Gr8 video, I also have an Evo. I recently had a wire come loose on my yaw connector, easy fix tho!! Oh, I have o.c.d. And your fan is causing your scales to bounce, thank you sir!!
Betaflight 3.1.0 F4 Flight Controller Integrated Compatible Flysky Receiver 20x20mm Built-in 5V Bec. im going to try this fc which is compatible aswell from Banggood. No soldering and still lightweight for a FC.
Hey man, although I didn't see this video before getting into FPV and actually buying the A8S, I watched it and found it quite enjoyable. Good work! That also goes with all your other videos - I love the fact that you're pretty much alone in doing technical stuff regarding micros and the cheaper FS hardware. Thanks! My question is sort of unrelated though - what's the music you used in this video? By the way, I think you should include the name of the song in all your videos.
Hello Kim, very informative comparison as always :) And, btw any idea if a Flysky receiver with RSSI will be available anytime soon? That would be great deal.
The antenna on the FS-RX2A Pro appears to be just a wire with nothing exposed. Can this anywhere be replaced with a replacement x6b antenna? I'd like to tuck the receiver in the frame and and have a longer antenna. If this will not work then how do I replace the FS-RX2A Pro antenna if it gets damaged?
So i have the Evo and several of the RX2As and they dont seem to transmit battery power levels to the Evo , am i doing something wrong? Albert, can you show a binding sample?
I have had the evo for a while now. Have you heard about any other receivers that are smaller for freestyle/race rigs? I currently use the x6b but frsky is getting smaller receivers for tight builds. You have any insight on anything turnigy is working on that supports dual antennas? Thank you very much.
Telesys _ There is the flit10. I think thats the smallest dual antenna for flysky at 4 grams. The fs-rx2a pro v1 is supposed to have better range though and its less than 1g, but its single antenna. It looks exactly like the regular fs rx2a but its got a MUCH greater range than the original. It also has a very long antenna.
Hello, I managed to bind the KK 110GT a few weeks ago. The documentation that came with it absolutely stinks. I managed to bind and fly but now after an update to the Turnigy Evolution firmware I'm having probs binding. I can get it to connect to betaflight 3.1.1 (but coincidentally none of my quads power levels show up on BF at the moment.) That aside upon re-binding I first got a flashing green light, (no rx connection in BF) upon trying binding again I got a blue followed by a red... to flashing blue and still nothing. I've tried sbus, ibus, ppm... Any helpful documentation and tips for the FS-RX2A would be helpful. This sucks right now. THanks! John
Rx2A I love to see a video...incorporating the RX2A into maybe a stock EO10c or the E011 ...or is that even possible? I know that Beecore makes a variety of flight controllers for the Eachine whoops..But it would be cool to be able to wire up a reciever for $8 bucks on a stock whoop..a lot of noobs suck as myself are using these tiny whoops for practice on a budget..and only has Turnigy Evolution controller....🤗
Had a few problems with my A8s receiver. And heard of many others having issues. Any other options available at this time that would be a better option for a babyhawk r with turnigy Evo ? Thanks man.
want to build my drone i have sp racing f3 evo v2 and receiver fs-a8s and remote fs-i6 and motors i solding the board with motors and receiver what i should do next sir
Is this transmitter still relevant today, I bought one a year ago about the same time I stopped flying, and now that I'm getting back into this hobby I see no one talking about this transmitter today.
Not really relevant anymore but it's still serviceable. No reason you couldn't fly with it today. People are flying the Flysky i6 radio still and that thing predates the Evolution by several years.
Hello Albert, I’ve just got the leader 120 and ordered the rx2a for it, I’ve bound and soldered to the 5v/ground on the fc, it seems to work fine on the stock 2s, when I attach a 3s battery like the lizard stock lipo, the receiver doesn’t bind it just flashes at me slowly? I have the updated leader, 20a esc, I have asked quite a few reviewers on here but, they have been unable to tell me the problem. Thanks for any help/advice you can offer.
You should check the voltage level the receiver is getting with a multimeter when using both batteries. Seems something might be wrong with the voltage output of the BEC on the FC.
Albert Kim thanks for getting back to me, that’s kinda what njtech said he mentioned about the voltage at the top of betaflight should be no more than 12.6, when I connect 3s mine reads 12.9, I adjusted voltage to 12.6 and below but still no response from the rx, here’s a short video of the problem if you don’t mind having a quick look? Thanks very much👍 th-cam.com/video/ITK40mH_Nm4/w-d-xo.html
They are both great. I prefer the RX2A because of the smaller size and I have very good soldering skills so tiny solder pads aren't an issue for me. If soldering is a challenge, go with the FS82.
I would use the A8S since the antenna is longer and can be placed better, but for a 5-inch, I would use the X6B instead because of the diversity antennas. There is also a new one called the Flit-10 but I haven't reviewed it yet.
I'm not able to bind my Evolution to an RX2A. I'm connected to the IBUS pad, Betaflight Configuration tab is set up for IBUS, and my Evolution has Output mode has PWM and i-BUS selected. Binding mode for the RX2A requires holding the button while you plug in the battery. But the Evolution sits at "Binding to RX...". Anyone have this working or think of things I should check?
Even though it sits at "Binding..." it is bound. The micro receivers don't have telemetry back to the transmitter so that's why that happens. If you hit the back button on the screen, you should see a solid blue or red light on the receiver. That means you are bound.
I don't want a single antenna micro receiver but I'm waiting for a smaller alternative to the TGY-iA6C.
Gr8 video, I also have an Evo. I recently had a wire come loose on my yaw connector, easy fix tho!! Oh, I have o.c.d. And your fan is causing your scales to bounce, thank you sir!!

