the refrigerator. But who reads instructions. : ) Today, I always pull a loaf out of the freezer and keep it in the fridge until it’s used up. Just lightly toast it to preserve the sprouted grain nutrients.
This is what should be taught in schools. Practical life skills like how to shop for healthy nutritional food, how to do your taxes, how to negotiate with energy suppliers for better rates. How to manage your finance, or invest.
How to cook, mend clothing, grow food. I used to work in schools, and they (most teachers I have observed) can't even successfully teach them how to write out a coherent and legible sentence on a sheet of paper. It's all about indoctrination.
Those amounts are not necessary. Two spoons for the whole bread would probably do. Found a recipe for a yeast bread recipe. 600 grams of flour, 450 grams of water, 10 grams of sugar.

Nothing wrong with a grilled cheese. Cheese is fine in moderation and if you use whole wheat bread and don’t overdo it on whatever fat you’re cooking it in it can be a decently healthy sandwich. Pair it with some veggies and protein and you’ve got a balanced meal.
You are a delight! You do what most of us do not have time to consider. We are your greatest fans in our household? Bravo!

I’m Swedish, but when I lived in Germany I bought fresh bread (Brötchen) for my breakfast every morning. There were 5 bakery shops within 3 min walking distance. Definitely no added sugar. I miss that!
Thanks!! Always on points, with no bleached flour added. Standing out on social media, the post also given with no fluff added.
Simple: Don't buy bread in a plastic packaging. Get bread fresh at a bakery.
Or bake your own ☺️
or dont eat bread lol
That's even more than the grocery and I cannot afford to buy loafs at the bakery. Also there are no bakeries with just bread where I live.
@@miac2382 I wouldn't worry about bread in thin plastic bags. We come into contact with plastic daily and the chems secreted by them are absorbed by our skin. I think it's being over paranoid considering all of the toxins we are exposed to daily. What's more dangerous is the amount of sugar we consume in the bread, not the plastic bag. And even then...
And at the bakery you usually dont have a look at the ingredients list or nutrition information...

Meanwhile we germans vibing in the commend sektion with over 300 kinds of Real bread.
"Real" bread is in the bakery section. This aisle is only the sliced sandwich bread. Trust me, Americans do have "real" bread. It's families with kids usually who go for sandwich bread because of price, convience and consistency.
It's worth taking a step back and trying not to be judgemental about what other people are eating. There are cultural, personal, and financial reasons people choose sandwhich bread over the bakery product. It's not "less real" just because it's not what you personally choose to eat. This is coming from a guy who bakes his own bread.

The best bread to buy is the no frills becasue it's the cheapest.
Dave's Killer Bread also hires a lot of ex-convicts and helps them turn their lives around and become productive people. It's a little more expensive, but it's worth it.
So sad it’s more expensive to eat healthy.
America isn’t what it’s said to be lol, it’s a country meant for you to fail. So the rich and wealthy can stay where they at.
Yep, poor people aren't allowed to be healthy.
There’s nothing wrong with the cheaper bread. Your body needs sugar/carbs to survive. If you eat a more sugary bread, adjust the rest of your diet for that day accordingly.
R M can sprouted bread still provide the proper nutrition to survive like sugary bread?
FYI: Ezekiel bread's inner wrapping isn’t vacuum sealed like some are saying here. It’s simply a loose inner layer of plastic wrapping - not an air tight vacuum seal. And yes most stores have it in a freezer section except Trader Joe's which has it for the best price at about $4.99/loaf now whereas Safeway, Whole Foods, Kroger etc sells it for ~$8.99/loaf. No Walmart near me so don’t know if they’re in line with Trader Joe’s or the others.
I've never seen this brand of bread at Walmart.
Well, it looks like I have to do what my dad does before purchasing his food, read the ingredients. My dad always said, if you can't pronounce it, don't get.

Very helpful, I’m a diabetic and love bread ❤
I’m diabetic and the silver hills little big bread is what I eat. It’s also smaller than normal bread. About half as thick and maybe 3/4 the surface area. So it’s a smaller portion. Two slices is only 110 calories.
I am alcoholic and I love alcohol ❤
if you're diabetic then avoid carbs. t2 diabetes can be fully reversed through diet. food is fuel, don't eat "what you like", eat what fuels you best and enhances your health.
I find the Ezekiel bread in the frozen foods aisle. I like to buy the raisin one because the other Ezekiel breads don’t taste so good

Thank you! I had no idea that there was so much sugar in Dave’s bread. I don’t eat bread often, but when I do, I’d like it to not have extra sugar.
Love your videos and advice!
