This was so perfect yess this put me exactly where I needed to be because I was wondering how I would get the footage from my GoPro to my phone ; loved this so much
Coming from a guy who knows about tech that is much appreciated my man. These are just the basics, it gets deep once you start editing on the laptop - so I don't edit 360 footage on the laptop. Be well bro
Excellent Video! I'm looking to get the GoPro Max soon, and I'm like you.... if it's too complicated, I'll lose interest. This is simple and you explained it perfectly! This will be perfect for my Vlogs!
Deez,. Please include more of those bold white arrows to show where the tools are that you are using. Watching your videos on my phone it's not easy seeing what you are explaining. Thanks for your time and effort.
Yo Zedhead, I'm gonna go scope out your channel next. Yeah, it's cool for motovloggers because if you have this set up on your handlebars you don't have to move your head around to get the best action shots. So I justified it as a safety expense. Now I can just focus on the ride and pick the camera shots when I get home.
Dude thank you sosoooooo much for posting this. I swear I was about to throw my camera across the room. i couldnt figure out for the life of me how to edit and save to my phone lol this tutorial has restored all faith in this badass camera lol thanks man!!!
Johnny, I love this camera. It's brought a ton of new angles to my game and just an all around great piece of equipment and super compact for all it is capable of. Glad you liked the overview.
RantJamz in tha hizzzzaaaayyyy. I use 360 videos sparingly because too much camera movement can make viewers puke. When you first get a 360 you want to go buck wild on the edits but it turns out less is more. It did help a lot when I set it on the table at my local Hooters and got all the action without having to point my camera at people. ;)
For me it was a choice between a drone or a 360. Since my goal is to bring my riding and event experience to viewers and realistically how much I would use either, the choice was easy.
Great tutorial. I've always wondered how a GoPro works. It's great that they have an app that works on the phone. You can also upload the video to Google Photos. Very cool! Your video made me want to purchase a GoPro. Can't wait to see the full review video. Have a fantastic day!
Salve amico! The phone app works great for me because I can edit while at a restaurant, hanging out on the couch, at work LOL without having to bring a laptop. It's a lot of fun. There is no mic port but it does have 4 microphones on the camera itself. Wishing you all the best.
Great video! I've been messing around with my GoProMax alot, and your video is spot on for getting clips off of it and shared. But do you have a video tutorial using Go Pro Quik or how do you edit it on your computer?
I’ll put something together but really i just edit on the phone, save that as a file and then connect to my computer via usb. That file is then imported to my editing software as any other video clip. I love the 360
@@DirtyDeez Thanks! I'd love to see a video for your workflow that uses edit software other than an iPhone. I know it's easier, but would rather use my keyboard than tap around the phone. Also would like to see how to do more creative stuff, like slow mo, or cut two files (max and Hero5) into one highlight reel! Keep it Dirty!
Very informative, do these steps work with other cameras or only apply to the 360 cam? Do other phones have that option or just I phone? I never do any editing so its all new to me. lol PEACE!!!!!
Yo Patty Hatty! Yes it also works with Android. There are other 360 cams that let you do this as well. As for regular gopros and stuff, I'm not sure what the editing capabilities are on the phone but what I have done in the past is upload gopro footage from the app into iMovie and do some simple edits there. For my desktop editor I use Filmora which is $65 for lifetime license. Pretty easy to figure out.
Thanks for this video Deez. Between you and MotoKari, I have been really thinking about pulling the trigger on a purchase. Just trying to decide between the GoProMax and Instra360 R. Glad to see the editing is so straight forward. Does it come with a protective cover for the camera? BTW, still digging the Rush poster in the background. :)
Hey MotoPappy, It comes with 2 clear domed lens covers you can use while filming and also two flat black lens covers for when you are traveling. You also get a small carry bag that I use and it has internal pockets for the lenses if you want to keep them from getting scratched. I'll do a review on the camera in a separate vid. If you want to see a really good video on the Insta check out "Dad and Mad" they did a really good one last month.
Hope you didn't get a One R (R=Rubbish), I had one, it had lens fogging from day 1! Ended up returning it and getting a GP Max and loving it. There is lots of other issues with the One R but fogging is the worse! Eeryone goes on about the Insta app, I admit its better but those tricks get old real quick.
@@MotoPappy I think you have made a wise choice, plus it comes complete with lens protectors although be honest I have not tried mine yet. Did you sign up for GoPro Plus? I did as it covers 2 camera replacements per year and my thinking was, if I get a stone chip when filming I can get the cam replaced for a small cost rather than shell out for a new one myself
Ok I think I’m on board. Now the cloud part, is that free or only so much and you have to buy more? Have you done a whole video with the 360 or just clips thrown in with regular video? And thanks so much answered a lot of questions
Good questions bud. The GoPro app is free but I also subscribe to GoPro Plus which is $4.75 a month for unlimited cloud storage. It also has a replacement plan with no questions asked if I break the camera. It also gives you 50% off mounts and stuff at gopro.com. I use 360 clips because there is no external mic port and just use those to change things up. What I have done is record simultaneously on the 360 and my helmet cam, separate the audio from my helmet cam footage and match that up with the 360 video.
lol..There's no way my comp would handle that...and I don't have an I phone. :P I'm most likely getting a drone end of this year....probably my x mas present. :) :)
I saw a guy flying a drone this week, he had on googles and could see like he was in the dang thing. I was thinking holy crap if I had one of those I'd be a total drone junkie. Maybe in a couple of years for me.
Is there a way to edit go pro footage that someone has sent to you. I don’t have a go pro but looking for a way to edit the footage sent to me on the go pro max
First video I’ve seen that explained it in an understandable way. Really appreciate you.
You got it bud. Glad it helped
I was getting so frustrated until I found this video, thank you.
Glad I could help!
Just got it for recording my wedding gigs. Thanks sharing!
Cool! I just ordered a 360 max and I can't wait til it arrives! Cool Rush poster!! RUSH ON!!
Super helpful and quick. Not long and drawn out. Thanks!
thank you so much! learned a lot today:)
Thanks bro appreciate the video definitely getting one now
Awesome thank you. Just got one finally lol. Yeah a few years behind but whatever. Hope you have been well my friend!

