Incomplete Sports Fields cost R71 million in the Eastern Cape

- The King Mhlontlo Local Municipality in the Eastern Cape has allegedly spent R71 million on three incomplete Sports Fields.
Construction started eight years ago, but all sports fields are still incomplete.
Opposition parties in the municipality have blamed this on alleged maladministration, misappropriation of funds, fraud and corruption.

The consultant did not provide the designs, yet the Municipality proceeded to pay the service provider. Why was this done, and on what basis? Who was awarded the tender, and who approved it despite the missing documentation? Inene sisezo hlekwa ngoba yi Province ka Cutting Edge.
Who initiated the project? Was there no Premier in that Province? All SKELMS must be arrested.
People of EC loot their province then migrate to the WC and Gauteng and act as if they clever. Why must contractors paid without completing the projects. Worse of all why the municipality demolish the existing sports field instead of prioritising other social programmes such as providing water because this place looks rural. The ANC cadres have no shame
The people of that community must do something if the government doesn't do something soon. Find who was awarded that contract, find where they live, go speak to them as a community and demand an explanation. Speak to your councillor in that area if you cannot find the contractor. 10 years and still nothing!!! Yoh, I would kicking and screaming if I was living in that area until that matter was resolved. Your childern are suffering by inaction. You see a tsotsi stealing, you do something. This is the same, except no one is doing anything. 😠😠😠
It's same like what is happening in Mount Fletcher no development at all, money have been utilized at maclear and Ugie but mount fletcher has lot of velleges and no municipality offices there but people are forced on by laws with fokl services