The bigger ones have RSSI, but the micro ones do not yet...

I'd like to tuck the receiver in the frame and and have a longer antenna. If this will not work then how do I replace the FS-RX2A Pro antenna if it gets damaged?
A full range flysky receiver the size of an xm+ would do so well.
So i have the Evo and several of the RX2As and they dont seem to transmit battery power levels to the Evo , am i doing something wrong? Albert, can you show a binding sample?
Hello Kim, I was wondering if you know if the iRangeX Tiny 2.4G 6CH is compatible with the Turnigy Evolution controller?
Is there a way to get rssi with those receivers?
I'm trying to get rssi on my OSD on T8SG Carbon.
You can flash firmware to the receivers as outlined here - bit.ly/2TyYXu9

+John Graboski the default output of the rx is ppm. You need to set that in the evolution and also BF.
OK, I'm really dumb. I mixed up the vtx with the rx... sorry for bothering you brother... all should be well now.

Beecore V2 OSD version solved the problem
Had a few problems with my A8s receiver. And heard of many others having issues.
Any other options available at this time that would be a better option for a babyhawk r with turnigy Evo ? Thanks man.
I've had the best luck with the RX2A Pro. Check link in today's haul video.
how does it handle walls? looking into buying a micro for flying arround the house this winter
Seems OK. I fly my Tiny Whoop inside my house and the signal goes through several walls and floors too.
want to build my drone
i have sp racing f3 evo v2 and receiver fs-a8s and remote fs-i6 and motors
i solding the board with motors and receiver

Yes.

will the turnigy evolution work with the kingkong 130 fly egg ? thanks.
Yes, if you buy the Flysky 2A version.
thank you so much.
Could I use the FrSky R-XSR with this control? Thanks
no
Thx for the review! So which one would you recommend? RX2A or FS82?
They are both great. I prefer the RX2A because of the smaller size and I have very good soldering skills so tiny solder pads aren't an issue for me. If soldering is a challenge, go with the FS82.
how do you bind the fs rx2a to evolution? I have solid light on the receiver, but the evolution does not recognize it?
I show how to do it in this video - th-cam.com/video/kJl5L2mfMMw/w-d-xo.html
I have the same problem. RX2A Pro came with Bfight 210 and I couldn't get it to bind at all. If you figure it out, I'd love some help on the matter!
Does the fs-rx2a show Telemetry with the turnigy evolution?
No, it does not.
Can you recommend a decent one that does .? I’ll be using it for a arfun pro95
Does the Beecore F3 Flysky work with the Evolution yet?
not that I'm aware of.
Albert Kim there is a beecore that works with the evolution I have been flying one for a couple of months.
Nunya Dambidniss
The Beecore V2 Betaflight OSD version does bind to the Turnigy Evolution controller & FlySky i6 controller
whats better for a 5 inch build? A8s or rx2a pro?
I would use the A8S since the antenna is longer and can be placed better, but for a 5-inch, I would use the X6B instead because of the diversity antennas. There is also a new one called the Flit-10 but I haven't reviewed it yet.
can i use these to create a hotwheels rc car?
That means you are bound.
all of those are failsafe capable??
Failsafe in IBUS mode works. PPM does not.
is any of them compatible with AFHDS 2A protocol ?
Artur Skrzypczyk all of them are...
what better kim ? a8s or rx2a ?
+V Revolver both good. What are you using it with?
Albert Kim i want to using rx2a
+V Revolver go with rx2a
Albert Kim thank you kim your the best
Albert Kim one question , what better cicada 10a 4in1 or emax bullet 6a for dys be1104 7500kv elf88mm
Can the fs rx2a pro monitor the reception on the betaflight osd?
rssi?
Albert Kim isn't that the reception ? Sorry if I'm wrong. I mean the reception percentage in the osd (isn't that called 'rssi value'?)
hi albert i was wondering if you know does the fsia6 receiver work with turnigy evolution?
I think that one is a 1st gen receiver and won't work with the Evolution.
The recviever is a walkie talkie