• Cheers from the Detroit & Mackinac Railway 🚂
Awesome DD, i just got one and needed to look up a simple editing and found your video, hope you are well mate 😁👍🏼
Yo! This is a kick ass camera. Glad I got it instead of a drone.
Excellent video that clearly explained everything I needed to know. Now it’s time for me to try it out. Thanks a lot!

I expected the video editing to be a lot of hassle. Thanks for the step by step explanation. Really helpful.
If I could figure it out, you can
Thanks Sir. I still new for gopro. My first gopro is Max.
Then you need to pay close attention to what I said at minute marker 4:22
Diryt deez i have a problem, may gopro max have a stitch line.. How to fix? Is this in gopro or phone?

Pretty good stuff Dirty Deez, I don't have an I phone tho LoL 😂, but this video will definitely help lots of people, good job brother 💯
Right on man, I only have iPhone because that's what they gave me at work. They have the same for Android. Interesting tech.

how do u edit video liner to 360 then 360 to linear please?

I'm new to the GoPro world but my videos on my 360Max are in like 8 mins clips. How do I make the recording continuous?
very good thank you
Thanks for the video on editing, looks much easier than I thought it would be. I’ve been thinking about a 360 camera to go with my GoPro 7 black.
Hey TJ. That's my same set up. 7 black and the 360. Also have a Session 5 but I never use it.

sounds like you have to be subscribed to go pro plus to use this, can you transfer from gopro to your phone without it?

The cameras have come a long way and this one has the most updated version of GoPro's stabilization technology so it's a good bike mounted cam.

do you shoot it on 5.6k or 3k res? there's a big green space on the video when i edit it on phone when in 5.6k resolution...
Go with 3k
@@DirtyDeez thank you! just found out that 5.6k is only useful when editing on pc :D
So far I don't have the 360, but I have always loaded my video straight to the phone. (too cheap to pay for the cloud)🤣

Is he using Quik app?
Yes I use Quick right on my iphone. Great and easy way to do it. I like editing without having to open my laptop whenever possible.
can't you just put the sd card from the cam to the phone then edit it on the app?
Not sure how you'd do it on an Android but with an iPhone you don't crack them open and swap cards.
What about audio? I noticed it doesn’t record audio
Which GoPro app?
Not true it uploads from camera direct to the app. There is a separate wifi address for the camera.
You’re cracking me up
Didn’t you see what I said at minute marker 2.32??
6 min to download a 45 sec video? what if i have 10 of 5 min videos. its gonna take so long to download..
the edit was crap with big stitch line at handle bars.
