Zoro's actor is the most experienced actor in live action adaptations. He has done many live action adaptations and is used to acting with swords and doing martial arts
They asked Oda if they should use cola power for the lighting and he gave it a hard no because it's too early. Then they asked if there was electricity bc no lighting would mess with how they shoot dark scenes and they didn't want everything to be candle lit...and he pretty much said...fuck it, I never thought about that, but sure electricity exists...so neon lights exist too. 😁
i cannot stress enough how much i loved how they represented buggy. he's a clown! the circus, the kind of psychopath feel when you see him here (like the joker), the overall acting of him is just chef's kiss, all i ever wanted really. it's literally the best, cause in the anime (don't know about the manga), he was a clown, a 'meh' character, that until we saw him on a ponytail and he slapped, but still, didn't really feel anything. i feel like oda tried to portrayed him like the joker but failed, but in these live adaptation, he fucking nails it! honestly got me feeling something. ps. ohhh you're gonna love sanji, because holy shit, him (and now buggy) were making people go crazy lmao.
For Buggy's parts to fly his feet should be in contact with the ground which they did'nt take into account for in this episode. Creative difference, I suppose.
More than likely they would condense impel down so buggy will play a big role but most likely not exactly the same. I have no doubt he's gonna escape, team up with Luffy, free a lot of prisoners, and steal all the credit. If they do that with buggy I'm fine with it
They were referring to Zoro's actor being Asian, not Luffy. And Brazilians aren't Hispanic. Hispanic refers to people from a Spanish-speaking country; Brazilians speak Portugese not Spanish.
@@adaurysantosYou're right, but Luffy's actor is from Mexico. I think that's what the person meant with "He's hispanic". Luffy's nationality is brazilian, but his actor is hispanic
Still nami tho, she's a navigator who dreams of drawing the world map. Plus, the grand line map is the most valuable for her at that time because if she managed to steal that and give it to arlong, he will consider their deal again.
@@coco-sh2ny I know. I know. xD I'm just trolling. It's just that "It's more valuable that gold. It's *knowledge*," with knowledge as a general term, sounds more like a Robin thing to say.
***Spoiler for the original owner of the straw hat*** It was originally Gol D. Rogers. Shanks and Buggy were both on his crew at a very young age. Rogers gave it to Shanks and Luffy inherited it from him. Except Luffy doesn’t know that… yet… whether he will is unknown.
buggy is hands down in my opinion the best adaptation of all the characters. Along with Zeff and Sanji. Benn Beckmann is probably the worst casting tbh (no offence to the actor)
My only qualm with Buggy is that he was never truly a showman. He always seemed more to me like a conman where he uses he exclusively flashiness as a way to intimidate people into thinking he is a bigger threat than he really is. The segment where he gives a speech about the show and how Shanks betrayed him doesn’t feel like Buggy. Buggy in the anime would be happy to have Shank receive all the attention so long as he can get way with a bunch of treasure (example: how Buggy gets his Devil fruit abilities). Frankly, we all know that Buggy is not strong (which is why he is pillaging in the East Blue). As far as most things are going in the adaptation, it really captures Buggy’s flashiness, but not really his character. Other than that, love everything.
Anime/manga Shanks is way too hard to replicate. don't get me wrong the actor playing Shanks is solid, but Shanks as a character is the most compelling and charismatic character in one piece, he can't just be played by anyone. I didn't get Shanks vibes from his actor in the live action
the live action isnt lannding for me because of the acting and character changes. I can get behind the changes and acknowledge this as a love letter to one piece. It honestly looks like a youtube fanmade film and the actors feel like random people who just wanted to make something which is a good thing here. But the character changes and flat acting with cheessy writing, I can't get behind. Zoro is just an emo drunk, nami is very deadpan and expresses no emotion, garp is the exact opposite of garp and ehhh just not enjoying it. I don't react. The easter eggs are cool and whatnot, but it feels so watered down. spoilers, if thats a thing at this point they did mihawk dirty turning him into a government dog. He hates the government and wants to be left alone. Garp basically calling the cops to put down luffy and mihawk just agreeing like it's nothing? Naaa..don't feel right. I don't know much after that other than arlong being a big boss but I stopped following because it's just not for me.
also wanted to add that anime characters in general would look cringe in a real life setting right? you really want a repeat of the ed catastrophe in the Cowboy Bepop live action? thought so. shit was cringe as hell, there's a reason this live adaptation is successful.

yep, he was in the rurouni kenshin live action, in the jojos diamond is unbreakable live action, knights of the zodiac, tokyo ghoul etc.
dude's crazy
I actually watched Knights of the Zodiac for this guy. He couldn't save the movie, but he was definitely the best thing about it (him and Sean Bean)
Man, why did Buggy have to be so dang...hot? Wtf, I wasn't ready!
The live action is what convinced me to watch the anime. I am over halfway through Wano currently.
hell yeah! really glad the live action got people more interested in the series.
@@loveforkuja I've finished what is out now too (minus just a few recently released episodes)

Shanks probably went to the East Blue to give Ace the Gomu Gomu no Mi.
The reason the hat is so important to Shanks, is because of who owned the hat before he did. But that's spoilers that you'll find out later
Luffy isn't asian 😂. He's Hispanic. Oda even said if he had a real nationality it would be Brazillian
