Great review, I’m going to get one for my son as he rides a bike and would love this. I was going to get him a reconditioned Insta 360 as cheaper than new but he told me to hold back as he wanted to look at the Max and said the price is coming down which it has looking at the GoPro site. He loved the Hero I got him last year but that got stolen.
The main reason for the Insta was that everyone was saying it hides the selfie stick etc but now that you’ve shown on the vid how to hide the stick with the Max is great. 👍

Great video. I bought the mounts etc. Got great results. I would also like to know more about the camera settings you use. Shutter speed, ISO, resolution, frame rate. Insta makes ND filters for their 360 but it looks like GoPro does not, so getting good moto settings for the max 360 is a little different from my Hero 12.

I've seen videos of some folks saying the selfie stick extended makes it too heavy to be held by the usual double ball and mount clamp and it will break. They say to use another clamp (a double-clamp basically) rather than rely on the screw to hold it. Have you had any issues or concerns with the ball/mount clamp with the screws? Thank you.

Hey dude I think I've seen you with Motojitsu before? And for the strap, I tuck the thickest part in-between my plate and the bike just to make sure everything is snug and all stays in place. I'm sure it helps with vibrations a little bit tho.

So an example is if the gopro is mounted up front of your bike and I can just move my cell phone left , right , up and down view 360 degrees VR around you without even using a VR goggles.

I'm having trouble finding the mount that goes from the gopro to the stick itself. Any help?

How much can you speed up without the device falling off?

Thanks for this review. You answered two questions that I was having trouble getting answered in other videos. Does the selfie stick have a screw slot in the bottom for screwing directly onto the adapters, and why is the camera flat with the stick instead of tilted back facing you or the direction your traveling? Thanks for answering these little details; most helpful.

How can switch from front rear view on the max while it is mounted

It records everything if you’re in 360 mode. You can switch the viewing position after while you edit. I always try to mount the side with no screen to the front to avoid any possible damage from rocks flying up.
